Dang, you guys are quick tonight!
Thanks.
What is "Reg FD"? I haven't heard that one before.

Thank you for contacting us. Because of Reg FD, communications of the sort you’ve described between a shareholder and CEO is no longer allowed.

"targeting the centre of the Obo structure"
It seems they WERE testing the boundaries... and that adds weight to the PR saying "150 feet net pay" and the rumored "this is the biggest thing we've ever seen".
Confident in the seismic data they seem to have drilled off-structure and still found what would be considered a big find. Many have said they can't keep a lid on this for long, and it looks like the lid is getting loose!
150 ft net pay usually means several hundred million barrels. 150 ft net pay off structure could mean anything, up to and including the moon. It depends on how far off structure they drilled.
If there was the SLIGHTEST chance that ERHE was in danger of losing its rights the largest shareholders would be getting out. Offor owns in excess of 300M shares and I would expect that much of the trading action since the PSC signing has been shares quietly moving into strong hands. Sure, ERHE's dropped 50% from its highs... but on anemic volume.
Friday .0258, yes, that's 26 THOUSANTHS of a percent traded. Does that look like panic selling to anyone here, even Mongo?
The longs, retail longs anyway, have all they can handle. The only volume is coming from traders and even they are not making a move right now. When you're holding a stock with this ones potential and only 26 thousanths of a percent trade in a day, you KNOW it's in VERY tight hands.
Oilman57, why would people hold on so tightly to something facing eminent doom, as you seem to think?
I can't wait until this thing pops!
1.) Will it be quick, as in a buy-in?
2.) Will it be slow, as in waiting for first oil and growing based on revenues?
3.) Will it be total, as in a buy-out?
I personally think a little bit of one to gain some respect in the markets followed by two for the forseeable future. It really doesn't matter. In the end it will be big any way it goes.
I am MAJORLY impressed with I-Hub...
This is the most professionally run board I've seen,
both from the moderator side and the other side.
One thing is for sure after today... the pot is
boiling. I've seen it on RB before, but here it's
so orchestrated. The deal that caused this painful
silent period is about to be announced.
Do I "know" that? Nope. But there have been people
around here that have completely changed their stance
from pro ERHE to anti-ERHE.
Why?
If something has happened that minimized ERHE's
potential then sell. If you believed the potential
was comprimised why bother posting negatives about
a stock you either want to get out of or just did?
It makes no sense.
Spec, this may be of some limited use...
http://www.equatorexploration.com/press/documents/Corporate%20Presentation%20June%202006.pdf
Page 33 and 37 are of interest. Actually the whole document is interesting, but pg 33 and 37 are pertinent to ERHE.
This HAS been posted before. Don't know if you saw it.
STP isn't stripping anyone's rights...
If STP intended to strip ERHE's rights they would have done it already. Now ERHE has sold portions of those rights to Sinopec, Addax, and Anadarko. If they strip ERHE's rights, then ERHE never had the rights which it sold.
Sinopec's rights would be voided.
Addax's rights would be voided.
Anadarko's rights would be voided.
Sao Tome would forfeit the $145M signing bonuses.
ERHE would forfeit the $45M signing bonus.
It would be a decade before all that cleared all the lawsuits. And then the renegotiation of the entire JDZ would start. It would take XOM/CVX offering STP $1 Billion over the next decade to get them to walk away from the signed deals they have now.
Anyone think XOM/CVX are bribing with a billion dollars?
I know I don't. I think oilman got his hands on whatever it was AA said is coming and it's coming soon. So oilman chucked his morals out the window and put on his greed cap and now he's posted the same thing over and over, what is it up to now, 40 times today?
He's gone so far as to try to discredit alwright and I by saying we are the same poster. I have requested that Matt clarify that. It's just silly games.
oilman, I'll defer to Matt to send you...
a PM confirmation that I am not alwright and he is not me.
Quit being silly. Now your trying to discredit posters with made up B.S.
Matt, please send this guy... no, post it here for everyone to see... that I am not anyone but me.
Thanks.
Good lord OM57... name calling???
I can't wait to learn what you've learned to sell your soul like this. It must be REALLY good!!
LOL, I love this place! It's better than the zoo!
oilman is DEFINATELY onto something...
He seems to have come across some information that has caused him to become EXTREMELY active on the negative side of things. Considering the market is closed, I can't believe what he has come across is game-over negative information or he wouldn't be posting until he could get out next week. So I've got to assume whatever he's found is significant enough for him to throw his morals out the window and become a switch hitter on this board.
Whatever. Lot's of folks just like him are here.
Spec29, "ERHC is powerless in STP"
That's true, but the Nigerian contingent (the majority) of the JDA/JMC will never ratify a rewritten treaty that leaves ERHE out of the picture. SEO would have heads rolling.
Walldog, to what end?
What does the U.S. get by attacking ERHE? You could pull all U.S. companies out of Nigeria and the ones that replace them will still sell their oil to the highest bidder.
Are you suggesting that the DOJ/SEC are attacking 3 employee ERHE to enhance the revenue of Big Oil?
That's more of a stretch than ole Stretch Armstrong! (I just showed my age there!)
I'm not so naive to think that corruption is non-existant, but you are suggesting that Big Oil tapped the DOJ/SEC on the shoulder and said, "psst, can you take out that 3 person minnow for us?". Even if they did the DOJ would laugh and say, "squash it yourself".
Sao Tome requested an investigation and they are getting one. There's nothing any more sinister about it.
Now THAT is "bad press rising"...
"pathetic press rising" is more accurate. ERHC in bed with CVX/XOM in block 1 ROTFL!

