Flipper? I do believe he is doing it on porpoise. Oh, whale.
I am so low, they would have to fatfinger with two zeroes after the decimal place. Put me down for the guy who buys when somebody sells at .001
Remember the time that one guy fatfingered the futures market for millions? The whole market just collapsed for a few hours.
Is that why Merril does't exist any more?
I think I might put one at .006 and hope somebody "fatfingers" it.
I would be willing to bet that nite is buying the shares at .15 and selling them to anybody who is joining him at the bid. He will whack it later and pick up the pieces.
Anybody home?
I think you guys just bought too many shares. Just sell them back to me at half what you paid for them (last week), and then the volume will go back up
I am stunned. I was just writing about a different angel, and noticed that the next post said RIP as mine did. My wife passed in '04. I had no idea this was happening. My sympathies to the family if they ever read this.
Hi Tina Marie. My ex's name was Tina Michelle. RIP, cancer 48.
Anyway, I use technical and fundamental analysis, and I took a look at a few of the plays you mentioned.
I started typing this as I was looking at HESG for the very first time. Nice chart. What I would look for here is a peak, and a retrace without even checking the fundamenatals. I am not a buyer here unless the fundamentals turn out to be like ARTA and we are trading $3.00 or so of assets for the 31 cent ticket. If the stockholders equity comes in less than 25 cents, "Houston, we have a problem." I like the chart.
I didn't need that many and they gave me the whole thing in one shot. I was thinking about placing a second order, but I need to keep some liquidity for other plays. I just wanted to be in for any distribution they decide to hand out this year. If I make some mony on other plays, I might try again.
The ask has been .35 for a month. Maybe it changed a few times, but not much. I finally picked up a few shares.
Somebody needs to teach him how to drive. I am waiting with open arms.
How many days ago? I am stickler for detail. Not just for me, but for everyone's info. (we can all add how many shares traded since then)
Float according Reuters on what day? "News" is "News," can we call that "Olds" yet? Has anyone called the transfer agent?
You bully! You know if you hadn't bouht so many of them yesterday, we all would have had more time to accumulate.
I think you like this stock. RU still liquid?
Looks like NITE might be on IHUB. That bid came in right after I wrote. I get the feeling he doesn't like holding all of those shares, but won't get out unless another broker takes "all," ie gets him out of the spotlight, and puts his position at 4.9% or lower. That is about 1.3 million shares or so.
So if you guys are really interested, start putting in AON's of 1/2 a million shares from .005 up, and we have an auction.
L2 please!
Is NITE in the middle with a giant AON again?
He might actually be trying to get someone to take the AX.
This stock needs a "lead Market Market"
You BS, and you might get caught lying down on the job.
I know there are 3 million series A. They paid $10 + change. Was that supposed to be interest or part of the $25 liquidation value? In other words, how much is the total remaining? I dont suppose it is over $75 million which is "insignificant" according to the last TGL filing.
I wonder about these guys. "No distribution" either means "We're broke" or it means we don't expect to pay any dividends until we can start writing policies again. That is "looking forward" we expect to have a business, not a bank.
Of course, it might be a bit of trouble making a business with all of the TAC people involved in the lawsuit and the AIG and General Re guys going to jail or getting their fingers slapped.
"They" really can't do that. the other MM's would jump in unless there is an AON in the spread. That is the kicker. Just like this morning when NITE disappeared because they put a HUGE AON to sell at a low price. Nonoe ot the other MM's wants to take over and be the AX. At that price, you have to say R-U-N-IDtenT! If I had enough cash to run an MM business, whatever Nite offered at that price was mine.
(are you an idiot?) ten =10
I really wish I had the shares to fill you, but if you ever make it down here, look for the box with GE Model number SSL25KFPD BS. If you find me, I might share a 40 with you. You like malt liquor? Me and the boys are gonna party to nite.
I am trading from a refrigerator box on skid row with a laptop. I don't have near that kind of money;)
Stand back folks. Temp is gonna whack it.
Sweeeeeeeet. 40% profit on 66% of my shares. Keeping the rest for a target of 11 cents.
It could be a negotiated settlement. That is what GOOD lawyers do best. Why pay court costs if you can pull off a win-win negotiation? If a Lawyer can't settle out of court, he is getting paid too much for doing squat.
