Is it about time for a ban? I would think that type of sentiment would qualify for one. Lord knows what I might say if I snapped back.
Temper, temper. We don't really need to have this message board disrupted by little hissy fits.
Who did I insult? I merely asked about Bozo. I didn't make any inferences to people who actually write here or their own family members. If I did, I could do much better than that.
I wonder if they closed the AIM transactions to keep Thomson Reuters from publishing the link between GWOW and GWI.TO.
Their excuse was good. I think AIM had only three transactions the whole year last year. It sure would be a waste of money to provide data to London for that kind of market response.
That would be fun. I wonder how many attorneys in the US could be disbarred for allowing it after insisting that it wouldn't be? Maybe they could simply be charged with perjury?
Then of course, there could be wire fraud involved if they published it.
A lot of times the MM won't give you the shares if you bid it up anyway. If somebody sells at the bid, the MM will take it for his own account until he has inventory. Sometimes I will put the bid up for a few minutes, and if I don't get a fill, I drop it back out. I like to turn the fear back on the MM.
As long as you have a long position to cover the margin requirement, you never have to cover. You could have a convertible bond and they call that "shorting against the box"
You have to consider taxes. If he takes a profit, he has pay the taxes. Maybe he spent the money already and can't unwind the position.
Somebody is buying again this morning.
It is strange that they don't bid it up, but there seems to be some whacky traders out there. Maybe it is a ploy to make us think there is no real interest.
I hope it was the Board of Directors and they have a new business plan. Keep an eye on the filings.
Interesting action last week. Any new shareholders hanging around?
And so I called "Freddie Fatfinger" he said just give me some time. I am bound to screw an order up, and that's the bottom line.
Relax said the "NITE" man. We are programmed to sell.
The next Bull Market you find, might be in a place called "Hell"
Last thing I remember, I was running for the door.
I had to find a passage back to the place I had bought before.
Isn't he always? He is usually the big buyer too, and makes his money riding in on the black horse. The Jousting Tournament continues. Has anybeody seen my damsel in distress? I have notice that the White Knights of the Round Table have gathered for this feast. "They stab it with their steely knives....."
But there are only 3 million LSRAF shares.
Did you pick this stuff out of some Scottish Loch ness ops or what?
Please don't delete this message if you don't understand it. I am sure that Lifegear does. It is NOT an insult, but a testament to his DD skills.
It is, however, somewhat C-R-Y-P-T-I-C
Anybody fishing this morning?
DPBE might be a catch. I am considering getting my feet wet, but waiting for still lower prices. Somebody jumped in the water. Are they drowning yet?
Good Morning everyone, from the sleepy west coast fishing village.
BTW- Thanks Tina. The Private message was very comforting. hope things are going better for you. "My" Tina sends you salutations and love from the afterlife.
It's probably not worth the commission. He might have what 10000 shares short? That is $90,000 that he would have to declare on his tax return. He wants to die and leave the Bermuda Shorts to his kids.
December 2007 8K published matter of record.
BV was $35 million for LSH. LSUK was a sub. LSUK had the value. 87-67 is 20. There was an excess over the debt of 18 on the sale per distribution 8K 20+18 =38 sale price.
So, does anybody want to make a wager on who is going to be the first brokerage house to get their research deparment back in shape from the collapse, and buy this in America, and sell in Canada?
I can't read British pounds, so I don't know what the price of AIM is in London.
One final note on calculation. The $10.30 Liquidation payment should have stopped the clock on dividends. No more dividends should be allocated to LSRH, so whatever owed dividends are carved in stone from the day the $10.30 was paid, because a liquidation was announced and substantially consumated.
They could theoretically throw in a pro-rata kicker, but shouldn't be obligated to do so based on the share price of LSRAF before, during, and after the Liquidation.
So the LSRAF holders got 10.30, but Dondood says they only get $15 more, but Dondood, I thought you were an accountant or something? Isn't there also a bunch of money in unpaid dividends owed to LSRAF? I can't remember for sure, but I think it was $1 per year. That is another $6 or $7 depending on the timing of the dividend payment suspension. So I think it would be much better to say that LSRAF is still owed about $22 per share. 100 times what it is selling for, and more secure about getting paid than this is, because they get paid first, and then dissolved. That is written in the filings. LSRH will be dissolved.
I figure go for step one, then follow with step two.
