unlikely.
alrick - you're losing it. If you really own 2 million shares I suppose it's understandable.
THEN SELL!
complete BS!
Sadly, it looks like no one is interested.
you (two or one?) sure are busy today. Must be important to you to try to encourage selling. I wonder why?
Based on what? A random neuron firing in your brain? Stockplayer's estimate in based on the prior offer, what's yours?
10B yen or about 122 million. It's not looking good here.
So why did the WSJ story suggest a $131 million dollar bid by Wanxiang? That seems ridiculous after they were willing to pay $465 million for 80% of the company.
This guy had a 3000% gain on the stock. If the same were to happen here, we'd be looking at 1.50 from the low of .05 and 2.70 from here. I'll admit, it's rare but AONEQ looks good.

I know someone with whom you should go play a game of horse. You don't mention the value of the future contracts, the patents, the federal grant, etc. This is the leading company is what is going from a 1.5 billion dollar market to 50 billion in the next few years.
Yes, it's rare for a company to emerge from chapter 11 with shareholders intact but A123 has incredible potential for that to be the case.
Also, what motivates you to post here? I own a considerable number of shares so my motive is clear, what's yours? Good Samaritan? -please.
Always the case?
Wrong in every way there buddy.
It's a game but you seem to be more comfortable with basketball, so go find a game of horse and move on.

you kind of missed that call.
If this company sells for a significant premium over debt and other obligations, the lawsuits would sink them if they tried to cancel the common shares. It's difficult to know who still holds shares, but GE had millions and Wanxiang has 170 million. Do you think both of these organizations would allow A123 to screw them over that easily?
I have to agree with Rainmaker and the Professor that this is potentially a once in a lifetime - or, at a minimum, a very rare opportunity, to acquire shares in a very real, very valuable company/technology.
I would expect it to run before court/Dec 6 as the value of the company becomes clearer and the likelihood of bids in excess of 600 million increases. Once it starts to run, it could run hard.
I would also expect some penny stock promoters to step in as well. This is 1000% better than the average penny stock.
Not really. 1.5 billion subtract debt of 400 million leaves 1.1 billion. 340 million shares outstanding and you get a little over $3 per share.
The question is will the bidding reach 1.5 billion. If so, it'll be a nice day for all of us who hold.
interesting lack of volume so far today.
This seems like a fairly good bet. Wanx valued the company at ~580 million (offer of 465M for 80%). With the DIP, debt at auction will be around 400M. 180M/340M = .53. With multiple bidders, the price is likely to exceed 580M so it looks good for 0.53 or higher imo.
Ditto.
It needs some sort of catalyst - a PR, a rumor about a high bid.
It's 2011 - nothing wrong with that. It means IHI has been involved with A123 for over a year.
I'll tell you on Monday
Not so good, eh? No credibility anyway. Better cover quickly before it hits .14
For you, yes, might as well add to your losses.
Perhaps the judge felt that some of the staff at A123 are part of the value of the company that bidders want - if you weren't in the courtroom and don't know all the facts, why assume the worst?
I like your glitch better.
.082 and rising
who are the next witnesses?
What do they gain from it? If they're selling the company to an organization that is private or has its own ticker, what's the value of keeping AONE on the NASDAQ. Seems like it would just be a meaningless distraction.
only one personality?
Homeslice - how likely do you believe it will be that the share price hits .55/share or the pre-BK offer by Wanxiang? Your earlier post suggesting that one not sell too quickly seems to indicate that you expect an offer greater than .55/share.
All that and the lemon can only sell one or two tractors a quarter. Of course, the heavy volume here with the stock certainly validates those 52 fabrications.
I'm not projecting - this stock is a POS as is the CEO!
Totally agree. Tomorrow will be a circus but by October 23, this will be at .55/share.
Read the first filing - I expect we will close at or above today's closing tomorrow. The plan was to default on the interest payment today but in the long run to honor their debts.
breaking out? it barely has a pulse - and there is news.
Just a reminder:
The A123 deal has the major ingredients for success under a Chinese owner. Chinese companies do M&A deals overseas with the domestic Chinese market in mind. They want technology they can use in China — products they can transplant back home. Lenovo’s IBM personal computer business acquisition is the best success story.

Previous information hasn't been correct so why believe information in this post

Wow again. It took little to return to the same positions as before the announcement. I wish you all the best. I'm out for now.
You and 10000 other people - fine by me. What price target are you looking at (both buy and sell)?
