Want a Penny Stock poised for massive LT gains?
Recent posting at Avoid The Bag:
A penny stock poised to make MASSIVE long term gains!!!
OTC stocks
There are always those who view them as long term plays, who say "this one is different", for your sake I hope Elite is....good luck.
Well that didn't work out too well...
Been sharing my successes on my blog, its only fair to share the failures as well:
http://www.avoidthebag.com/2016/07/elite-pharmaceuticals-pride-comes.html
Shorts have made huge $$$ on ZIOP
Longs? Anyone who bought in after ZIOP paid Anderson $57.5 million in shares for the partnership deal....not so good. Although those who bought in back in October of 2014 around $2 or $3, they'd still be up...although they're probably kicking themselves if they didn't take any profits at $10+
XON shareholders who got free divy shares, they're obviously green at any price, although they too are probably kicking themselves if they didn't dump and take the money.
Who's buying right now? My guess is its probably short players covering to crystalize some awesome gains. And with all the uncertainty right now over the trial and the need for further financing on top of the ambulance chasers investigating....Overall a good time to cover off imo, when demand should be very low.
Who knows...they may just reload and short more going forward, maybe even try and pump it back up.
Sure....here it is
You didn't include all of the definitions, here it is from the same Merriam-Webster site. Words can have more than 1 or 2 meanings, I shouldn't have assumed you'd know that. Of course you conveniently left out the definition that applied...But with ZIOP longs I'm used to seeing selective reasoning being used, longs only see what they want to see instead of taking in the full picture, its why so many paid $8+
: not likely to be true or correct : giving reason to doubt or question something
: likely to be bad : not worthy of trust
: not certain : unknown or undecided
http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/questionable
Try to slow down, it'll save you from making mistakes.
Same thing happened when UTIMCO chose to dump the ZIOP shares they had discretionary authority over.....Some morons thought they had no choice, that it was mandated they had to sell. If they'd only read ALL the info instead of just what they wanted to see.
Do you understand English?
I referred to their therapy as "questionable"....which means exactly what you said...their drug, "either will or will not work". That's what questionable means...if I thought their therapy wouldn't work I would have expressed that view...like you I don't know.
And it won't be proven one way or another in a phase I trial, even if they ever get to the 48 patients cited at clinicaltrials.gov.
How long did they know of this death before notifying shareholders? According to news being released it already quashed a $50,000,000 share offering the day before the news hit....Why wasn't the news released Thursday?
With OTC penny stocks...
Don't risk money if you can't afford to lose it.....
One patient...
Charles Peacock...he was diagnosed back in April of 2012 according to his blog. So he'd already beaten the odds when he finally enrolled in Ziopharm's trial, although he had to go back on chemo which had succeeded previously in shrinking his tumor...Maybe the chemo is the reason for his survival, and maybe it has nothing to do with Ziopharm's questionable CART therapy.
The way ZIOP behaves....
It seems to me they're more concerned with their share price than with science....touting survival rates in a phase I trial designed to test safety...ugh, pathetic. And now its bitten them in the arse....
They want the Homer Simpson investor types to think their therapy is the reason patients are still alive imo....but when (sadly) patients die in the trial...oh, that has nothing to do with the treatment.
I wonder how long they knew about the most recent death before releasing the news? Saying "we just found out" is very non-specific...."just" a day ago, a week ago....How long ago.
Why use fuzzy words when you don't have to? Would straightforward language scare off investors? Is that the problem?
Small wonder they've attracted the ambulance chasers:
http://www.avoidthebag.com/2016/07/is-ziopharm-guilty-of-fraud.html
And is ABRW's loan 100% secured?
Having big cajones doesn't have to mean being stupid and just buying some Pig In a Poke penny stock on hype.
What were the details of those loans?
I think its more than a little bit facile to just look at one aspect of a loan agreement...the interest rate, and then to draw conclusions from that and that alone.
But obviously its all that you care about....and that's fine. Everyone is entitled to their opinions. Some baseball fans, all they care about is how many home runs a hitter has...they don't care if it was at A, AA, AAA the majors or in Japan or Mexico...a home run is a home run.
I think comparing ABRW, an OTC pink company that's never made a dime...run buy a guy who was let go by Cott (although he made out HUGE in severance, so he does know how to look after himself)...comparing ABRW with the likes of Apple and Nike...that's more than a bit over the top.
But whatever, its OTC pinkie land....and it happens all the time. Little tiny guppies like investors thinking of the big whales.
The truth is usually between the extremes....
Is the 3.7% interest rate and acquisition news was as good as those saying ABRW is now worth $7 or more per share....then that's what it would be trading at.
But obviously (at least for now) its doing better than in was back in February when the PPS was around 20 cents.
Will the current share price be maintained? Will it climb further or fall?
