CPA - re Compensation Committee
I assume you discussed salary and bonuses with them. I would be interested in anything you are willing to share re this issue.
Also interested in your general thoughts/feelings after your discussion with them. Thanks for anything you are willing to share.

Thanks. Looking forward to hearing more. Did SKS give any numbers relative to revenues for Q4 2003 or 2004? Thanks

Snackman.. with all due respect
This post seems repetitive and baiting. Does not add value to the board. Perhaps you and CPA should take this discussion off the board. Use e-mail or some messaging program. It is getting old hat. I know that you have high respect for the Spragues and want to defend them. You really don't need to do that. Their actions, now and in the future, speak for themselves and smart people will judge on that and not on heresay from posters here. Also, when you have visibility, you are fair game. People from Wave read this board and if someone goes to the point of slander or defamimation of character, I think they know how to handle that.
It just seems like there has been a lot of bickering of late. I thought someone was going to clean up the board and return to what it was meant to be.
I ask for civility and respect from and for all. People can, and will, have differing opinions. It does not necessarily mean that one is right and one is wrong. This stock is the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. This stock is a pig in a poke. Anyone here know for 100% absolute certain how it will end up. I think not.
I truly enjoy some of the debates about trusted computing and where we fit in and how long it will take to reach ubiquityland, but the baiting and bickering is getting tiresome.
Enough of my soapbox, I will shut up and go back in my box. Good health and prosperity to all (in that order).

CMF... Then buy at 1.91 (grin)
Question to anyone... I would expect that shorts would want to seriously consider covering at these prices, given the pp. Any thoughts on this?

Bonnie.. I can sympathize with you
I am older than you and waiting 5 years for you and me is much different than for the 30 or 40 somethings. So, I am impatient with this investment. I was disappointed with the cc because it did not meet my hopes/expectations. However, I am not sure that those expectations were reasonable.
My personal opinion is that the stock price will suffer more because people like us who had unreasonable expectations will sell feeling disappointed because the call did not meet our expections.
You must do what will provide you with a comfort level. WAVX may yet be your saviour.. just not this quarter. I hope for your sake that whatever you do is based on sound reasoning and not an emotional reaction. We all know WAVX will be down at the open.. just be careful when you pull the trigger, if you do. Don't sell in a panic. Good luck and best wishes, my friend.

Some Random Thoughts
Many times in the past I have referred to the WAVX "community" on RB. There was good DD and there was caring and sharing. There was empathy, sympathy, sharing of joy about new babies born into our little community and some laughs. There was true esprit de corps. Mostly, the focus was on WAVX DD, but other topics were allowed in moderation. They helped contribute to making us a community.
I don't feel that sense of community here and, frankly, I don't like it. I am not sure who big brother is and I am not certain this post will make it past the censors. How ridiculous have we gotten. I am interested in how Redbeard is doing and how Scorpio is doing. I miss hearing from many of the regulars.
Technically speaking this board works better than RB, but I don't think it is an improvement and I don't like it. It is not inviting. I miss many of the regular posters. I miss their banter.
The DD posted here is important to me, because I am computer illiterate and I don't understand how most of this stuff works. Because I am not good at DD, over the years, I have not been able to contribute much to the board. Consequently, I suspect my absence will be little noticed. I suspect others feel the same and that is why the participation is deteroriated.
It is sad... we seem to be disintegrating into a ghost town. I hope some of the regulars who have not been posting much lately will migrate back to RB so we can once again become a community.
I will continue to be patient with this investment, but I will miss sharing the roller coaster ride with my fellow wavoids.
Best wishes to all.

therex.. read carefully
There can be a difference between having an interest in 5,000 shares and owning 5,000 shares. CPA says he has an interest in 5,000 shares... 5% interest? 10% interest, 100% interest?
Or, an interest in buying 5,000 shares?
Personally, I don't care how many shares he has, I just wanted to make sure you and others read his response correctly. To me it is a dancing answer and not a direct answer. When it relates to numbers, dancing answers are always suspect to me. Particularly when they come from CPA's who are usually very precise with numbers.
LadyX
Michael. If you truly believe that, why don't you sell and move on? Why waste your time and money by hanging around and hangin on? Am seriously interested in a response to this.
Don't get me wrong. Personally, I am not thinking about selling, because I have weighed risk/reward and I still like the odds, and because I have patience.
LadyX
Awk.. I agree.. just thought they might delete my message if i mentioned a name and I assume everyone knows who started this foolishness.
LadyX
I wasn't going to give any ink to the buyout discussion, but it has gone beyond the point of ridiculousness. Wildman, I totally agree with what you say.
But, beyond that, if anyone has "special information," that they got from sleuthing, they should post the source or never have brought it up.
Quite frankly, I can't believe that anyone who would be in a position to have real information would be foolish enough to post it publicly. If they did get it from an inside source and are revealing it on a public message board, I hope they don't do business with clients that have to rely on their trust/integrity.
I suspect that as time goes on and WAVX becomes better known, companies may wish to buy them out. And some may even want to buy them out today, before that happens. Who really knows. One of my in-laws has a family heirloom that I want to buy. I can afford the street value. But, no matter how badly I want it I can't have it because it's not for sale. Would they sell it if I offered them enough money.. perhaps.. But, that is much more than I am willing to pay. Get my point.
This is high risk, high reward stock. By we time we have confirmation of the future of WAVX, so will the street. Either you believe or you don't. If you believe hang on. If you don't believe, sell. If you have doubts, sell to a comfort level. And, most importantly, don't blame anybody else for the consequences of your decisions.

