That's because CSP don't take no crap haha.. plus nobody gets away with posting some garbage stock without a flury of "that is a POS" posts.
Very few people who visit Ihub are experienced investors. That is why, with the help of promoters, so many garbage stocks are pumped on other boards (which are not allowed here). Most the ones discussed here are $1+, which is not attractive to the majority of the sub penny crap most talk about on Ihub.
SIAF: Nah. Volcano Gold, Inc., it was one of the first Reg A offering in 1975 that went public. Was traded on the Spokane OTC before going dormant in the early 80's. Belmont Partners facilitated the deal. There is an old CNBC interview with Joe Muese that spotlighted the R/M.
http://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/read_msg.aspx?message_id=37802343&txt2find=cnbc
SIAF - in conversations with the CEO, he has started putting out more press to do just that ahead of filing in March 2010 so he can get more people reviewing the filings when they come out.
He will have 4 years of back audited financials for review and be able to show some amazing growth.. should be a huge hit once it gets quoted on the OTCBB... then shortly after NASDAQ.
I'm just patiently waiting.. I'll cash out on the NASDAQ up listing at $4+ lol.
SIAF - looks like the sellers have all but evaporated under $.79 finally. Two on the bid at $.74 and not a single bidwack in the past 2 trading sessions.
Having been in this stock for 9 months, considering the small float and watching how it trades, this is most likely the bottom before the next volume surge.
Earnings should be out tomorrow and I'm expecting $.02 - $.03 EPS as well as strong growth in its margins now that many of the start-up projects are producing revenue, especially the HU plantation.
I also predict book to be above $1 now based on completed construction projects etc. Guidance was $.13 EPS for 2009.
I'm hoping to see a little pop on 3Q earnings.
SIAF - They are currently non-reporting but..
They completed 2006-2007 PCAOB audits required to uplist, which are extremely informative as they break down the acquisitions and capital formation.
http://www.pinksheets.com/otciq/ajax/showFinancialReportById.pdf?id=22945
They didn't get the report done in time to audit 2008 so they could file in 2009. They have decided to wait and conduct 2008-2009 audits in tandem, then file in March 2010. It is cheaper to conduct the two audits at the same time as opposed to conducting separate annual audits back to back.
They hired a well known attorney to assist them..
http://www.marketwire.com/press-release/Sino-Agro-Food-Inc-1004633.html
I'm expecting earnings out tomorrow.
The remaining reports can be found here..
http://www.pinksheets.com/pink/quote/quote.jsp?symbol=siaf#getFilings
boardmarks going up again.. crap, guess I'm not going to get anymore on the bid under $.75.
Gotta wait for the next pop and volume I guess.
SIAF - Something folks don't know about SIAF, most of the major dairy producers in China DO NOT have their own milking farms. That was why the tainted milk scandal was so wide spread. The largest dairy's in China actually buy their milk from local farmers. SIAF dairy sales are mostly bulk to these larger companies. They have however started taking steps to offer their own retail products.
They have a long ways to go before they can directly compete with the larger dairy's.. but since they operate their own milking farms and processing plants, they can control their quality better. They are one of the only dairy's operating in China with a 100% pure organic certification from the Government.
SIAF, second to last PR stated 3Q was delayed.
Due to a very hectic construction schedule, management advises shareholders that 3rd Quarter financial results to be announced by October 31st, may be delayed until November 6th to insure an accurate review.
http://finance.yahoo.com/news/Sino-Agro-Food-Inc-Announces-bw-1078481211.html?x=0&.v=1
I know they have been pushing the JV hard and management hasn't had as much time to consolidate the financials. They have a number of subsidiaries, some of which are slower in their reporting.
I'm looking for about $.03 EPS for 3Q. Guidance was $.13 EPS for fiscal 2009.
Well.. I like my sand box to be free of kitty poo.. so good riddance lol.
I think the number of extremely undervalued China stocks has pretty much evaporated. There are very few if any under a 5 P/E anymore. Most have had some recovery, still undervalued, but the huge market discounts of the summer are mostly gone.
I still believe long term there are a number of great plays still to be had. But yes, I do believe a more broader correction is taking place. That is one reason you haven't seen me around much. I took some off the table during the China rally this summer and I'm on the sidelines now waiting for a bottom on many to re-enter.
