Look mom, I bought todays high! "thats nice hun" They must have saw me coming. I wonder if that dollar makes them feel like they are winning? I mean I guess it adds up with the majority of trading switching over to high frequency fraction of a penny scalping robots.
Zimmer has a one size fits all affair. ConforMIS is more like a tailored suit. Go over there. The Trolling is eerily similar with the name calling. I dont think they realize that tactic is completely transparent as in "I feel threatened". I dont know who is reading that garbage any other way. One of their pages out of the playbook is attacking infection rates. As if anyone could claim lower infection rates on the same materials? What are they doing? sterilizing it better? Not what the FDA reports are saying. Remember this is a company having product pipe line issues that from my perspective are running on a bit too long. What are they doing? As I sit here and watch everyone pushing toward 3d printing. Custom. No inventory.
No one should be expected to go quietly into the night. The longer they can drag their feet the more money they can make today and worry about the future down the road. Possibly positioning for it as you`ve indicated, but not going quietly into the night.
Not here to pump. Just ranting madg. Nobody ever listens. We're safe.
Let me draw parallels to Mcdonalds coffee civil case and metallosis. They knew the coffee pot made coffee too hot. That was part of the courts decision of judgement. Did Mcdonalds continue to use that coffee pot? No. It costs barrels of money to phase that coffee pot out. Part of their reluctance. They introduced Mc Cafe. Wildly successfully over stupid mcdonalds coffee.
I wouldnt put it past the usual suspects to continue to use products they've developed a track record with. The level of intelligence is astounding. Phase it out to what? Inferior ceramics is what sparked Khankars research down this rabbit hole.
Sintx doesnt have a knee? Sonny has all kind of things sitting on his desk. Looks like it's a sini coated prototype.
ConfroMiS conflict of interest? I was crying about this months ago on the anomaly the funds where passing through a LLC or similar. I forget, but not directly to sonny as usual. Was that move simply to protect from conflict of interest? I dont know. the LLC cloaks the benefactors. Possibly a nothing burger and no ConforMis SINTX relationships. SiNTx 3d prints. ConforMis is laying foundation for custom units. Custom leads me to believe the unit will be 3d printed. any other manufacture process I assume is the hard route of custom.
I guess we can continue doing this. Is there precedent in civil court? do the US metallosis lawsuits outcomes set precedent? How bout what this is doing to the legacy Dr.' loyalty at the end of the day? There's an argument Sonny could be seen as one of these legacy Dr's. Dr. Tower. Then Sonny appears as a witness in loosening and no more Zimmer paychecks? loosening an issue that plays right into the hands of SiNi. Ohh, and then he gets a law degree. Yeah you`re gunna need one of those Legacy Dr.. All the time spent in court determining liability. We can keep doing this. no need for SiNi.
"Hopefully his consulting work with conformis developing a knee product gets them another company to sign to manufacture for."
Thanks for being objective here madg. I appreciate this. I`ve been noticing some rumbling around conformis. Hopefully it has to do with positioning around metallosis, and not just a dead link from conformis to SiNi. I`ll match your objectiveness and say my summary of that last quarterly is a company dying a slow and painful death financially. We all here know and suspect whats off the scoreboard.
If you've been keeping track (which you shouldnt)around 30 million potential common is the exact numbers I was crunching months ago here. Lack of conversion is again something I mentioned as a potential, earlier. For my own personal amusement I hope this is the beginning of a long list of potential correct calls here.
What else I can glean from the factoids in the new data? Sintx is sitting on a pile of cash and casually mention increasing R&D expenses in relation to new product development. Hopefully what were witnessing is financial positioning. I hope they can pull it all off this time. Definitely the embryonic stages and too early for the casual to call, here. Definitely a gamble. Take all the factoids, analyze them into the macrocosm using butter fly effect. For my money this is much safer than roulette wheels.
