I hope so...
Yes, it's been VERY slow all morning. And twice I've had a grey screen that tells me the server can't be found. If I backspace and try again, it works.
Money isn't. That is up to the bankers. I usually have no cash. I used to get $5 when I wanted to buy a lottery ticket, but now you can buy them with a debit card, so...
Yes. That is what it is.
LOLOLOL!! Did he charge up San Juan Hill with Teddy Roosevelt?
He apparently does. He calls it "The Weave". It seems he's faintly aware that his incoherence is not doing him any good, and must somehow be cast in a different light.
I'd say if you drop your kid off at school as a boy, and he comes home as a girl, you should count your blessings. She'll probably be better about cleaning her room and helping around the house.
Not to deal in stereotypes, of course.
That, I suppose, is the nature of family stories. And the older people get, the less reliable their memories become, even for people who have good recall. Apart from that, different people may remember the same event quite differently.
As I said the dinner is to raise money for Catholic Charities. It's not meant as a campaign event!
Except that it takes place right before the election.
I believe the only people who receive a formal invite are those that sit on the dais.
There's limited space, obviously. I should think they invite people who've contributed generously to their charities in the past.
Yes indeed, the memes are on the way. I hate to think...
Thanks for making it pretty clear that you are good at repeating the official talking points of the Democrat party --but not good at reading facts and ignoring them because you do not want to think.
While you cannot repeat even the most central claims of either party. You just make most of it up. As to the border bill, I was going on what Lankford himself said. And it's fact that Trump told Republican congressmen to vote against the border bill.
People hate getting old, and with reason. But once they get REALLY old, there's some compensation, usually in the form of bragging rights. A lot of those ancient Japanese people are from Okinawa, where everyone's said to be incredibly healthy. But any who'd be around 110 would have been born around 2012-2014. My parents' age. My parents had birth certificates, but was that the case with rural Japanese people at that time?
When I was working in the state archive in Milan, the death registers existed in large part to track cases of plague, but the doctors who compiled them visited the families of the recently deceased, and examined the dead people themselves to try to determine the cause of death. They did a fairly good job.
But who told them how old the people were? Presumably family members. There are a suspiciously high number of people said to have been older than 90. Probably they were old, for their time. After all, the potential human life span hasn't changed much; only medical practice has. But normally old would have been 70s or 80s. I always thought the families were embroidering...
Exactly. But he'd always leave Trumpty feeling a little uncertain about Pooty's True Feelings. That would make him anxious, and always eager to do more.
You were probably a cutie.
And now here's more Important Thought from Dear Leader:
BREAKING: In a senile moment, Donald Trump is talking about energy, donuts and stoves. Donald Trump can’t hold a single coherent thought. pic.twitter.com/oLpodfzr8y

lol, you must have been an annoying kid...
Good article.
Well you see, you're not well-educated, and so not in a position to make judgment calls.
It won't be long, but the mets just got another run. 10-5 now. But the Dodgers only need one more out. I don't see how they can fail to get it.
Wisdom comes with age. And as I said, I'm very well-educated.
So how did fatass serve at the window? "One for me,,,munch munch... one for youuuu"
Probably the bags didn't have any food in them, since he didn't really cook anything.
I think it's likely to be entirely true.
Make that 10-4.
He wasn't from New York, but he became a great New Yorker.
Ah shit. I think that's it.
Make that "I'm sure that's it."
if Russia is do far up then why’d they wait until Joe was in office to attack another country? Hmmm genius
Probably Putin thought Trump was sure to win, and would give him an easy win by withdrawing from NATO.
No it won't. He looks like an asshole. And he needs a hairnet.
Well... I think by now they're too far behind. But as Yogi would say, "It ain't over till it's over"...
Yeah. They don't have much time left...
Even cars practicing going through the drive-through? Unreal!
lol, and he complains because 60 Minutes edited an interview. Something they always do.
Yes, I am old. You didn't know that? I'm also very well educated and well traveled.
The first president of my lifetime was Harry Truman. I've seen the good and the bad. Even Nixon wasn't all bad, unlike Trump. He was at least not treasonous. Hey, Ike was a good president. And he wasn't a Dem. But were he to come back, you'd probably think he was a "leftist". Maybe even a socialist. But whatever his own political philosophy, I think on the subject of Trump, he'd be standing with Milley, Mattis, McChrystal, Esper, and other retired military who are extremely disturbed by the prospect of seeing Trump take power again.
Donald Trump is the absolute worst, and as I'm sure you know, most historians agree on that point. And as for what would be good for you and your generation, whatever it may be, it is not Trump's insane plans for hitting every imported product that enters this country with enormous tariffs. You and everyone else who's not one of the superrich would be beggared. I suggest you read up on the Smoot-Hawley Act, among many other things.
And I'm afraid that there should not be multiple "viewpoints" on the wisdom of electing a person suffering from dementia to the Oval Office. Before you bring up Biden, he was fine four years ago. I don't think he's losing his marbles--he isn't about to start telling dirty jokes on live TV, nor will he suddenly decide to have "a music", and stand onstage swaying for 40 minutes--but I was relieved when he announced he was ending his campaign and his candidacy.
LOLOLOL!!
How come a Met fan??
I started following them in their first season, which was in 1962. They were absolutely terrible, which was one of the reasons people love them. And hey! Their manager was Casey Stengel, who once said, "Can't anybody here play this game?" And I'm sure not many here remember Marvelous Marv Throneberry...
And then in 1964, they hired Yogi Berra as a coach. Sublime!! In 1966, they picked up Tom Seaver, and thereafter added more very good pitchers. That changed everything, and gave us the Miracle Mets of 1969. It was an incredible Series. I was in my last year of college; the Series was such a big deal that they cancelled classes for the last few games.
It's mind boggling how some people think.
It most certainly is. People suffering from advanced dementia are unsuitable candidates for the presidency. Sane people realize that.
I am NOT enjoying it.
This is a stinky game.
Jesus. Not a good night for the Mets... THROW DA BUMS OUT!!
Sounds as if it was good...
Well.. usually penny promotes are only entirely positive, so...
Ohhh, it IS the Mets game!!
Watching now!
