F is the type of stock you wanted to be in for 2012 overall. they are running on all cylinders, and cells. I think its unstoppable for a while.
it may consolidate around 52 week high, but the retrace from when it was here last time took longer than anticipated, but I think its headed to high teens.
SCTY, they are up 5% today. solid performance along with dow.
maybe SCTY, it filled the gap, but still may drop to the 10.5 level. its not a long term stock, no one has a handle on its future value and the market depends on government grants and loans. FSLR may be what is driving that sector, but they have doubled in just 4 months.
interesting comment, especially now that its up another 5% today. I realize AONE has beat the heck out people for sure, but there are good companies who actually try to run a company and uphold fudiciary responsibility. Elon is a stand up guy, IMO, but only time will tell since it is so new.
now i know why SCTY didnt make your list.

market today would have been a little different if they were expecting a better economy, considering the upside.

my guess, a good inventory is a good part of inflationary pressure relief.

I really see little other than falling off the cliff, that will prevent a mother of a market rally within 6 months.
they are doing well, but, got burned by a coupon company years ago, I am gun shy with them. i know thats just me, but I got bit hard. although i do believe it was the success of companies like groupon that were smart and got the business that company could not.
CSCO has been pulling the NAZ up, wait until corp spending in the new year starts. market melt up I think!
that is after they fix or fall off the cliff and thus some delay.
up 38c in just a few days. Its strong, and spring is just around the corner right?
SCTY is a new IPO, lets see how it makes out. it appears to have big backers including Elon Musk, and a good sized backlog of work.
I believe there are multiple efforts for UAV use in africa, and not that many with the capabilities Argus and BIB offer. price/performance appears to be one of the best. others are interested as shown below.

actually I posted here in order to add insight to the situation. I saw some possible plus for owning, but that was a while ago. insiders were all selling, and it was a big sign in my mind, next came the going concern statement, then chap.11. If any of the companies bidding or officers of the company involved, were interested in shareholders, they would have done something a lot sooner and before chap.11. I added good advice, this board was full of pumpers or bashers and a few like me. If you have a problem with the results you should listen to unbias counsel next time.
when I got crapped on, or ignored, I knew with impunity this day was coming. It was full of a lot of people who were stuck and were making the best of it or hoping someone would float the price for them. I dont want to buy and I hope you get out soon, or else you may end up blaming everyone but yourself if it goes down.
Indeed Lui, you know your stuff.
Nope, the basics say, current shareholders have nothing to do with the current company, they are shadow shares that potentially follow business activity, unless it changes due to agreement in chap.11 settlement.
potential events are as follows, transition to chapter 7 liquidation, and/or former shareholders are given warrants for stock, which is rare and can certainly happen here as I expect. this is all up to value of company assets and what the court decides. this is the most unusual case I know about, and anything can happen, but current shareholders have no assurance of anything and its a big risk. just the facts, I like the shares, but everyone should be aware of the risks and aviod the pumps.
any payout to shareholders will be for anyone who owned before BK, shareholder value after BK is what the price is when you sell.
there has never been an equity settlement for any shares bought after filing for any company that I know of. maybe I missed something here, dont follow it that close.
actually I think Peterson is bias on many articles he writes. as far as this company, they have very large losses every quarter, spending appears to be out of control to the point of chapter 11. going forward, there is optimism in what is happening, the technology they posess is very important to the current battery marketplace, although its expensive, and will be there when nano flow electrolyte material becomes reality.
I can envision a battery vehicle, where you go to a gas station type stop, and you pump spent electrolyte out of your vehicle.
still dont know what will happen to shareholders in the current situation, I read a lot of opinions, am not convinced of any fixed value if any yet.
well behaved stock, may see 24 range again, but then again...
thanks lui, I like it, especially with zynga starting to make it on their own.