Anyone interested on my analysis of brasil. I've bumped my rating from a destabilized region no go zone to a potential emerging market. sentiment has swung from BRICS to just dont talk about it with brasil.
That pans out and amda's attempts to push into that market might switch from a laughing stock to visionary.
https://www.sintx.com/
Well they got their logo, web address and working on a new website. Sintech is a bit crowded. That's the abbreviation for Texas. big T little x. No clue if thats relevant. Probably not. So.. chapters in Utah, Texas and possibly brasil? Sintx do brasil would make them distinguishable.
Am I crazy and full of it? Are you crazy and full of it? We got a guy Overwhelmingly experienced with a guy with natural adeptness and his own unigue skillsets at the helm. That sounds like a winning team. Sounds like a jobs Wozniak partnership.
That's when we unlock. When Chon proves us not crazy.
Everything you`ve posted is fine. It doesnt cross the ethical boundaries. Talk about who you are where you live etc, for instance? That crosses the boundary in my opinion. It should be up to you to share that info. I've recently become a bit too stalkey in my deep dive. That's all I was referring to.
In relation to how I analyze the stock? I dont claim to have all the answers. I just attempt to post what I find and my interpretations. It's forever evolving along a timeline. Just like reality. Deals like Wego for instance. You mad I was joshing you about being me again?
In any other sale of assets I would expect for Sint to receive cease and desist letters by now. I think it's safe to say this is not a standard case.
I mean it takes a prize purse of maybe $100 for digital artists to compete to create a SINT logo. Go ask Chon. Some people are just born this way. Others attempt to substitute this with qualifications.
The train analogy. Sonny pushes from behind. I said awhile ago if I made Lisa Su CEO Sonny stays as president of research #2 as he's vital to the company. This thing looks range bound according to the ticker until something is done to change the narrative in the minds of the common investor. That guy looks like Chon pulling from the front.
Wouldn't be surprised if CTL and Sint start sharing a booth next to Zimmer. As if such a thing should be ignored as a completely ridiculous coincidence in the implant industry. An industry so steeped in competition with companies constantly vying and jockeying for position I'd say there is nothing left up to coincidence.
I think I've hit a wall on ethics. How deep do we dive and share in the interest of transparency? What are the real world consequences? Am I sending a message of "get involved with Sintex and know the investors will shine a spot light on you"? perhaps dissuading involvement? Perhaps. In that vain, I think I've crossed a line and will be backing off and a bit more cautious in my crusade of transparency.
Something interesting I thought about on who owns all the shares. Any internal vote they must be able to capture some of this data? When I called into the cc I was asked what company I was with said none and thought it was odd "im a rando that owns stock. What do I mean what company? I have to be with a company to own this stock" as if I was expected to have an answer. Like hello "real bulls" theres like 4 of us from what I can tell.
Fun fact. Ticker symbol SINI is taken by singer industries. Sint is sintercast. Sintx is sintex industries. Not to be confused as a plastic water tank company. Have no idea how anyone is expected to find the new ticker. Especially if sintx starts manufacturing sintx for brazilian sintx. This might get confusing. I see why they pulled the analyst off this. She was probably caught drawing out connections on the hotel bathroom walls.
Or he got hit by a car or has business elsewhere for all we know. If the point is to consolidate and shake off investors who owns all these shares? Theres just invisible people everywhere that own meager hand fulls everywhere? No reports of ownership to the sec needed? Isnt there some provision in place no sole intetity can take more than 5 percent hidden in amdas own bylaws? Theres ways around this like filing with the sec telling them essentially to get f#=ked. And they smile and give you the previlege of not reporting ownership. If the idea is to get shook look how well it worked on the way down. I imagine any up will be a route of equal effectiveness to get shook. If sonny's final price is equavalent to 200 per share that looks awfully suspicious going from 30 cents to 200 for everyone over night. Unprecedented?
