EXTREME MICROCAP
Buy Mobilepro Corp. up to 20 cents
Mobilepro Corp. (OTC BB: MOBL)
Going Mobile to the Max
Dear MicroCap Investor subscribers,
Mobilepro is a full-spectrum microcap, embodying both the shiny and dark hues of a small company reaching for the sky. In more familiar terms, let's just say MOBL combines important characteristics of three other stocks in our microcap portfolio: NeoMedia (NEOM), NewMarket Technology (NMKT) and Vital Living (VTLV).
Operating at the nexus of the wireless and broadband telecom ChangeWaves,Mobilepro is strikingly similar to NeoMedia in its visionary management, its capital structure, and its potential to hit a five- or ten-bagger.
Like NewMarket's strategy for growth, Mobilepro has also focused on acquisitions (14 at last count) to grow the critical mass and build the
infrastructure for its national wireless telecommunications network.
Finally, echoing Vital Living's experiences in 2003-2004, Mobilepro recently underwent an influx of new management, directors and advisors. But there's one key difference from VTLV. MOBL's CEO has been with the company for a year and has led an impressive turnaround to position Mobilepro where it is today.
SEIZING THE OPPORTUNITY
In the new era of telecommunications services, cable, wireless, telecom
and ISP businesses are converging at a lightning pace. Notably, three major
trends have emerged on which Mobilepro has built its business strategy:
1) The movement toward broadband.
2) The movement toward wireless.
3) The movement toward IP-enabled networks -- breaking down any
distinction between voice, video and data.
In this competitive environment, bundled services have become the name of the game. As a small, undercapitalized player battling against more powerful telecom competitors, MOBL is betting on its wireless technology and network.
Because wireless is both modular and less expensive, this approach has obvious advantages over attempting to replicate big telecom's copper, the IXC's fiber (IXCs provide connections between local exchanges in different geographic areas) or the cable companies' cable.
The core of Mobilepro's strategy is twofold. First, the company is accumulating network assets which generate cash flow. Second, the company intends to become a leading provider of service -- billing, provisioning and customer support -- for the products customers desire over others' networks. Management believes this combination gives MOBL the best opportunity to survive and thrive long term.
To realize these aspirations, Mobilepro has put together an experienced management team -- as well as a solid group of directors and advisors -- who have the company running on all cylinders. We note that several of these folks joined MOBL in the past few months, so we'll need more time to assess their contributions.
At the beginning of 2004, Mobilepro was in a deep hole with zero revenue, negative book value, a stock price under 2 cents -- and a history of operational disappointments. Talk about a terrible outlook. Despite the bad situation, however, MOBL managed to regroup in a big way.
Over the past 12 months, Mobilepro has acquired 14 companies and reached a revenue run rate of $100 million with positive cash flow. This is a company with a market value under $70 million!
WEAVING THE PARTS TOGETHER
To overcome its lack of capital and resources, MOBL has successfully used its creativity to attract and retain capable and dedicated people. To build name recognition, MOBL has either acquired or aligned with established brands and/or local presence.
As such, the company's various acquisitions bring a range of complementary assets to the picture. Some notable additions include:
Davel Communications: Mobilepro's biggest acquisition to date provides cash flow and more than 40,000 access points for a nationwide wireless network. Founded in 1979, Davel is the largest independent provider of pay telephones and related services in the U.S. with operations in 45 states. Davel's customers include the shopping center, hospitality and health care industries.
CloseCall America: Provides a brand, a billing and customer support platform. Launched in 1999, CloseCall America is a full-service telecom company that provides long-distance, local, digital wireless and Internet service to residential and small business customers, primarily in Maryland, Delaware, New Jersey, Wisconsin, Indiana and Ohio.
Affinity Telecom: A socially aware and community-minded communications company providing telecom services in Michigan and northern Ohio, including local, long-distance, Internet and web hosting services. Affinity markets its products by partnering with various non-profit organizations including the American Red Cross and Special Olympics.
Several ISPs: Under the Mobilepro umbrella, the ISPs contribute local presence, cash flow, management talent and a large customer base. To get a better understanding of MOBL's business model and corporate structure, let's outline the company's three operating units:
MobilePro Technology Division: NeoReach
Branded as NeoReach, this division creates wireless technologies and applications. Mobilepro intends to leverage its expertise in wireless
technology to deliver wireless solutions for the enterprise markets. The company also has expertise in Zigbee, WiFi, Bluetooth and WiMAX.
Mobilepro's radio frequency (RF) semiconductor and other core technologies will provide the foundation to develop advanced 3G chip technology including 3G modem semiconductor chip sets for hand set telephones, pico-cell base stations, smart antenna technology and advanced RF design support. NeoReach owns five patents for its wideband-CDMA smart antenna processing technology and has additional patents in various chip modem design and Implementation areas.
MobilePro Internet Division: Nationwide
Branded as Nationwide, this division develops new Wireless Data Network Exchange Service products for wireless data applications and operational support services such as wireless network monitoring and testing. It also provides a full complement of Internet services including connectivity, hosting, VOIP and Internet security.
MobilePro Voice Division
Provides VOIP technology, wireless telecom services, local and long-distance services -- all directed to position MOBL at the vanguard of the IP revolution. These services are cross-sold to the ISP division customer base and provide the backbone for the Technology division's products and processes.
EXPANSION PLANS
At the end of 2004, CEO Jay Wright outlined his vision for Mobilepro. As you can see, the company is targeting some very heady goals two years down the road:
$500 million in revenue.
More than one million customers.
$80 million-plus in EBITDA.
A large nationwide wireless network.
A nationally known brand.
And that's only the prelude to the big picture. Wright says Mobilepro's long-term goals are even more ambitious. To fund its acquisition and
operational activities, Mobilepro has entered into a Standby Equity Distribution Agreement with investment banking firm Cornell Capital
Partners, which enables MOBL to raise additional capital whenever it's required.
If Mobilepro is able to even approach its goals within the next couple of years, then we're going to have a great ride.
BUY ACTION
We're starting Mobilepro in the Extreme Portfolio for reasons beyond its penny stock price and huge number of shares outstanding. With so many pieces of the puzzle -- companies and people -- newly added to MOBL, it's a virtual three-ring circus right now. And in 2005, we expect management will continue to face major challenges as Mobilepro grapples with inevitable growing pains.
We recommend initiating a one-third position up to 20 cents and another one-third if the stock pulls back below 16 cents. Depending on the pace of progress at MOBL, we'll be sure to alert you about any change in our buy strategy.
In the meantime, hang on to your hats -- we're going mobile!

