No doubt in my mind whoever is involved with IVAS has known about this delay for a while now. Listen to the CEO of Intevac on their last CC a couple of months ago!!
IF VirTra is involved with IVAS / SIVT connect the dots to when their new facility is expected to open.
Maybe? Maybe not?
The US Army has postponed plans to field Microsoft's HoloLens 2 augmented reality (AR) system to soldiers while it ‘matures' the technology, the service has confirmed.
Janes first reported that the Assistant Secretary of the Army for Acquisition, Logistics, and Technology's (ASAALT's) office paused the Integrated Visual Augmentation System (IVAS) programme while it worked to refine its timeline. While the army has not responded to Janes questions about what prompted this decision, it has confirmed that operational testing that had been slated to occur in July of this year had been bumped to May 2022 “in order to further mature technologies”.
If the army's revamped timeline proceeds as planned and ASAALT approves IVAS fielding, the service anticipates reaching the first unit equipped date in September 2022.
“The army conducted an adversarial electronic warfare and cybersecurity test in September 2021,” the army wrote in a 14 October statement. “This decision allows the army and industry team to continue to enhance the IVAS technology platform ensuring soldiers achieve overmatch in multi-domain operations. The army looks forward to continuing its partnership with Microsoft in developing and fielding this revolutionary first-of-its-kind technology.”
The decision to postpone IVAS fielding comes just months after the army announced it was moving forward with the system and would transition it from a rapid prototyping effort into a production and rapid fielding project. As such, it awarded Microsoft a production contract valued at up to USD21.9 billion over 10 years.
IVAS is not dead. The Army decided to shift the IVAS operational test and fielding date later in FY22
Two types of recoil kits for AR-1, M16; standard approx $3,000 or advanced approx $7,400 each comes with one magazine....$500 for each additional mag.
Advanced magazines approx $2000 each.
Add in charging stations, lasers ect.
This could add up to a shitload Minus discounts
And I agree why would he be answering questions regarding a program they don't support or know about....He sounds like he knows enough to support our STE/IVAS Theories
No Problemo'
Good video posted about a site visit that’s worth watching.
"In this iteration, soldiers would be able to go outdoors and fire simulated weapons at simulated enemies hidden among real-world trees and buildings."
https://www.defensenews.com/training-sim/2021/09/30/us-army-makes-headway-on-synthetic-training-environment/
I don't know other than the reason it says below
1. Purpose:
The Government is seeking to refine and clarify the Synthetic Training
Environment (STE), Soldier Virtual Trainer (SVT) requirements for Weapons Skills Development (WSD) and Use of Force (UoF) capabilities based on received Industry input from the prior SVT RFI released on 05 August 2021. This RFI will focus on the Instrumented (Drop-In Kit) technology’s viability, feasibility, technical maturity, and risks or challenges utilizing Soldier’s organic or assigned weapons for current/next
generation weapon systems identified in this RFI.
Virtras recoil kit intellectual property closely mirror the RFI
Not sure what RFI your talking about but i'll speculate with the S/SVT weapons optimization request and awarded to Meggit and Cubic back in 2019. Now if I remember correctly that was for a simulated (fake weapon) prototype design and not an organic weapon. one of two things probably happened; they didn't like the prototype or they changed the program requirement from a simulated(fake) weapon to an organic weapon for better training purposes. To be clear the SVT is different from IVAS-SIVT.
Let's Play Ball!!

VirTra Scales Manufacturing Capabilities with Purchase of Industrial Building in Chandler, Arizona
Source: GlobeNewswire Inc.
VirTra, Inc. (NASDAQ: VTSI) (“VirTra”), a global provider of training simulators for the law enforcement, military, educational and commercial markets, has acquired a property in Chandler, Arizona that consists of approximately 4.3 acres and an industrial building with approximately 76,650 square feet. VirTra acquired the property for $10.8 million, with $8.6 million being financed through a mortgage loan and the remainder being paid in cash.
The property gives VirTra a larger and more centralized facility to meet the anticipated growth in training simulator development and production, recoil kit development and production, training content creation and administrative functions. VirTra also expects the new building will provide greater operational efficiencies than its existing two leased locations in Tempe, Arizona with approximately 42,860 square feet in aggregate. VirTra plans to fully move into the new space within nine months or less and plans to sub-lease its current leased spaces once it has moved out.
“As demand for VirTra’s world-class training simulators in the law enforcement and military markets grows, it is critical that we scale our manufacturing and production capacity to meet not only the burgeoning demand today but the potential growth in the future as well,” said Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Bob Ferris. “This will be a state-of-the-art headquarters where we push the envelope of effective simulation training products for the benefit of our customers and stakeholders. The property will also allow us to centralize our operations and ultimately provide greater efficiencies across our entire organization.”
Additional details regarding the transaction are available in the company’s current report on Form 8-K, which has been filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
“Additionally, while a maximum net profit per year has been set for allocation of the available shares at this time, it is very possible that the Company will exceed these levels during the next 3 years and if such performance occurs, the Compensation Committee will meet to determine if additional compensation is in the best interests of the Company at that time.”
Axon’s CEO arranged something similar a few years ago when the share price was around $20….it’s gone up 10x since the.

Excellent
And this
“But I can confirm that we've made very real progress in the military market. In fact, the fruits of that labor have started to show up in our backlog in a material way.”
Intervac on Monday released their 10q. They stated besides getting over 30 mil in development projects they did not get a production order for the first batch of IVAS which went to another vendor. They said they believe it was for 5k units. They also said since the orders were for initial low volume they weren’t committing to setting up production lines but could get orders in the future 2022 when production ramps up.
My guesstimate is in the range of 5.5-6 mil.
Approx 3 mil coming from federal and 2.5-3 in municipalities and private training facilities. Based on the last CC I’m interested where backlog comes in.
no
To add some clarity on the sensitivity of the IVAS program.....a known supplier of IVAS on 5/3/21 from their last CC.
they spoke in length discussing the IVAS Program, their expectations on the size and scope of the Project and a warning that after recent information provided there will be minimal info going forward because of the sensitivity and disclosure restrictions in the supply chain.

Well done sharpcity. Glad to see you and others are seeing what I have been seeing for the last 3 years. Couple more dots to connect.
VIRTRA bod member John Givens company Bohemia simulations is creating One World Terrain (OWT) for the Synthetic training environment and IVAS.
Former bod member Mitchell Salts who passed last year was the chairman and CEO of Smith and Wesson….who would be better to consult in the design of recoil kits for organic weapons.