Of course, if you read the previous note, the 38 million was paid out, and that is the deal that canopius made for the LSUK Lloyds franchise, so we don't have a "going concern" anymore. We sold that. On the Other hand, the old going concern had a $67 million note to Trenwick, and they owed $87 million to LSRH. That would have been $20 million of the amount canopius paid to Trenwick for LSUK, leaving the $67 million owed. Unfortunately, If the $67 comes back, $66 it goes to LSRH before dissolution, because 3 million shares times $22 comes to $66 million.
There just isn't enough wiggle for a big bonus, but there was $18 million more in BV showing in LSRH before the deal, and that could end up coming back to Trenwick. 50 cents a share.
So what does the $35 million book value of La Salle mean if they were owed $87 million by Trenwick, but LSUK owed $67 million to Trenwick?
I think that means that $20 million difference is part of the BV. How did they get $38 million? Isn't that $18 million more than the difference? Does that mean that LSUK can pay $67 million owed to Trenwick, and that the $20 million already passed through for the convenience of the preferred holders?
I will take the distro from LSH and maybe buy. I don't have a load of cash and I am waiting on some other plays. GWOW asks for less than ten cents in the US and bids 18 cents canadian as GWI.TO, as far as I know.
Just the same, the net-net value is right about 12.5 cents (not sure C$ or $) and they are losing money fast. Not a real solid play, but if some MM picks up the info and has shares of both? Buy American, sell canadian. Same stock, money in the bank.
They have filed everything by 8k until now. Must be "yesterday's news." Perhaps another person who still thinks of today as 2008?
I would certainly love to see it since I took a position in LSRAF last week.
It sure is a lot easier than picking stocks.
It would probably be a good idea to get a glove for one hand. The most common transmission method of a cold is shaking hands.
Nose to Hand,Hand to hand, then hand to nose or tearwell for those who would be offended if I even suggested that they ever pick their nose.
He seems to be able to push the pain envelope. I don't know who did it, but I took over the bid on one stock, sat there all day, and he crossed at my price and quantity a few seconds after the market went from regular to AH trading.
You know what AH stands for? A-hole other trading structure.
You don't think I am a bit angry with the MM's too?
I have been trying to buy since yesterday. Where the heck is Freddy Fatfinger when you need him?
I think Nite jumped to .011 after I put one above him. I offered him a fair cut on a small quantity, and he said "no way" I will pay more, apparently. Either that or someone else saw it and jumped ahead of me.
I wonder if he knows what an AH he is?
I have been keeping my eye on it. My own business model is relevent to theirs. I am just not comfortable with the price to available cash ratio. I analyse fundamentals as well as Technicals. Fundamentals keep you out of the T/A traps. In a bear market, there are lots of traps.
I hate to be the one to break it to you, but that PR from ORRV seems to spell something very familiar to my Pink Sheet experience.
D-I-L-U-T-I-O-N.
Call the transfer agent any time the Volume increases at a higher price.
Look out for those series A and series F preferreds. No wonder it is cheap. I hope you are flipping, not "investing."
Check out GWOW, if you don't own it already. It should trade the same as GWI.TO. As far as I can tell, it is the same company. The GWOW shares are tradable in the US, but the GWI.TO shares are not.
It is billed as "Green Technology," but it is really metalworking like the BK Monarch Machine Tool that spawned it in the nineties. They have been in business since 1909. they must have actually moved to Canada during the Bush presidency, as so many said they would but never did.
Maybe down again?
FOK me. (fill or kill in manual mode)
I UT coming up. I give 2 minutes warning.
Sounds like another long term play with short term accumulation objectives. I wish I had your screener. Are you sure the assets are tangible? I checked ABLE last night, and all of the assets are "goodwill."
Are you sure they are denominated in a valid currency. The "F" means foriegn, and that $8 billion could be two cents American.
Short against the box is not a long position. Nor is purchasing shares against a box of shorts.
1000 shares at .0025. Another big investor is going to save himself some tax liabilities.
So what if Obama raises capital gains tax? There aren't any capital gains in this market!!!
It is a speculative position until news hits the wire. I think the best way to get info before the new wire is to investigate what is happening to the properties in the Real Estate Markets from coast to coast. Otherwise, you just have to buy a ticket and hold on for the ride.
Any news, or is this just a trading dip?
No, but I know the Secretary of the Seer. The SS knows what all of the Whales are doing.
GWI.TO is still .18 x .20 Cdn.