Platina... to what end?
"SEC and DOJ R fishing"
Why. Neither entity will benefit from this at all.
There's no conspiracy theory here. Sao Tome AG requested an investigation and they're are getting one, albiet late and after the complaint had been put to rest.
I'm sure there is a taint from Jefferson as well. That's not what they are looking for based on what they took during the raid. But even being acquainted with Jefferson suggests a possibility of bribary going on.
Bottom line, it's a follow-up for the STP AG and nothing more.
I doubt charges will ever be filed.
This ought to take the looong timers back a bit!

Thanks@Dadd...
The responses to your deleting the ABB posts have been very enlightening. You can CLEARLY draw a line between who is looking to deploy dry powder and who's loaded!
LOL!
Strange wording...
"worth one billion barrels". Why not OBO-1 contains one billion barrels".
"picture we're yellow they hit the blue" comes to mind. Did they hit mostly natural gas "worth one billion barrels"? Is most of the "yellow" in B2, B3?
The silence is very telling.
I can see the lawyers issuing a gag order for anything related to the investigation. That just makes common sense. But the vacuum of information here is more void than the vacuum of outer space. I've got email out to Dan at KeeneyPR and not even an acknowledgement comes back, let alone any answers.
In addition to the investigation gag order, I think ERHE is in a total lockdown quiet period like nothing I've ever seen.
Somethings up.
Walldog, post that on the Chevron board. Haven't they been denying a find of such magnitude? LOL!
jdubs, I just visited the jail and went back 3 days... no umbra posts. How do you know he's been jailed?
I'm a newbie at these extended features.
Mongo is not a basher looking for cheap shares...
LOL! I'm sure THAT turned a head or two. Mongo has been around Waaay to long and has ALWAYS been negative. Mongo wants the destruction of ERHE, not shares. He either works for or is paid by big oil.
That or he's a bored 16 year old, or just plain needs serious meds.
Anyone wonder why Mongo got deleted and now we're seeing his posts again? LOL!
Alwright, if what you are seeking is to find out that by using a subsidiary that sub is immune to U.S. legal, I'm afraid that may not be the case.
Subsids are used to make the accounting for each block less of a nightmare. It probably wasn't even formed until the PSC signings neared and wouldn't have existed when the suspected violation happened (if we're guessing correctly that this is bribe related).
Excellent read...
It's simply a sales pitch for his newsletter, but loaded with Oil market tidbits. It's quite long though.:
http://www.stansberryonline.com/oil/20060524-OIL-STO.asp?pcode=WOILG572&alias=launch&scode=X...
Maestro, based on recent transactions... $24 per share.
10B bbl in all our blocks means "roughly" 1B bbl proven for ERHE. Recent buying in the oil patch has been at $17 per barrel proven.
17B / 700M outstanding is $24 a share.
I don't dare talk about the stock with you around. I'll surely be label a pumper if I can't link to an SEC document or a PR.
I-HUB's very existance is predicated on speculation. It exists for investors to fill the gap between SEC filings and PR's. By the very definition, information outside of SEC filings and PR's is speculation. I refuse to be a paying member of a MODERATED BOARD where the moderators allow non-paying members to destroy the very activity I-HUB exists to promote. Maestro performs a surgical character assasination on anyone who posts anything that is not backed up as fact (ie. speculation). If they want to keep a non-paying member that is undermining the very foundation of their business, that's their choice. But it's also my choice to cancel my membership as a paying member of I-HUB. In their need to be politically correct I-HUB admin/moderators are allowing the very basis of their business to be destroyed. I'm not paying for that.
Marcel, grow up already...
You can't disprove anything said on this board any more than I or anyone else can prove it. Somebody says X, you say X is B.S. neither of you can prove anything. It's ALL B.S., everything the oilphant's and umbra's say is B.S., just as much as your claims that what they say is false is B.S.
You're starting to sound like maestro:
Someone says something, but you scream it's a lie because they didn't back it up, or maybe you have a chip on your shoulder that you were out of the loop... okay, you back up your claims that what has been said is a lie.
You can't.
Welcome to message boards... a complete waste of time if you're looking to make money, but a lot of fun (apparently) if your ego needs a boost in the arm!
I read and interpret oily because it's fun. We aren't filing SEC documents here on I-HUB... this entire board EXISTS for speculation. Anyone wanting just facts should only read Edgar and stay off the message boards.
Why don't you have captain Ego on ignore? It really makes things better. No matter who says anything positive... they are wrong. But maestro can claim with 100% certainty that the positive posts are lies. He has no more proof to back up his speculation than the oilphants/umbras have provided to back up theirs.
But he and only he is right... whatever.