Awk/DrNick..
Awk, I trust you read the: I think not." in my post and could tell I was being speaking tongue in cheek to Tampa. se, I googled
Dr. Nick. Clearly the PR fueled the rise. I was watching pre-market level II and we were up 4 or 5 cents. Shortly after PR it jumped from 2.55 to 2.65 and up to 2.72. Never dropped below $2.65. That kind of gap up at open can only be attributable to PR, IMHO. What is important is that, hopefully, this news will provide enough momentum to sustain us until/while the other factors you mention kick in.

I would much prefer that they did nothing and the stock could continue to drop. I think not. Anyway, someone must like the news.

DJT. The following is meant seriously.. and not meant to be snide.
You are up and down like a yoyo. This cannot be good for your health. It seems to me that perhaps you have too much invested in WAVX to sleep well. Your 3.15 shares from yesterday are still up. You bought afterhours because you were so pumped. Now you are worried about shorties playing games. That is not going to affect the long term value of this stock. The technical issues that many on this board are talking about are what will affect long term price... not the daytraders or shorties.
I have some suggestions for you...
1. If you truly believe in this stock then look for all the positive technicals, focus on the long term and stop worrying about the day to day price flucuations.
2. If you are not totally comfortable with the technicals, then sell down to your comfort level.
3. Since you watch the stock so closely, hold a core position and make a few bucks daytrading whilst you are waiting for
liftoff.
4. Only follow the market the first half hour and the last half hour of the day. The market is like a football game in many ways. I never watch the first three quarters..I don't care about the finer points of how the game is played, I only care about the results. In the same way I have tried to discipline myself not to watch the minute by minute fluctuations. I watch for a bit early on, watch the board for any news and watch the last half hour because that is when the closing price is determined.
5. Last, but not least.... Chill Out, Man

jparis.. here, here
You are absolutely right. I am spending my Sunday afternoon
preparing for a debate at our City Council meeting on a very contentious, emotional issue. The reality is that there is no "right" or "wrong" answer to this issue. Just a difference of opinion. It seems to me that the compensation issue is like that.
I don't know that it is too much, just right, or not enough. I have an opinion and that is all it is an opinion.
Given all the frustration this community has gone through together, I would think people would be more tolerant of differing opinions. It is hard to prove an opinion and it is hard to change an opinion. Reasonable people can disagree. People can be long and strong on WAVX and still think compensation is too high.
Can we all stop criticizing people for their opinions. Diversity is healthy and embraces differing opinions, but criticism and personalizing issues frequently smother the benefits of diverity.

I almost never disagree with you, but....
There is a difference between not liking management and not liking what they do. Much in life is about perception. They may well have earned the extraordinary compensation they receive. They may have overcome great obstacles. On the other hand, they may have fumbled a time or two. Or, they may have done both. I don't think any here know for sure which is the case. What I do know is that I heard SKS talk about reducing the burn rate. That seems to have applied everywhere but in executive compensation. If it troubles so many here who believe in this company, think of the impact on potential stockholders, including institutional investors, and potential investors. As far as I know we don't have significant revenue yet and while we assume it is coming, something could happen to delay that. It seems to me that we need to be a frugal as possible until it is a sure thing.
Most here have never met top management, talked to them on the phone, had a drink or a meal with them, etc. (Please don't tell me I can e-mail them anytime and get a response. I have e-mailed SKS two or three times some time ago. Nada. No response) So we can only judge by their actions and by what we read in proxies, filings, etc. The level of compensation does not appear to be appropriate based on the performance of the company to date. It's about judgment and in this matter, their judgment, IMHO, leaves a lot to be desired. That's my perception.

Smoked Whitefish.. Nope
Don't buy it. Price was headed south.. Battle around 2.84-2.86 and all of a sudden the damn broke. We broke resistance at $3.30 and closed near high of day with increasing volume at the close. Something is afoot. IMHO.

Way to much volume/price appreciation for it to be only the Cubic announcement. Wave was not bluelighted. My money says big news is imminent

Re Reason for Spike in Stock Price/Volume
It certainly is unusual that no one on this board seems to know why? Has anyone called investor relations to see if they know anything? I would but I am at work.
LadyX
Lucky.
I believe WAVX is under UPC restriction which, as I understand it, means that you can't short the stock without identifying the shares, unless you are MM. If you own stock, you can "short against the box" or if your broker can identify shares in a "private account" which could not already have been shorted against. It is not the price that is the restricting factor here. It has to do with the level of shorting that has taken place on a particular stock.

If you had anything to do with helping WAVE get financing, thanks. And, if you made a bundle of money in the process, good for you. Better a Wavoid than a stranger. That way, you can buy the first round of drinks in Vegas.

My son would tell you that news is the driving force. That when TA works it is only because it has become a self-fulfilling prophecy. He did his PhD research in this area and ran computer data nearly every day for years. He now works for a proprietary investment fund. He and the fund are doing well using his computer model which is based on stock specific news.

How Sweet It Is
So many things to feel good about today. I just checked INTC quote on yahoo and then checked the news box. There it is. The WAVX press release. We certainly got noticed today. We still have a ways to go... but what a beginning. Congrats to all the patient WAVOIDS. I have never been big on kool-aid, but that may become my drink of choice.
I readily admit that I was not blessed with the absolute belief that many on this board have. My most sincere gratitude to all of you for the DD and for the encouragement you have given some of us who have been faint of heart.

CL... A bit about Archon Technologies: David Knigge is president of Archon and I believe the company is located in Candad.
Mr. David Knigge has worked on selected engagements with WSR Consulting Group, LLC over the past eight years. Mr. Knigge also started Archon Technologies, Inc. in 1995. By June 2002, Archon Technologies, Inc. was a successful eBusiness solutions company offering complete, custom solutions in a shortened development cycle, which translated into quick-to-market solutions at a lower cost.