Only time will tell...you know my opinion and I know your's.
Not if its 100% secure.....
If they put up sufficient collateral to fully satisfy the loan in the event of a default....then 3.7% is nothing special.
Reminds me of an old blonde joke...
An attractive blonde woman walks into a bank in NYC and says she wants to borrow $10,000 saying that's she's in a hurry. The loan officer, not knowing the woman at all and having no business relationship with her, he is reluctant.
"What if I put up my Rolls Royce as collateral".
The loan officer figures that would work....$10,000 loaned against a vehicle costing $100s of thousands. He verifies her ownership and that there are no other loans against the vehicle, but he's still leery.
"You can park it here in your garage" the blonde says.
The loan officer is satisfied and the agreement is drawn up and the blonde takes the $10,000 and leaves.
A week later she comes back, settles the loan and takes back possession of her Rolls. The loan officer is more than a little confused, wondering why this woman needed to borrow $10,000 in the first place....but seeing that she's blonde he thinks she must not be very bright. When asking why she went to all this trouble the woman answers..
"You probably think I'm stupid because I'm blonde. Well I just paid less than $100 in interest charges to have my $300,000 Rolls Royce securely parked in NYC while I flew off to Europe. Everyone else I asked wanted $1,000 or more".
You can buy down a rate....
Shaving 10ths of a % off....More important imo is whether or not they put up any collateral. If they did it would be a "secure" loan, and therefore much lower risk.....in that case if say $10 million or more in assets were used to secure the loan, then if the loan is defaulted upon then the bank can seize the assets.
Did they file the terms of the loan somewhere? I've looked and haven't found anything, but if you have a link that would be great.
We'll have to wait for the answers then....
Good luck
It would matter to me....
If my wife went out and got a $100,000 at a low interest rate I would want to know the terms, conditions and covenants of the loan, I'd want to know if she paid a fee....buying down the rate. And naturally I'd want to know if she used the equity in our house as collateral....
I think those are smart questions to ask, but others might not care.
Maybe there are people who'd just say, "We got $100,000 loaned to us by a bank at 3% interest"?!?! FANTASTIC....good job sweetie.
A simple question then NJM...
New Age - Xing.....When is revenue recognized?
When an order comes in?
On product delivery?
When the actual payment is received?
And please substantiate your answer with a source.
You think is 100% irrelevant...
Fair enough...keep buying, you don't think past performance has any relevance....that's cool. Others might....your POV is not the only point of view, that's life.
Good luck
Was any collateral put up?
That's why I talk about things like covenants and conditions....Someone says, "I just got a 2% loan from the bank" and you might think "WoW"...but maybe its because they leveraged the collateral in their home and bought down the interest rate with a cash payment.
Its like those ads that say..."In a recent government study 9 out 10 Doctors recommended using...
Sounds great if you don't ask any questions, like:
How recent? Last year, 5 years ago...10 years?
What government? A regional counsel in Djoubti?
Doctors of what? Divinity?
If you don't use critical thinking you're ripe to be taken advantage of.
How long has ABRW been around
And how much money have they made to date? Joe....we should chill. It seems to me you're constantly looking for a trump card as if to say AHA, that PROVES ABRW will be a winner The only thing we can do now is sit back and wait for some concrete numbers...even unaudited financials are better than what is out there right now.
Incidentally, before ZIOP it was MOBI...I was an idiot for not seeing $8 as a bargain, and LEJU at $18, and and and....
With ZIOP it was a billionaire...
Randal Kirk...the bulls (or pumpers depending on your POV) said I didn't understand what a bargain ZIOP was at $13+ and that BMO, JPMorgan, Griffin Securuites and Billionaire RJ Kirk all knew more than me...
A lot of people stormed in and paid up to almost $15 for ZIOP because the fundamentals obviously said it was worth more....in the end it turned out my opinion was valid.
I would have to see a copy of the loan agreement and given a chance to read the covenants and provisions....the devil is always in the details.
Good luck.
That's my opinion yes...
I'm not just posting stupid youtube videos of a tree falling and yelling TIMBER, I'm taking note of all the news/hype/promo going on, the fact that the share price has climbed from 20 cents to $2 with all the claims that "this one is different", despite all the past history of failure and losses.
I'm hardly the first guy to view OTC penny stocks that have climbed 1,000% with lots of SA pieces touting them....to view them askance.
You disagree, you think this gray market Pinkie trading over the counter, that it will be a long term success. I'm not convinced. You think Bucha's drink is the best tasting where others rank it #10....
Anyway....good luck, we disagree and only time will prove out who is right in the end.
I'm used to the abuse, check MOBI at $8, ZIOP at $13+, SBOT at $20+ pre split....
Altitrade....are you short ABRW?
Just curious....
Ultimately that's for the market to decide....
