gdepc, thank you for the post! No I can't name a company the size of CYGX doing those tests. There are a number others who are doing the same type tests according to a consultant of a broker friend. I hope we win the race however! Don't get me wrong, I want this to happen for us and am ready to invest more with some news. I got on Holycow because I am tired of hearing that comments from posters who question the company's policies are petty or uninformed. I have a bunch of data about CEO pay and our guy here is doing just FINE for an R&D company with no revenue. Take care and thanks for being so helpful.
gdepc, I apologize for not being clear. I meant to say that nothing of value from the GE alliance has been communicated to the CYGX stockholders other than GE being a supplier of materials for the research work. I remain a strong yet critical supporter of CYGX, but I get tired of posters making snide comments about those on this board who don't readily accept managements way of handling things at this point. I feel that even with a good news PR that CYGX is off the radar screen to the point that nothing positive may happen. Take care.
Holycow, your views on this board have become cloying, boorish, and negative; what's up? You call people who complain about the company petty and clueless, yet your posts add no info or DD to contradict them. Some of us with great concerns and, maybe, a lot of investing background choose to question the way the company is operating and still continue to support the effort going on here. The CEO has been making big bucks and to date has proven nothing that promises future rewards for the stockholders. GE is not involved with the company, but only supplies them with product which they use in their research. I think that if synDNA becomes the accepted delivery vehicle for vaccines, we have a winner; if not, I think we have an air ball. We all hope that what has transpired over the last years will be worth the wait. Cheer up dude. You used to pick our spirits up without insults. Take care.
gutaquest I agree with you that if synDNA finds a large market that the Company will probably get the funding it requires. I suppose I am being unkind by describing the way CYGX gets its current operating capital as "bumbling along" because they do seem to come up with the money when they need it. When I refer to Venture Capital companies, however, I am not just talking about groups of investors taking a position in our company, but rather a particular VC company that would provide funds to CYGX on a contractual basis. VC people often insist on having senior positions to common stockholders, like bonds, debentures, and prerred stock as well as having options for common stock based on company performance and company deadlines. I don't think VC funds are a good fit for CYGX at this stage. I think it best for them to peddle common stock as the need it until synDNA hits it big, and then try to get institutional investors to back the growth period. Take care.
gdepc, no I am not 100% sure. Just very sure. I have bounced this deal off of my buds in the business and have passed along thoughts that they have given me. I think that VC guys who believe in synDNA and could arrange to have the preferred positions that I have mentioned might do so, but only at the expense of the current stockholders, ie, me! and maybe you. Take care.
gutaquest, venture capital investors are not an option for CYGX except to the huge disadvantage of the current stockholders in a company like this one. The VC guys will want superior positions to the present owners in the form of bonds and debentures as well as stock at preferred prices. Should the company not be able to live up to promised schedules and deadlines (are you ready for that? LOL) they would insist on contractual arrangements to buy more stock at extremely preferred prices, and perhaps have some new directors of their own appointed to the Board. VC guys also look to gain from the failure of companies like ours by retaining the bulk of the tax-loss carry-forwards so they can fold a new, more promising company into a cleaned-up corporate shell. This company should continue to bumble along as they do until they reach success or failure. It would be nice to have a business person as CEO as this management team does not have the background to take this to the next level, if any, JMHO.
Rocket, there is no IR guy. If you have found a way to contact him, please tell us what he has to say. TIA
Cacher, I couldn't agree more. Let the bio-tech guys do their stuff and get us a business leader who knows the public company arena to take us to the next level! Right on!
Squid, the rumors that I get come from a couple of friends who are invested in CYGX and have a couple of brokers working for them who purport to be specialists when it comes to biotech companies like this one. I can't vouch for any of the info that comes from them, so I call the news "rumors". They have been on target a few times and don't pull any punches when it comes to passing along bad news as well as the good, so I listen to them. Take care.
Rocket, the deal is all gone dude! You asked Janice to prove that this deal is dead. She couldn't do it! I ask you to prove that there is no easter bunny. Go for it. Even challenge!
Rocket, I hope so for all of us. I really only care because of the fact that some of our posters seem quite intelligent, and I can't believe they still hang on. To think that a company that had anything of value that they would let go for under $100K is nuts! I'm not rich but I dumped over that much stock this year just to "cleanse" my portfolio. I read this board less now that you and Janice take up so much space with pointless jousting. Rocket you know this is all gone, why press it? Take care.