Biometrics 2000 Corporation Announces the Release of WiFi BioTouch
http://www.spectrumresellers.com/publications/page207-1358841.asp
Biometrics 2000 Corporation announced the release of advanced functionality and flexibility to its BioTouch family of fingerprint recognition/security products. With this release, BioTouch products will provide full compatibility and support of Wireless Fidelity ("WiFi") network integration. This is another significant step as Biometrics 2000 continues to add advanced, strategic functionality to its BioTouch product line.
The company's BioTouch product line is renowned for its superior fingerprint recognition performance in applications requiring secure physical access control, as well as core business applications such as time and attendance recording. With this enhancement, Biometrics 2000 will enable its customers to combine flexibility and mobility to their security and verification systems, and to business applications. The new BioTouch functionality also enables customers to expand security and verification systems at the speed of wireless network buildout, and at much lower costs.
Joe Turek, CEO of Biometrics 2000, commented, "We realized that many of our customers need integrated security and verification solutions that can scale up rapidly to handle peak volumes. Whether you are a cruise ship operator, a hotel manager, or a corporate security director, there are times during the day and week when your security systems are stressed due to peak volumes. The BioTouch WiFi technology allows customers to scale up and down, at minimal cost, in virtually minutes." Turek added, "Our solutions are designed to handle real world requirements for our customers, using advanced technology. We introduced the BioTouch wireless biometrics reader at the recent Dallas ASIS convention to a select group of integrators. Their response was very positive."
Wireless 802.11b compatibility integrated with Biometrics 2000's BioTouch fingerprint recognition technology, delivers an effective solution -- resulting in savings on installation cost and overcoming physical limitations at any proposed site. "Wireless support in the BioTouch product line will appeal to a whole new set of customers. Today, business priorities include both wireless technology, as well as enhanced security and verification solutions. The BioTouch product family provides both, at a time when customers are planning their future." said Mike Rothelli, VP of OEM Sales.
"In addition to the integration of wireless technology, the BioTouch product line secures and protects customer's critical fingerprint and identification data. Our use of proprietary fingerprint encryption data, combined with hierarchical security layers, delivers virtually impenetrable security systems for our customers," said Robert Encarnacion, Sr. Biometrics Project Manager. Encarnacion added, "The BioTouch product line empowers our customers to customize their security and verification footprint in a dynamic, cost effective mode. Literally, as their business changes, our BioTouch solutions changes with it."
From the last PR (on December):
Mr. Joe Turek, CEO of Biometrics2000 commented, "We are committed to being a major player in the global biometric solutions market. We view our partnership with Orasis International as a strategic advantage that will help accelerate our growth. We understand that teamwork is the key to success, and we have already teamed up with Orasis to win here in the U.S. We will continue to do that, and also we will add the prospect of growth in Japan to our strategic targets."
Just check out the web:

Four new products. In a hot, emerging market. Once the Company starts selling some of these products, this is going to be a very good Company to be with, IMO. I got more shares yesterday, and today. Still planing to add some more change for more if it stays at these prices.
Mike
Yep, it's been a while. When the news hit, I trust we'll all like what we see. The company is puting together the team, and what I like most is the fact that sales people are included. To me this means Joe is expecting some increased activity. Just see the Web site, and check out all those new products. The prospects are very good, IMO.
Right now, it's a good time to accumulate. At least I'm doing it. Added more yesterday, and planning to add more.
Mike
As the Q release date is getting closser:
1. The Bid is up (@ 0.028, from 0.02)
2. Only 1 MM at 0.03 Ask. The others are at 0.05 and up.
3. Volume is up.
Good signs!
Mike
The way it went this AN, expect a nice gap tomorrow morning. It may finally decide to go into pennies, IMO. I'm holding my shares.
Mike
The Con Artists are at it again?
More than 1 year ago, the crooks had quite a few PR's stating they had worldwide rights to V-H-3. Now they claim they just got them? Be careful folks! YOU'LL LOSE YOUR MONEY, the way the ones before you (myself included) already did.
DO NOT TRUST ONE WORD these CON ARTISTS come up with, or in the near future you'll join me and others "bashing" this pseudo-company.
Take care, but before you decide to buy anything into this crap, just see how much money you would had to have three years ago (R/S adjusted) for you to end up with 0.0005 now:

I see: (i) the volume is up, and (ii) some MM's moved their Ask up. Good sign. The good news (Aurora deal) might come out soon, IMO. This, plus the Q results will move this puppy up nicely, IMO.
Mike
Around February 10, when the Q is expected to be released, this will move again, IMO. Check out the Level II. Only 2 MM's left at Ask at 0.03, the others are between 0.05 and 0.11. Also 2 MM's moved their Bid up to 0.023. I take it as a good sign. If the Q results are as good as I expect them to be, this will easily move again above 0.1, IMO.
Mike
OSEE Website:
http://www.ose.com.tw/public/en/worldwide.asp
Mike
Opinion: $0.5 to $0.6/share second part of February.
What will move it? Next Q should do it. See the last 4 Q's results:
30-Sep-04 30-Jun-04 31-Mar-04 31-Dec-03
Total Revenue 4,968 1,170 311 -
Cost of Revenue 2,167 358 117 -
Gross Profit 2,801 812 194 -
http://finance.yahoo.com/q/is?s=MOBL.OB
This is an exponential growth! And the last Q results have not been awarded as yet.
See the charts:
http://www.prophet.net/analyze/chartscope.jsp
Next Q revenue should be at least $15MM. If the next Q net income (EPS positive) is as good as I expect it to be, this, combined with an increased revenue will move it, that's for sure. This is a no brainer!
So, after February 15 (expected Q release) we shall move to the next level (0.5 to 0.6, IMO). Mark this Msg!
Mike
Thanks,
Mike
OS count, please. Anyone?