Might have not included enough words like "in my opinion" or "what it looks like is" etc. SEC might get picky. In my opinion the sec serves the agenda of the larger stakeholder in any given dispute. Aka theyre corrupted and more willing to serve interests going after guys like cl and ignoring madoff's and only service as a boogie man for little guys like cl from posting how he really feels. Were not children. We dont need protection from some guys opinion. Obviously there was something he said that rang true enough for people to ask where he went. My main objection to his main thesis was always a turn around story was always needed to be groomed out of amda before any such merger just to justify to everyone the price tag and the fact it was a good idea or intelligent business move. Nice to see sonny detailing a potential such turn around plan in the conference call guided by consulting hands. Paraphrasing his words a bit.
Far off places like venezuela nicaragua and Belize. Where there's a lack of infrastructure and cargo shipments I see 3d printing titanium and PEEK in house a huge deal. These places dont have a sales rep. In the 1st world this is bush mechanics in my opinion and deserve the benefits of SiNi coating the implants and tools or full SiNi sintering. Except for doped peek for these places I don't see them developing the infrastructure for Sintering or Coating anytime soon.
btw, way to be objective and question whether it's possible to just print out Valeo on your desk instead of immediately jumping on the AMDA band wagon. I like that.
I think theyre running with the robocaster and still need to oven sinter. There was issues with a previous ceramic due to cracking where one of the co's found an issue with how they where running their sintering batches and what oven they where using causing improper sintering in a slurry manufacture process. I think they did a recall due to cracking. batch vs. conveyor fed sintering. Feel free to prove me wrong tho. and prove robocasting ceramics on your desk is a viable option.
A question I have is 3d printing doped UHMDPE. If I send out a line or powder doped with SiNi for in house medical implant manufacture, is AMDA patent protected? I think yes. They have a patent for doping plastic.
The titanium is laser sintered and ready to go. Ceramics need oven sintering after robocasting from what I understand.
off topic, my friend asked whats going on with GE. told him ask an analyst. Everyone will give you a different answer. Read one that said lack of future growth potential. Ha I tricked you it's on topic. You think this analyst deep dived H1 implant to discover GE's involvement and future growth potential in these forever widening circles of relationship? to discover the future growth potential there? I dont think so. I wouldn't listen to an analyst over 3 months time frame where I think their focus ends. At that point everyone knows and most of the upside is already baked in.
well shut it all down I guess. The future is in hospitals 3d printing implants and tools in house so there's no need for implant device manufacturers or sales. With peek and Titanium this is very doable. You can absolutely print out plastic crap on your desk and robocast laser sinter titanium all day right on your desk. Good bye sales reps.
Biolox delta and SiNi sintering is a no go. So is plasma coating anything with SiNi such as implants and tools. In this model hospital in house manufacture looks like 3rd world tier second rate tech until they get desk top sintering and sini coating worked out.
Zimmer, marred with years of lawsuits from patients suffering from its implants, more to come from MoP hip implants
Sonny mentioned in the Conference Call that CTL works because they're open to non exclusivity on the material. In fact the agreement states it's up to CTL to do their best to develop these Joint development arrangements among other spinal companies to develop their products to incorporate SiNi into their product lines.
That seems counter productive for Zimmer to step in. Buy the patents from AMDA and shut all of this down. If I where Chon doing the leg work to develop these deals, I would be PO'd.
Zimmer getting exclusivity on the material doesn't make sense. They don't have exclusivity on Titanium or Biolox Delta. What if there's other forces at work beyond AMDA just thinking exclusivity is a bad idea? Shadow hands putting in cash into grants connected to the other big players that want this. Kyocera putting in leg work. Now CTL putting in leg work etc. that would get burnt with Zimmer sole exclusivity.
Condoms? I don't think you guys are serious. Defending condoms? As if the future of Amedica depends on these extra marital material affairs outside of implants. I don't even think this would work. The porous structure allows smaller fish to float through this fish net. that's how disease slips through condoms. I`m not even going to speculate on where this material is applied and patent protected that actually makes sense outside of implants.
