Their statement is in error and highly misleading, (saying as nicely as possible) Apparently Holcomb takes the position since some parts of the systems have UL labels on them, his systems are somehow UL certified. There are a couple of possibilities to that statement, (1) he purposely wants to mislead others (2) he seriously doesn’t know any better (3) he’s never inquired to UL as to their requirements for certification (4) he thinks in his own head someone has field certified his system (5) he’s ignorant

I will not say which one or if all of the above qualifies, but certainly the use of a few UL certified parts in no way shape or form thereby UL certifies any complete system. Secondly, “field testing” by someother entity other than UL isn’t going to certify the HES systems. Thirdly, without the UL certification, once the insurance companies find out and realize that one of these have been installed in or on the property of their insured, that customer WILL lose their insurance coverage. The possibility of fire and deadly shock hazard is too great.

If ASTRA Holcomb want to play and participate in the electrical industry, UL is their only path for success, in my very learned opinion. Why they have waited and or avoiding the UL certification is beyond my rational capacity for thought.

May I add, if these guys try to pull one a fast scam on the Africans and the Africans get knowledge of this attempt, their chances of ever freely returning to the U.S. is quite nil