"The outcome of the war is in our hands; the outcome of words is in the council."
"The outcome of the war is in our hands"
The "war" is about ERHE's rights. They are "in our hands". All he means is ERHE already has that which the war is about and that will not change.
"The outcome of words is in the council"
The lawyers need to get up on their soap boxes and pound their chests so the managers that screwed up are vindicated of their mistakes. "But BigOilBossMan, we don't have any more rights in the JDZ because those d@mn lawyers lost the case. It's not my fault"
It's all smoke and mirrors trying to intimidate ERHE into accepting a lowball offer. That won't happen.
saleen, CNBC had a one-liner blurb about CVX "in excess one 1 billion barrels" find in the JDZ. It was short, but it was sweet!
Calling longs in ERHE "bagholders" shows your intent to instill doubt and that will not win you any friends here.
"the way a "gang" of longs, make up stories, control boards, create mysterious insiders and outright lie about what is or is not happening"
How is different that you say as absolute fact that the things said here are false? Neither "side" knows. You say it's lies others say they're facts, but you're right and they're wrong.
Kinda arrogant saying you're right and everyone else is wrong when nobody knows, don't you think?
Calling ERHE a "dodgy security" on a board populated with people who believe in it will, by fact of human nature, get folks riled up. That's why you did it.
"The facts are as I posted" again with the arrogant "I'm right, your wrong" attitude. You certainly are full of yourself, aren't you. Bottom line, outside of the SEC filings and PR's we don't know any other "facts". Neither the longs, nor you... no matter how much you proclaim to the contrary.
"obvious problems and tremendous risk". The only real concern facing ERHE right now is the DOJ/SEC investigations. Regardless of outcome the rights ERHE has in the JDZ were granted to it by an international treaty between two nations. Noone outside of the JDA/JMC has jurisdiction over those rights. The DOJ/SEC may be able to extort some money from ERHE, but they can't affect ERHE's rights in the JDZ.
I know you didn't come here to make friends, but it's clear that you didn't come here to debate issues about ERHE. It astounds me that you can come in here and expect everyone to believe your words as gospel truth when that is the very thing you yourself refuse to do... it's called hypocrisy.
The cynic in me...
ERHC Energy gets $45M in cash at the PSC signings. Now the DOJ and SEC want a chunk. I've seeen it before. It's pathetic, and officials from both organizations should be jailed for it.
Call it a luxury tax. The luxury is all theirs.
"meridian was correct"
Lucky guess or did he know something? If you assume he knew, then how?
I won't accept he is with the DOJ, so that puts him within big oil, or at least within a company with a desparate itch to get into the JDZ... enough of an itch to intend harm, not necessarily this investigation, but some action against ERHE.
I think meridian simply meant "the gloves are coming off, they'll be coming at ERHE from all sides". He had no advanced knowledge of the DOJ efforts, IMO. It just looks to me like he works for another competitor and may have some knowledge of his company's plan to do EHRE harm. I really doubt that though, it makes more sense that he was making a blanket statement that the JDZ as a whole is becoming a bee's nest.
Didn't his statement come after CVX finished obo-1 and found oil? Any one of us could predict tough times ahead after oil was proven in block 1, in fact many here DID say it's going to be an exciting, albeit bumpy ride up.
Walldog said it best...
The JDA/JMC is the governing body that has sole jurisdiction over the JDZ.
Not Sao Tome...
Not Nigeria...
And certainly NOT the United States!
The JDA/JMC has rejected the complaint as without merit. It's over already. Someone in the DOJ must own a lot of XOM or CVX stock, that's all.
"they are helping SEC and Feds attempt to investigate"
Read: They are openly telling us they have NOTHING to hide.
This is the DOJ limping along finally getting around to the Sao Tome request for an investigation... after the JMC has already rejected the complaint entirely.
Big Oil may be making a campaign contribution or two to somebody to propogate an already closed complaint. ERHC's full cooperation shows they have nothing to hide, and Brandhuber's statement that ERHE's rights are protected by international treaty and not in danger demonstrates that.
Does anyone really believe that Sao Tome wants to give back the $145M they just collected? What is that, like 10 years of their GDP? Does anyone really think that Sao Tome wants to not only give back that $145M, but to lock up the JDZ for a decade or longer? Sao Tome isn't behind this. It's the slowness of the DOJ getting to the since resolved complaint, with possible fuel thrown on the fire by Big Oil.
Nothing will come of it. We'll probably have first oil before it gets resolved the way the DOJ operates!
This reporter needs to be sent a link showing that both the government of Nigeria and Sao Tome have dropped this matter completely.
The slugglish wheel of American law are just now catching up to the request that was made a while back.