At the end of the day any stock for any company....its like a fiat currency, its worth is decided by the market. I have seen companies report increased revenues and profits, and then trade down. I have also seen companies report massive losses and go up.....
Back in the dot bomb era with all the accounting scandals at companies like Enron....it really kicked the snot out of investor confidence. So the US passed more stringent reporting requirements with the Saberns-Oxley act of 2002, or Sab/Ox for short. Of course it only applies to companies trading on NYSE, Naz and OTC....not on the gray pinkie market.
Joe....my view on fundamentals
Its hardly a unique opinion....that all fundamental data is already publicly available information and thus already "baked in" to the PPS. You don't have to agree, viewing fundamentals as being the B All and End All, that's a legitimate opinion, as is viewing them as being already priced in.
Part of the fundamental picture here is ABRW's past performance, of never making any profits. Now you think that will change based on the acquisistion and I'm not convinced.
All anyone knows right now is that Xing and New Age apparently had $50 million in revenue. I use the word apparently because, as a private company, there are no 10K or 10Q filings to verify that information. I'm not saying the figure is wrong, just that its unverified.
You've likely heard of companies deferring expenses and revenues? Accounting is full of little games that can be played. A company can decide to take a big write down on a depreciated asset, or they can put it off for another 3 months or even longer....When is revenue recognized? Upon receipt of the actual money? Or when an order is placed?
My old man was a forensic accountant and one of his favorite little bromides was about the CEO asking the CFO how the numbers look...to which the CFO replies: "How do you want them to look"?
Not everyone believes in fundamentals...
And when it comes to penny stocks trading OTC, the number of skeptics climbs even higher. Ultimately stocks trade on supply and demand, and while fundamentals can drive demand (or selling if they're bad)....with penny stocks typically its news/hype/promo that is most successful in driving a stocks price up imo....
And fwiw I can see that happening here....good luck.
NJM....
No compensation, that's cool. I still question outfits like this, but regardless it could and probably should help drive some interest to ABRW.
Nice to be able to disagree with someone who doesn't feel the need to resort to juvenile name calling and temper tantrums when someone presents a contrary point of view.
As you know I have no skin in the game, so I have no issue with wishing you good luck with your investment and I hope it pans out.
FWIW here's a blog post I did today.....I'm not very good at pumping but I gave it my best shot here:
A penny stock poised to make MASSIVE long term gains!!!
$1 resistance becomes $1 support
New blog posting at Avoid The Bag:
http://www.avoidthebag.com/2016/07/lithium-americas-lacto-100-resistance.html
Monster gains from a new blogging site, Avoid The Bag....
Had to share this here. Avoid The Bag has only been publishing for a couple months and already has some big winners....
http://www.avoidthebag.com/2016/07/a-penny-stock-poised-to-make-massive.html
Some will take profits....
And for my own part, I don't have a problem with that....anyone who sells for more than they bought won. But after selling a lot will keep checking back, wanting confirmation that they made the right decision, and that's where the fun can start.
If ELTP starts moving higher, and someone sees it go higher than the price they sold at and keeps moving...you can bet dollars to donuts some will end up chasing, angry for having sold too soon and leaving some $$$ on the table.
Its not right or wrong, good or bad.....its just what happens.
Cool.....fwiw I think there's more upside
I'm gonna wait for news, good luck....I don't think either of your CAPS LOCK predictions will happen, but as you say....everyone is entitled to their opinions so I will wish you good luck....I don't have to have everyone or anyone agree with my POV.
Its a penny stock namtae....
Go onto any board for an OTC stock that's had a decent run and you'll find lots of posters talking about fundamentals and the long term value....its the old "this one is different" " mentality.
Bottom line, greed kills and nobody ever went broke taking profits. Pretty much everyone here loved that Clay Trader's video on the chart....but Clay doesn't advocate a buy and hold mentality.
And if you make a profit but sell too soon....leaving potential higher profits on the table? Cry into the money you made.
Cheers.
What does Ct mean?
Connecticut?
Got on board for the ride here....
Looks like MoMo might just be starting, this was what I was hoping for, climbed on board June 20th.
http://www.avoidthebag.com/2016/06/elite-pharmaceuticals-is-herd-about-to.html
Good answer NJM....
If you want to cut and paste that as a comment in my ATB blog posting it will be approved....I have no problem with careful analysis that acknowledges the risks, which you point out. And naturally with New Age/Xing being private there's no filings to back anything up yet....so we shall have to wait and see.
My opinion vis a vis this being a hype job haven't changed...but its still opinion and opinions can be wrong.
Cheers.
Sound too good to be true?

Promotion doesn't always work obviously....

A blog post I did on Lithium companies...
Mostly about Lithium Americas, but Nemaska is also prominently mentioned...expressing the opinion that the TSX listing could prove a big plus.
