Looking good! All CRLRF has been missing is awareness, the fundamental growth is there.

Can't say I'm not a little disappointed in the revenue figure but at least the gross margin improved from last quarter. Net loss was also far lower than any quarter we have had. Sounds like we should be seeing a dedicated facility contract in the near term. It will be a game changer to have a more modern facility, combined with lower feed-stock costs. Can you imagine cutting the feed-stock costs in half? For now the margins are my biggest concern paired with price of what Crailar sells for. I'm glad they have plans for both in the future. Kind of crazy to look back at this point last year where we sat at $1 per share and only $435,000 in revenue. Here was are sitting at near $.20 a share with a near 400% increase in revenues. The market can only stay irrational towards CRLRF for so long...
I was literally about to say I bet the quarterly is submitted late. Extension period is only 5 days, I can definitely wait :)
3 Million in volume on Friday and this thing moves akin to a broken wheel. It's pretty clear someone sells shares every time volume comes in. I was interested in investing in a small cap drone company but if a million dollars in volume can't move this thing nothing will. Will have to keep looking I guess.

I'm really excited to start seeing Crailar in the apparel industry. I think Adidas is next on the horizon IMO.
Happ Earth Day from Crailar!
http://www.crailar.com/blog/happy-earth-day
Revenues at an all time high and share price near an all time low, buyers market IMO. At least I've personally been loading up every 2 weeks or so at these levels. I too am really long here so I generally don't sweat the short term movements. Make sure to buy some Crailar Hemp curtains for your new house in 10 years.
I think 20 million is very possible as installations begin completion. The plant capacity is around 800,000 pounds a week, could be hitting that figure in Q3. The analyst who covers CRLRF estimates 23 million this year but he has historically been a little over.
The direct-to-farmer feedstock contracting could end up being a big deal, the cost of feedstock is by far the biggest thing hampering profitability. It sure would be nice to have a reduction of feedstock costs in place if/when they ramp up production in a second facility. I believe with cheaper feedstock potentially starting in Q3, the company could see nice profitability on next 10-K. I'm also glad the write-down on SC is over with. Ideally the next 10-K will blow this on paper, 8 million loss away with 2-3 million net income. I'm still very excited for Q1 coming out middle of next month, no doubt it will be EBITDA positive. I'm thinking around $2.8M revenue and $500k gross profit. Ted Sanders seemed to have no cash concern during the call, meaning they must be damn near cash flow break even if they are not already. I also have no doubt the debentures will be renegotiated in a beneficial manner. By this time next year I think we are looking at at least a $180 million market cap company IMO.
My margins were wrong :/
Q4 Gross Margin- -14.89%
Q4 Gross Margin Growth- -1.87%
Without impairment loss on inventory, gross margin would be .05%
Q4 Revenue- $1,860,000
Q4 Gross Margin- -4.1%
Q4 Revenue Growth- 60%
Q4 Gross Margin Growth- 8.93%
Annual Revenue Growth- 714%
Two customers are investigating dedicated facilities and have scheduled validation trials for Q2 2015.
Nice progress Crailar
Haha I may have been a little too aggressive/defensive but its hard for me to comprehend bashing the company with how much progress has been made. He also seemed a little too uninformed to be publishing articles about them. I'm optimistic about Monday because the analyst didn't revise his estimate down as he did with 3rd quarter. Looking at a potentional 700% increase in revenue for 2014 but an 80% decrease in share price...makes little sense to me, especially seeing marijuana companies with loaded market caps and no revenue in sight. Anyways I think this is Crailar's year to really turn some heads. I'll be watching for better margins on Monday, here's to hoping. Have a great weekend! Q1 2015 is also just around the corner...
For CRLRF any press will be good press IMO, such an unknown company.
Did you see the seeking alpha article spewing out nonsense? This guy believes the company will need additional financing with a bs cash flow projection. Anyone really following this company knows they have enough cash to get to break-even on cash flow, which is likely to have already occurred as of posting this. I like how he never even mentions how funding has come from the likes of hydra ventures and IKEA. Like those companies wouldn't have DD far superior to his own. What a biased article, pretty sketchy with the timing if you ask me.
So this was what all the selling was about, whatever, no big deal. 10-K to be followed closely by 10-Q, still excited here.
Wow I never noticed the new picture on the website, very interesting indeed. I got into Crailar long ago because of the potential for hemp and I do hope to see them continue moving forward with that, especially as the legislative climate changes. Heck I'm pretty certain you can grow hemp in SC where the Pamplico facility is. It would be nice to see some initiatives that aren't solely plant upgrades every couple of months.
I'd say they are great for the back of a kitchen which is what it seems they were designed for. I wonder if the company has any plans to roll with hemp legalization popping up in the states. I wouldn't mind seeing them getting involved in the growing aspect to supplement the textile manufacturing.
Brawny Flax Wipes SOLD OUT on staples.com. Looking good :) GO CRLRF
Very cool, nice find! I'm anxious to receive the 10K soon. Hopefully plant operations have gone smoothly. I also hope dedicated facility talks are still in progress. I also wonder if they are looking back at the SC plant with all the hemp legislation being introduced.
25% discount for the institutional investors, shareholders got screwed. SP going to head towards that discount IMO
Introducing: Kingpins 2029, The Transformers
Wednesday, 04 February 2015
The denim industry must undergo a massive transformation in order to ensure its successful survival by the year 2029, argues Andrew Olsh, the founder of boutique denim trade fair Kingpins. Therefore, in order to kick-start this much needed change the trade fair's organization is set to launch a new concept for its exhibitions in Los Angeles, New York and Amsterdam, dubbed 'The Transformers.' ?
Set to debut during Kingpins Amsterdam edition on April 17, in collaboration with House of Denim, the Dutch platform for craftsmanship and innovation in the denim industry, which includes the School of Jeans, the new concept incorporates a conference programme which focuses sharing knowledge gathered by denim professionals who are dedicated to creating, implementing and sharing the changes that need to happen to make the denim industry environmentally friendly, socially responsible and financially sound in 2029.?
"Our concept is that jeans industry must undergo a sea change if we want to be around in 2029," explained Andrew Olah, founder of Kingpins and The Transformers. "The Transformers are those along the supply chain that recognize that we must evolve and invent new and better ways to do everything from making dye stuffs to making fibers, weaving fabrics to laundering and finishing and everything in between." The inaugural event will focus on the use of water in the denim industry and consist of a two-part panel discussion on water usage during the production process of jeans. ?
"A pair of jeans requires huge amounts of water in all stages of the manufacturing process. Transformers are those who offer us new technologies and alternative practices to significantly reduce the jean industry’s water usage," added Mariette Hoitink, co-founder House of Denim. "We must actively pursue, explore and develop these techniques." ?
? ?
? During the conference, topics such as fibers, fabrics and finishes will also be covered. Participating denim companies include Crailar from Canada, ITV Denim Royo from Italy and from Spain. ?