Timing is everything as you say. For those that came in on the broader rally, my only advice is to cost average during the correction. A good rule is to never go "all in", always save some for corrections.
I do feel we are at a bottom for this most recent pull back but we will probably continue to consolidate for the rest of the year as the overall rally is running out of steam.
Probably just depends on when you bought.
A large number of the posters here who have been around since I originally created the board, started buying most of the stocks mentioned back months ago.
To give some perspective, this was posted back in April.
http://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/read_msg.aspx?Message_id=37091184&txt2find=watch
58 Boardmarks now.. I figure we need to shed about 3 more, maybe 20K worth of shares :)
guidance is $.13 EPS for 2009 and should probably come close to doubling by 2010. Book is around $1.. I'll let you decide what multiple you like.
I would venture to say the reason the stock had so much volume earlier this year was because I was buying most the float.
As far as recent volume, I believe it was the JV/Gov PR that sparked the recent interest. My math puts available float around 350,000 - 400,000 shares.
If the lack of liquidity bothers you I would recommend probably passing on this stock.
I love low floats, penny trader emotion is always predictable.
Low float stocks act like that. One big buyer, or one big seller can completely impact the chart and thus the emotion of those who hold the stock.
Low floats usually have limited liquidity due to the unavailability of shares. When demand is high, low floats can move very quickly. The same is true when trying to sell too however. Because of the limited liquidity, very few "traders" take interest in a low float which translates into weak bid support. Once momentum slacks off in a low float you can expect a substantial pull back on very small volume.
Then you get the inexperienced trader/investor who buys a low float but doesn't understand these dynamics. The lack of volume and volatile nature of a low float causes inexperienced folks emotions to go up and down like a roller coaster. They tend to act like excited lemmings. They are either chasing the ask when demand is high, or chasing the bid down when there is no bid support.
Bottom line, you have to know what you are doing when you purchase a stock with a low float, take into consideration that lack of inexperienced people who may purcahse a low float, and above all.. have lots of patience.
I love low float stocks, because I know the nature of people who trade these penny stocks. Knowing the emotional actions of these individuals is the basis of how one formulates a strategy of trading a low floater.
The lingering effects of the stimulus will be felt for some time I believe. The one company that I am very familiar with, SIAF, has practically had the government all but fund or support most of their start-up operations in order to bring jobs to the rural areas in which it operates.
I think there will be many success stories coming out of the stimulus. However I do believe we will see more modest growth of these companies once the stimulus efforts subside.
My Ag babies getting clubbed to death
FEED down 10%
SIAF down 17%
CNOA down 13%
Was their some drought reported in China or something? God lord.
China indexes look to be bottoming. We will need confirmation, but I expect to see the indexes turn this week.
A good strategy I have been using is to follow the indexes. I trade China Small Caps while the indexes show a rally and then discontinue trading once the trend is broken and they begin to pull back. It has worked well for me so far. Right now I'm looking at oversold china issues.
haha.. okay.. keep bidding maybe you'll get lucky. I sell on the ask when I do sell anyway. I've got patience.. lots of it.
If you look at the total volume sold under $.87 which was our 50day support, it really isn't much.
I know a good portion of the trades were mirrored, so actual volume is less than about 15,000 shares under support.
The draw back to a low float is limited liquidity, which causes many traders who have a short term strategy to panic and hit the bids.
A low float however will normally maintain most of its gains once the short term crowd exits and moves quite easily with demand.
This ain't the "longs", this the folks jumped in at $.65+ on Joetengs pump (hehe)
The longs that do sell, have been around long enough now to know to sell into the rally's...
Because with every rally we pick up a fresh batch of penny mentality bozo's who chase momentum up.. then sell for small gain, or loss chasing the bid down.
Low floaters are so much fun when the market is so full of people who don't know how to trade them ;)
The other gauge is member marks.. we need to drop a few more before the noobs that got in at $.65+ exit
almost like clock work huh ;)
Chart looks good to me. The weighted averages continue to climb. Showing a little consolidation. The large volume should have turned over most the float that was available.
All I can say is don't let some of the longs around here shake you out ;) Trading a low float stock takes a little different approach than a more liquid one.
Just because someone mods a board on Ihub doesn't make them worthy, nor experienced enough to do so.