Houndish, I have heard that rumors from last month are still grinding away for CYGX and we are not to fear. Yeah okay?! On the BGII front however, I think that our CEO may be able to peddle gambling with no remorse and some sucess but has no clue how to run a public company. Buying back $500K of stock with a company that has a float of 11M shares is stupid. A guy close to the company thinks that we need a mgt change or a new CEO. I don't know. When you can knock a stock form $.68 to $.60 on a 500 share sale and then take the price to $.72 on a 500 share buy, you are in Mickey Mouse-ville. Take care.
Rocket, I was told that the float was 150M shares, but I could be wrong. The price of shares sold over the last 60 days was about $.0006, so doing the math best I could, I came up with $80 to $90 thousand dollars to buy the whole float. If I am wrong, please show me, and I hope I don't pass along any misinformation. This has become a ridiculous investment in my view, but if you guys can get something going, all the best!
onthelak, you can buy the whole 150M float for $80K. Good luck!
Paulness, the rumor that I heard dealt with the agricultural arena, in particular cattle. I only posted my thoughts on the subject because Houndish posted that he had heard the same "rumor". My stuff is third hand, and I always say so. I have no insider contact whatsoever. I got excited about the possibility that synDNA might have a near-term application that could get us to market now. It is best that you read previous posts on an issue before you a moronic post. I would like this company to make it 007. Take care.
FORDGT, I have been told that the total float of this company is 150M shares, so you can buy the whole float for under $100K. Why would any company that had anything good of any type, especially EM-100, share the wealth for that number? There is no patent app., no company phone, no company address, no PRs other than the early June one where the news wire said at the bottom of the post that they did not verify the authenticity or veracity of any posts and took no responsibility for passing on the posts. People have called the supposed JV partner and asked if there was a JV, and the answer was "no". Why are you so psyched? The stock is not moving at all, period! Where do you find your enthusiasm? Take care.
Houndish, I hear you! This management probably wishes that we stockholders would all just go away. As long as the paydays are met, what's the hurry? As long as they put out a PR about how wonderful our doctors are, that should be good enough for the troops, right? My disappointment matches yours. My friends' brokers (pharma fans all) still say our China rumor is still a good one. I hope so because of the time it might take to get something going in another direction. I think that you may have a better feel for things for this bunch, however, so please share what thoughts that you feel comfortable sharing. The thought of hanging onto this stock for years from this point on without revenue or the controlling influence of strong business leadership is upsetting. TIA
JPGetty, I agree. The brokers who looked into this with SU and CWPC among others got "no knowledge of it" type responses. What a wonderful thing the process would be if real! Take care.
JPGetty, The company was the one pumping the new invention on their website and in BS PRs for the last year. They stated how the process would revolutionize the recovery of oil from oil sands. They said that they applied for a patent (probably BS) which would protect their rights. The company said that they were showing the process to potential JV partners and were optomistic about moving forward in the near future. All this straight from the company. Don't be so lazy, go back and do at least some DD before you shoot your face off.
Arnold, I'm with Houndish's program and am just going to ignore the posts without merit and keep my eyes open for news and babes LOL. I am not going to clutter the board with a long debate over the purpose of bashers on message boards, so I'm dropping the issue. Take care.
Arnold, okay. I wasn't implying we are all on the same team. I am stating that there may be people who post on this board who are not investors and may be working for others who may make money by posting information that isn't entirely accurate in the hopes of affecting the trading of the stock. There is a new poster on this board who is so transparent and pathetic that I chose to point it out to others. I'm a little sorry that I have taken so much space to discuss it. LOL Oh and I know that I am on my own with this but thanks for reminding me.
Emit, sounds great! I got into this stock for exactly the reasons you are citing (without doing proper DD). After I realized I had been fleeced, I had some pretty savvy broker types who know about oil check out the deal. None of the major oil companies in the oilsands area of Canada have ever heard of EM-100. All of these companies have their own R&D companies as well as Universities, who they back, studying the problems you cite. None of them know about KSWJ or EM-100. Would be great though! Take care.
Arnold, a fellow stockholder is a person who owns some shares of stock in the company that is the subject matter for which a message board was created. A person who is not a fellow stockholder probably has an agenda, like being a basher for an MM, or may just have no life and need to relate to others on line. I own stock in CYGX or I would either lurk here to learn about the stock as a possible investment, or I would go. Take care.
Paulness, I was hoping Arnold wasn't part of all that, but look at the recent posts. The new basher is a joke. If people reply to him directly, he gets paid to write more garbage. ugh!
Paulness, with all due respect, please read my post 37301. This guy is not a fellow stockholder. Take care.