Textile Technology Spotlight: CRAiLAR
If you are as passionate about sustainable fashion as were are, it can be easy to get discouraged, disheartened and downright depressed! It seems like every day we read another story about the ways fashion is negatively impacting the planet and the people on it. Lucky, we are not alone in this fight and scientists, designers and innovators from around the world are working tirelessly to develop ways to transform the fashion industry from a net negative to a positive force for the planet. In the next few weeks we will be highlighting some of these amazing technologies. Ready for you daily dose of inspiring? Read on...
CRAiLAR is changing the world of fashion with, two of the oldest textile crops in human history; flax and hemp. Although you may not jump for joy at the thought of flax and hemp t-shirts replacing your favorite cotton t, rest assured that CRAiLAR has developed an innovative new process to transform the traditionally tough hemp and flax fibers into material that is as soft as cotton, but even
more durable.
The really exciting part is that hemp and flax use 99% less water than cotton, making it the perfect material to meet the world's growing demand for textiles. Aside from the water savings, hemp and flax use less pesticides, herbicides and fertilizer, due to their hardy nature and have a much higher yield than cotton. This means that for every acre of hemp of flax, you use much less water, less chemicals and get more fiber! Flax is also, beautiful, with delicate blue flowers.
The cool part is that you can actually buy flax textiles from CRAiLAR right now! Granted, it's not a shirt or cool skirt, but if you are interested in a 100% compostable, 100% natural and 100% sustainable alternative to paper towels, check out Brawny's Flax Cloths.