The microelectronics lifespan might come to an end much sooner than some expect. All-optical chips (up to 1 MM higher speed then their microelectronics counterparts, and low noise) will replace them. The electrical wires inside the chip will be replaced by waveguides (the electrons will be replaced by photons).
The first elements (optical switches, and optical amplifiers, and so on) of this future trend are already here. See a sample below.

By Aki Tsukioka, JCNN
1/25/2005, 14:49(JST)
Fujitsu, HHI of Germany Develop World's First Ultra High-Speed Optical Fiber Switch with Power Amplification Features
Tokyo (JCNN) - Fujitsu Laboratories and Fraunhofer Institute for Telecommunications, Heinrich-Hertz-Institut (HHI) of Germany announced January 21 the development of the world's first ultra high-speed optical fiber switch with optical amplification features using nonlinear optical effects of optical fiber, and successfully processed optical signals at 640Gbps. The new optical fiber switch features 100 times or more the amplification capability of the conventional device over a wide wavelength range, and enables switching at over 1Tbps. The partners have also succeeded in receiving 640Gbps signals as 64-channel 10Gbps signals.
The technology developed for the new fiber-optic switch will be used for future-generation high-speed optical processing technologies, such as ultra high-speed optical data transmission and optical switching, which employ ultra high-resolution optical waveform monitors (optical sampling oscilloscopes) and all-optical technology.
This new technology utilizes highly nonlinear optical fibers, a single-mode optical fiber that has a distinctive structure that increases the nonlinear optical effect. By exploiting the highly nonlinear optical effect, the optical switch has potential to operate at 1Tbps, and at the same time is able to amplify the power of optical signals by optical parametric amplification. As the optical switch can perform both optical switching and optical amplification simultaneously, it is the world's first of its kind capable of ultra high-speed optical switching with extremely low noise levels. The length of the highly nonlinear optical fibers used in the switch is 20-30 meters, a length for practical use.

Mike
Kris, you are right (felling good about it, that is). Here's my take on it. Out of all these bad apples (large R/S), some will make it, but most of them won't. To me MMON is on the category that has a good chance to make it.
Below is a Msg. that I just posted on LVSG (real BAD, IMO):
I would encourage all to check out the other bad thinks: GMSV, GAWD (the R/S champion), ZANN, IDGC & JRVC, after the last R/S. They ALL GO DOWN to the original price prior to the large R/S.
If someone, however, feels like gambling, here are two other bad thinks that might make it: CYBT, MMON (I recommend these two at the present PPS price), and NEXH. At least these already started to make some money.
Don't take my word for it: do your DD.

The bottom is the price prior to the R/S. Just check out the other recent bad thinks: GMSV, GAVD (the R/S champion), ZANN, IDGC, PLMI & JRVC, after the last R/S. Although they've been all pumped (using a large, high pressure compressor), they ALL went DOWN to the original, that is the price prior to the large R/S.
If someone, however, feels like gambling, here are two other bad thinks that might make it: CYBT, MMON (I recommend these two at the present PPS price), and probably NEXH. At least these already started to make some money.

Squacker, had no idea you were the moderator here, and between the two of us (the only posters here), I don't think we need more than 1 boss (he, he!)
In any event thanks (but no thanks!) for your wish: "have a good snowy day." It's been snowing quite a bit since last night here in Cleveland, and it doesn't seem to stop.
PS: Check out OSEE. If you can get in around 0.02, that is good, IMO. I've been loading it (OSEE), and of course GDVI (where it looks like I'm the only buyer for the last 2 weeks or so). Also MOBL should start moving soon, IMO.

Notes:
1. The last Q net loss was of only $92K. If the trend continue, we should be EPS positive for this Q. Shall see around February 10.
2. Any further improvement in this Q (Q4) financials (that one can expect), should trigger the same type of price move like after the last year Q4, and K financials were released:
http://cbs.marketwatch.com/tools/quotes/javachart.asp?siteid=mktw&symb=osee&x=10&y=7
If the financials are good (as I expect), this could easily go (again) to over 0.1 (I won't be surprised to see even around 0.2 for a few days) by April-May, IMO.
3. In any event, I've been loading in the deeps (and I still intend to). Did the same last year, and got out last spring with a nice 8+ MOMO, in less than 3 months. Hope to do the same this time around.