I cant argue with you, seen enough to agree.
anyone for GMCR
wow, they got something alot of people like, Parkinsons trials are the latest, and what a run. anyone have any idea on where it may peak if that is even possible at this point?
maybe, I think its ready to bust up a ways, before or after any recoil.
this could be a decent place to be next year!
sounds like A123 and Valence technology are using the same techniques to dump shareholders maybe? attention lawyers if they dont already see this.
Indy, indeed, I have a problem focusing on more than one thing anyhow, I do look at one thing at a time and KISS it in my mind, otherwise it makes it worse for me in the end.
I agree, they have more than one thing going yet know where to focus. they appear to have the wisdom of good entrepreneur's, if so, this company will be good, maybe very good.
agreed, companies feed off of contentment and seemingly reverse investing.
"Enough of averaging down ;) LOL! Who wants to go down to 1/2 a cent?"
I see it the same way, its an interesting board. but in the end it about investing wisely.
"Thanks to all folks, really enjoying the postings these days."
I see much promise here, even though it could be a while for growth in a fashion that many would like to see, they have good focus, direction, and new partners.
CSCO will give the market a huge shot in the arm tomorrow, after a down day today it even helps more. Unless there is something that overshadows this very good report for the industry.
solid opinions and good advice, no one really knows if shareholders get anything, but there is the possibility, the next owner/owners could keep shares going or an equity committee could get some results.
does Wanxiang have any publically traded companies in its stable, might be worth looking into. I for one agree, this is not place for the fearful or anyone who wants to put hard earned money to work, its a total gamble for anyone new, and if you own it just hang on to it for now.
wonderful, more than I thought are looking for assets. but I am still not sure about shareholders, they have no claim to assets until after all others they are in debted to get theirs. by the time this whole thing clears up, those supporting the following losses every three months will have the rights to the assets, correct, what will be left for shareholders?

I realize they have cash left, but not for long, and that cash was because of shares getting sold to current shareholders. no justice for them but maybe some equity value later.
is there any links that someone can share that forecasts or estimates how shareholders or plain common stocks may look in the future?
how will this affect shareholders, in the current situation, and any thoughts on shareholders interests after chap11?
thats conservative but an easy number. this is the best car company, and one of the most stable public companies, you can buy.
Im surprised its not up to 12 by now, considering I think its worth 19.
interesting, isnt 65000 the altitude that wsgi is shooting for? stratosphere anyhow right?
well spoken, you can never go wrong for helping someone with the right motives, those you help will always be thankful no matter what the motives.
and you are right on when you state no matter what you do someone will find fault, its one of the reasons there are so many dysfunctional people today, it was done to them and they continue on to others, sometimes up to 4 generations these things can be passed on.
sins of the forefathers, such as before 1861, can be passed on for up to 4 generations, which this nation is about to come out of, if it makes it.
Glenn did a good thing, and as a shareholder, it shows he has the right motivation as a person and officer of the company. two rights dont make a wrong.
I dont know about any news, but there is a lot going on here. my concern is the short position is almost 20m again, and only about 500k available to short. there is downward pressure, but good news could easily change that. I dont know what good news there could be for shareholders in this situation, but company activity affects price, that is a fact until it dont.
looks like some oil companies are looking for a naturala gas stake.
although the big ones are down because of it.

your right, and it scared me. im sure a 40% selloff is not attractive to many watching this company.
Its gonna be wet and messy in lower manhatten for at least a day, if it lands with high tide, they will be swimming with the rats until the MTA and city sqeegee's and pumps it all out. knowing what I know about the MTA and city employees, it will take 2 times as long as anywhere else in this country. they are union and get OT pay, sorry to say I have lived there and did not feel comfortable with any services they provided. its not a city of love IMO, but then again it makes for a great place to find lost souls who are tired of that worlds greed, and getting stepped on, and want comfort and a light at the end of the tunnel.
"We support the consensus of the markets and the regulatory community that the dangerous conditions developing as a result of Hurricane Sandy will make it extremely difficult to ensure the safety of our people and communities, and safety must be our first priority," the NYSE said in a statement. "We will work with the industry to determine the next steps in restoring trading as soon as the situation permits."