Why are you relying on the "mods" to do anything? There is only one person responsible for conducting due diligence and that is the person spending the money..

GZGT roflmao... what a turd
haha..
haven't paid attention to it in some time. Moved everything from DPDW into SIAF earlier this year.
GZGT is a POS, not the quality stock for this board. Please no more posts about this POS.
SIAF seems to be finding support at the 50MA. Expecting 3rd Quarter earnings out next week.
Oh lord no, look at that chart.. that is a turd. The chart even resembles one when getting flushed down the toilet.
Fair warning, this board is full of folks who are extremely sophisticated investors.. that kind of crap is for the Ihub pump crowd.
yeah it moves in spurts as can be seen by the chart. That is one of the drawbacks of a low float stock. It will move up quick when demand is there. But the lack of shares causes the price to move to far, to fast, causing these low volume pull backs. On the bright side however, with every spurt, we base higher.
You get your fill? I noticed the person on the ask at $.90 got impatient and hit the bid lol. Now the ask is $.95. I bet there is just a few left at $.95 at best and we will be back in the $1 range soon enough.
I am constantly amazed at the lack of patience. It is the #1 reason some folks never do well in the small caps.
The cleanest one I have ever seen was Micro Mammoth Solutions. Ironically, some of the people involved in the filing are currently under investigation by the SEC.
http://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/board.aspx?board_id=16132
Obviously a man is innocent until proven guilty, but one thing I learned being a stock promoter.. it is the crooks that know the most about the SEC regs and how to use them. It is my opinion that this company was created for the sole purpose of manufacturing a shell to later be used in a R/M. It is far more profitable for a consultant to talk a company into doing a R/M than it is going public direct. That is why very few Companies ever find out about it. Greed on Wall Street trumps all.
It clearly shows how easy and simple a "selling stockholders" filing can be done and the speed in which it can be completed. Keep in mind this is the older format, a Form SB-2, however it is pretty much the same as the Form S-1 now used.
To give some perspective, the company completed the private offering on 6/20/2007.
http://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/1404526/999999999707030205/9999999997-07-030205-index.htm
In less than a month they filed their Registration statement on 7/17/2007

The SEC cleared the filing in less than a month on 8/8/2007
http://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/1404526/999999999507003190/9999999995-07-003190-index.htm
It begin trading shortly after. Quick, simple and cheap. This particular issue probably cost less than $20K total to get public.
It wouldn't be an IPO. IPO's require underwriters and a lot more structuring. These are called DPO's "Direct Public Offerings" and do not require an underwriter as the company itself markets the securities without a broker (sometimes a broker is used). A company can also register private placement shares in what is known as a "selling stockholders" offering.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Direct_public_offering
Example 1 "Direct Public Offering"
China ACME wants to go public in the U.S. If they wish to be a U.S. Company, they will need to incorporate in the U.S. That can be done by simply Incorporating a new business entity in the States. The U.S. company would then acquire the China company. Initial equity ownerhip would be distributed.
Then the newly formed entity would undergo an audit by a PCAOB registered firm. The company would also need to prepare a Form S-1 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Form_S-1
On the Form S-1 the Company would then seek to register shares from treasury in order to raise money. Once the SEC has deemed the filing effective, the Company can then begin to market it's shares through various marketing efforts.
During this period the Company would request a ticker symbol from FINRA. Once the offering closed, the Company would then locate a market maker to sponsor them for a quote on the OTCBB.
Example 2 "Selling Stockholders" offering
Instead of attempting to sell its securities directly to the public, the Company would conduct a Regulation D private offering exempt from registration.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Regulation_D
The Company could also use Regulation S which is an offering to Foreign investors.
Once the Company had completed it's unregistered, exempt offering, it would then use Form S-1 to register the shares sold to private investors. This would allow the private placement investors the ability to sell their shares. The process to obtain a ticker and become quoted would be the same in either case.
2007 I wrote off $26K in losses (I was still playing with subies). 2008 I really didn't trade stocks much, I was doing stock promotion and didn't trade my income (I was paid in cash). When the market crashed in late 2008 I quit doing promotion and went back to work as a project manager until the market bottomed. This year however, I'll just say I am up a mind boggling amount.
Blast from the past...