Would you put a decision in the hands of a Jury or a Judge with an average IQ of 110 if you have an IQ of 130 or better?
The seller probably just pulled his AON for 5 million shares.
Tricky. Good way to gauge the interest.
Is NITE on the ask and the bid now? Any guesses who actually has 5 million shares and can play that game?
I am lowering my bid and increasing my quantity, and taking off the AON, just in case. I will chase this thing out of the hole.
I love those support spikes on the daily chart.
Amy says go for it. I luv Amy.
Ok, this probably means there is a HUGE AON asking for .006 or less. If everybody is telling the truth. The MM is collecting the orders and will execute when the quantity accumulates.
That explains why I am not getting mine:)
Are you AON like me?
Are you guys in brain freeze or is nobody liquid around here? why isn't the bid going up?
I actually lquidated almost everything I could last week to pick this up for a penny. Now it is even cheaper. I will be moving it soon.
I see zero volume. Is the market open yet? Is this halted?
Usually I wouldn't say so, but this time, I hope the door slaps them on the way out.
ARTA sitting near the bottom of a retrace. Could get worse, but the volume seems to indicate a lack of sellers. Accumulation could reward the patient. Books show a clear indication of value underlying the stock. Hit hard by financial reality.
When the MM's turn into hogs and start pigging out on the good plays and don't turn any over to retail, as they already have, retail walks away and doesn't return for a generation.
Bears make money. Bulls make money. Pigs get skewered.
Get used to empty boards. This recession is going depression. People don't have any interest in stocks in a bear market. This could be a bit worse. If you find the "Bull Market" come back and tell us. There is a almost always a bull market somewhere.
I thought it was a nice place to take a stand. I didn't get many shares, but I didn't need or want many more.
It held. I had a few orders below it. I would have almost twice as much if they had delivered at .008.
That is one of those legalese complications. There are some special details for broker/dealers that I didn't pay a lot of attention to. The first 13g must be amended each time a 1% change occurs, from my understanding, then at 10% they become an insider, which the form 3 and 4 become involved. They can possibly file once a year unless they deal more than a certain percentage difference of their reported position. They can theoretically assign shares to long term and short term positions, and lower their base cost of lots.
I would assume they don't close the day far off of their recorded position, and trade as if they held no shares for the most part. They seem to lower the price when they need shares, and raise it when they are holding them. They will get out of the way if there is a large volume move in either direction. MM's know how to do this. They understand momo at least as well as we do.
My reading of the rule is that they are technically an insider, and have to disclose anything more than 1% difference within ten days, and must not trade for ten days after disclosure. If they are up or down .99% from their reported number, they don't need to report but once a year. What is 1% of the outstanding shares?
You might want to ask an Attorney for a more reliable answer. I can only say what my reading gave me, and the legalese is tough to read.
Isn't it intesting how the names, faces, and personalities seem to melt together? Why does all the cash end up with the Lloyds, with Berkshire, and with Swiss Re?
You know one of the fastest ways to catch the biggest criminals is to go straight for the bank accounts. Not that De Balzac was right: "Behind every fortune lies a crime," but investigators have a way of following the money.
Tac is a separate company now, but was a subsidiary then. The sub is whom is named in the suit. Tac has been an impediment ever since the JPL split them off. I noticed Swiss Re is coming in with the plaintiffs. I wonder where the litigation trust comes in. Was AIG part of the deal to split off Tac after the BK? I know it was some heavy hitters that Mr. Arpad met in court. May TGL will end up with some of those bailout funds after all? Might just be better to let it die, but bailout the shareholders who/are were the real victims.
As usual, the Lawyers get all of the money, and the shareholders get scraps if they are lucky. Wanna bet all the "plaintiffs" companies are corporations with nothing better to do with the shareholders money than waste it on lawyers filing lawsuits against bankrupt companies? If this was a DOJ investigation, the stakes would be more interesting. Stealing pennies from penny stocks?
Was there an uptick?
I was always green. I am a martian trader. We have come to take over your stock market. Take me to your leader.
Can you show my the inside book, ie buys and sells with an AON condition? I don't think so. That ain't air. That's Temp;)
I don't plan on giving my profits to the broker as a commission. I require minimum size above the market bid quota.
