I have a window in Firefox that says to check my network connections or check firewall. How do I do that?
Thanks!
ou
Thanks Bruce -- will try it now!
I thought of that but I am afraid to lose all my bookmarks etc I think it does have a restore so I will try that first -- thanks!
HELP!!
For some reason I can open Firefox but I can't access any pages. In Iobit 360 it says that Firefox is neither downloading or uploading any info. This started last night after using Iobit 360 to optimize browser.
I thought of updating the FF version but it just keeps spinning round and round even after a re-boot?
Thanks for any tips!

The Northern Lights trip comes with no warranty and does last 4-6 hours. They usually rate them before 5 o'clock as to your chances of a good show.
Blue lagoon is more hype than reality, imo
Finally got home after an 18-hour odyssey, but well worth it! My only mistake this time was not getting shuttle tickets online for Stockholm from the Svaskas airport. Lost some time and paid a few dollars more.
I also had a gut instinct to rent an apartment suite for a whole week in Provence instead of just 4 days and I should have as it turned out to be the best formula for visiting the region.
Planning is so key. I spent many many hours on booking.com and others and taking out dozens of books from the library but it paid off huge dividends.
BTW, Ryan Air is awesome! Marseilles was all of $30 one way to Stockholm. Almost as expensive doing the 100km shuttle into Stockholm.
Rekjavik was great! The only reason I spent 4 days there was that the transatlantic fare was so cheap with Icelandair compared to Air France and others that I could not resist a no-penalty stay over for any period of time. From there you can go anywhere in Europe for the same price.
Reyjavik is a real party town on weekends -- very noisy and rambunctious (lots of booze and sex in the streets at 5am when leaving for London) but a lot of fun especially for the under 30 crowd.
Did a half day tour of waterfalls and geyser. Tempted by Aurora Borealis but passed!
Kinda expensive town but easy to get by on a budget with a bit of research especially if you rent an apartment suite.
The best part about cruises is that you do not have to plan lodging and travel arrangements.
Last year I took a cruise in the Mediterrean that required little planning besides overseas flight amd choosing excursions in ports of call.
This year I had to book cars, hotels, flights amd research local customs for tipping at restaurants and where to eat.
I am in Stockholm now after having visited Reyjavik, London, Marseilles, Provence, Nice and Stockholm. A lot of planning but driving the BMW and Mercedes-Benz in Provence (on my bucket list) was fun. Planning is everything as almost everything worked out perfectly.
Flying home today!
sweet machine!!
If one does not want to install any programs on a computer, one can always use the IOBIT toolkit (mentioned here recently) off of a memory stick.
I didn't particularly care for Chrome on my Vista loaded computer, but in Linux it was way better. I will definitely try out new FF.
Thanks!!
Played with Linux Mint 9 on my laptop off of the CD without installing it permanently and it is amazingly fast and stable.
Programs are user friendly but I haven't figured out yet how to get wireless access. However through my DSL cable connection the Internet connection is blazingly fast especially using Chrome.
I am tempted to install it permanently and buy another laptop with i3 or i5 processor.
Playing with Mint 9 Linux on laptop. Pretty cool as it is very fast and stable.
Aaron Jenson is one of the best loose canons so far on the Big Game (Pokerstars). He is like a pro yet a proclaimed nerd.
After Life
Very very strange movie but if you are patient the last 30 minutes is its redemption.
Liam Neeson and Christina Ricci (naked for most of movie)
Antarctica Challenge
Stunning photography and very eco-minded if you are into that issue
Dateline UK: Toppling Tehran
imo, the only good thing about these sites is that you know what is the pump du jour. Whatever you do never buy these when the stock is close to a 52 week high as that is a sign of disaster as someone in the wings is already planning their dump.
I only know one outfit in BC that I trust with pup recos because I know the guy who does the research and he is relatively reliable.
Otherwise advance with extreme caution.
I read recently about a black bear that got into a car and drove it in a ditch and it took two hours to extricate the animal from the wreckage.
They let the bear go into the wilds -- with a warning.
Couldn't agree more mimurray!
Homes from Hell
Episode 3 Season 1

Ghost Writer by Roman Polanski

Havana Room

I was totally wrong on Persons Unknown -- there may still be some hope...
The Shift
Even more old fashion detective type show for the real die-hards of this genre.
Unusual Suspects
Old fashion type detective crime stories that are good if you like shows like 48 Hours.
I see Pontiac Aztecs everywhere ...
The Finder
By Colin Harrison
Excellent book that has sophisticated knowledge of the markets and the medical field. Excellent plot and writing!
Homes from Hell pilot episode is about investment opportunities in Dubai that went south.
Second episode is about buying overseas and a big buyer beware theme.
Haven
Interesting pilot episode with some really weird moments and cheesy dialogue.
Intervention
Always liked this show!
Homes from Hell
Interesting series especially if you plan on building or buying overseas.
Hung
Good series that has some Breaking Bad similarities (episode about flies)
Scoundrels
Series with Virginia Madsen that started out ok, but is already deteriorating quickly. There were signs of weakness in the pilot script right from the start.
Only two episodes and it is time to move on already.
