He is not losing money. He is getting extra shares in case pps declines. Read his employment agreement, it's published in last year's 20-f. This happens because according to the agreement, the product of his shares with the pps must equal his 1,5 mil. salary. Just read it, download the .pdf file
RCautk has he told anything on fundamentals of the company? Cash, nbv of nikiforis, ebitda etc?
He knows these numbers so he could quote them as unaudited and share with us.

As I had guessed and posted before just by reading the 2016 20-F there is no need to file 13G/D or other forms as os are proved to be far more higher than 3.1 mil (kmm er111a)

His compensation is described in Clause 4 and it includes a clause protecting Bertsos from the fall in the pps, with the issuance of additional shares whenever this is the case,

It has 477 pages. You can save the .pdf file, open it and go to page 129 of 477. Read from p.129 to p. 131, and you have a complete description on who owns the vessel.
As regards the number of shares owned by Bertsos, from the same document, just go to page 88 of 477, and there you have it. It's (pre rs) 31,850,000,000 or 6,370,000 post rs.
It's all in the filings, people should read carefully,

On the top of p.3 it says "There were 2,000,000,000 and 15,309,713,626 of the registrant’s common stock outstanding as of December 31, 2016 and May 15, 2017, respectively."
They will be the os as of the date of the filing, nit the period concerned. SEC requirement. This is also the case with their last 20-F. It was filed on May 15, for the period to 12/31 and at the first page or so, the number of os as of Mag 20 is mentionned.
As I say, we all need to read the 20-F, there's a lot of info there