BigB, congrats! And Jimmy Joe, please don't answer this new guy directly, as he gets paid per contact. The good news is that new bashers mean something is ready to go. They don't bash a bad stock, so take heart and please don't encourage them or the board will be covered with long diatribes of old problems and half truths. The MMs are squashing this stock at present. With the company's anemic PR, we are not being followed by brokers (IMHO) who are active on behalf of clients interested in stocks like CYGX. With strong news, however, things will get going; the MMs know it, thus the new bashers. They will load up before the move up. If we ever get any respect from the investment world, new MMs will appear and things should move in a more rational manner. Take care.
gutaquest, thanks again. I getting excited here. Any thought on the price of synDNA per gram? I've heard as low as $20-$50K and as high as $250K. Would the end user being bovine as opposed to human call for a different price?
gutaquest, thanks for your post. It appears that a substantial order could be filled quite quickly, at least for the synDNA part. As to delivery of completed vaccines, that looks to be another matter. The business plan I envision is for CYGX to make the synDNA and then have Aldevron market and distribute the goods to the maker of the vaccines, whether it be a country like China or a prime source drug maker like Powdermed. That would get revenue coming sooner, and CYGX could still be working on their other projects. Anyway, hope I'm right. Take care.
Houndish, thanks for your thoughts. Bigworld or Tibb, can you give us your thoughts on the company's current production capability for synDNA. It seems to me that CYGX can rack up some good numbers with their present facilities, even with a low price of $20-$50K per gram. With a price more in line with fermented DNA, the numbers for one day's production become quite impressive!
Houndish, an order from China was the rumor I was referring to as well. I also heard from the same source (a broker who is very active in tracking biotech stuff for his clients) that the company at the present time has the capacity to manufacture 10 grams of synDNA per day. If true (and I have no knowledge of it myself) then the comany could generate some interesting revenue in the near term. Do you have any info about the company's ability to make synDNA at the present time? Is the above guess possible or just wishful thinking. TIA
gandalf48ct, Is this the patent app. in question? I can't understand it in terms of application to the oil sands of Canada, which I understood to be the thrust for em-100, separating the oil from the bitumen deposits. Thoughts?
Arnold, you are right, I apologize for those words. I got over-excersised by reading our newest poster. Sorry, really!
Arnold, if you think being on this board longer than others makes you more intelligent, you are a moron. I have been around sport. My post about the new basher stands. Random attacks with no supporting facts by any poster deserves criticisms. I have been one of the harshest critics of management here, but I like to think that I have been fair. When I have been corrected by fellow posters who have cited mistakes in my posts, I acknowledge them. Who are you to judge anyone, most here barely tolerate you!
Hey everyone, we've arrived! Something good is about to happen. We have a new basher to go along with our resident basher, who seems to be burning out, poor guy. This new scumball claims to be a shy investor who has lurked here for a year and a half and now wants to learn stuff. Yeah right! He has lost his patience and is now on the attack. Hooray! The MMs are now paying attention to us! Maybe we can now get on the radar screens of brokers who follow bio-tech. I have been worried for a long time about the lack of bashers here. Well hang on, they are not here for nothing! Something good is near. Take care people.
JPGetty, relax, that is not the patent app. we want, so it is not the guy to talk with. It doesn't mention anything about electro-magnetic fluctuations, which is the basis for em-100. Unless the company replies to us, this is toast. If you can't get in touch with the company in any way, shape, or form then it does not exist until you hear word from them. I understand that "hope springs eternal" but save yourself a phone bill. Relax and enjoy the July 4th celebrations. Take care.
Specul8, What a coup that would be, to have synDNA take over the market and have GE manage, finance, and market the products. Great thought! Keep your fingers crossed.
Houndish, I like the back-to-back PRs and feel that they will help set the stage for a bigger announcement. We have been under the radar here for so long that we are not on traders' watch lists. It would be a shame to have great news and only our gang on thos board caring about it. In fact, I think that the problem with our other little beauty, BGII, is that it is too closely held and no one is watching it. BGII actually has real fundamentals, you know, revenue, profits, assets, PE and what have you. It hadn't traded a share by 12:30 today. I hope they get Bibicoff on board soon! Take care.
Holycow, will you please go back to your old positive, upbeat self and keep us psyched on CYGX. All this stuff about a stock market collapse and diseases all over the place, please, I'm in denial on this stuff and you're raining on my parade, LOL, cut it out!
OT, Houndish, any idea why BGII popped on no news today and had larger volume than I can remember. I heard that the new PR gang, Bibicoff, wasn't going to start to work until the company became a reporting company. Do you have any feel for what's going on? TIA
Jimmy Joe, synDNA does work so here's my guess. If CYGX signs up the order they are rumored to be getting but remain limited to their present production rate until the fall, the stock should go to $3 by the end of Sept.. If they can bring a couple of more machines on line in the next 4 to 6 weeks, I think the stock will go to $5-$6. I think we will hear something soon but just MHO. Take care.