What was the CEO that got escorted out? Russell? Had a history in the forces and was talking about military contracts. There was some speculation on SiNi projectiles. Look at the hydraulic press vid. They start speculating on how to break this. Mention shooting it out of a .50 caliber. this is probably how this conjecture arised. Nothing Amedica has patent protects projectiles. If you shot this out of a bore it's hardness would destroy the rifling. You would have to sabot it or use it as a core in a jacketed bullet. Tungsten cored projectiles and depleted uranium are current AP rounds. Depleted uranium is a metal. Both are metals selected for extreme hardness for AP.
http://newsimg.bbc.co.uk/media/images/38972000/gif/_38972561_du_missile4_416inf.gif
there are no DU AP rounds for rifles in the civilian world. I think the rule in the civilian world is you can have tungsten core AP rounds but no one can sell it to you. I don't think it would be too hard to make a similar SiNi rifle round prototype, using the tungsten AP round design for testing purposes. The idea is a soft jacket with a hard core to protect the rifling while it leaves the barrel but have the hard core for penetration.
It's not a crazy concept that deserved the mocking of Russell? on whatever convo. came about that this was mentioned in relation to Amedica. I guess they are out of material and now having to make up their own BS.
In regards to marketing, here's a company that's doing it right.
https://www.osseus.com/black-diamond-pss/
You can tell alot of time was spent on fonts, colors and flash to grab your attention. Look at that production value.
but most surgeons I have spoken to don’t want to put a hard ceramic object in the spine.
Well I can't find my source for reference or review of the claim I read something about K2M about to dominate stryker in spine. So I`ll retract it based on solid evidence. Considering my statement hinges on one guys opinion possibly larping I cant find.
Well the reasoning I heard was K2M was set to outpace stryker in spinal sales and stryker wasnt having that. Looks better to report a huge acquisition than you just got outpaced. However, this looks really similar to the spinal implant that ghosted and whent AWOL featured in that Amedica presentation as far as tech. from what I can tell.
https://www.3dprintingmedia.network/wp-content/uploads/2017/03/Tritanium-PL-Spine-390x220.jpg
The idea of a porous covered in a solid and machined to expose the porous. SiNi is extremely hard and difficult to machine, obviously. Especially with K2M previously in place here at AMDA.

what's causing the blackness in titanium K2M?
"uses an advanced 3D printing method" robocasting anyone?
"K2M’s Lamellar 3D Titanium Technology™" trademarked and proprietary.
Let's investigate the word Lamellar
"Lamellar structures or microstructures are composed of fine, alternating layers of different materials"
So how does one turn titanium black?
My guess is that it would be Black Titanium Nitride. After blowing the dust off a few memory cells, I thought it was in JCK that I some years back read about it so I found this link for you…
http://tinyurl.com/yzpf2eg 1
You can do this to some degree in house by heating and cooling the
Titanium… I used to know the entire method but the cobwebs are justtoo danged thick!!! I remember it took 2000 deg. F. or so to make ithappen… it was a tough process but I do remember getting some nice blacks and the surface was really really durable.
people call me a dummy here for where I put my money. I keep putting it on the scale and the percents looks extra strong in my analysis. maybe I'm too much of a dummy to realize i`m dumb and there's a first time for everything. So I`ll just default my opinion to this tech. doc bank rolling off all his patents. Accepting the stock option. He seems smart. Maybe he's got so much money he doesn't know what to do with it and just bets it all on black for fun these days.
Thanks for posting this. I had no intentions of reading the transcript. Shots across the bow. Returned fire. Wall street may want to give the impression of not paying attention to these guys. The industry is definitely paying attention. Key note speaker. Seeking expert testimony and consultation.
Interesting use of the words "not wanting to telegraph anything". I will sit here and attempt to glean insight in the way Sintx roles off your tongue.
What's short interest like? That would take a brass pair in my opinion or insider info. at this point. With the name Amedica CTL inherits the website, twitter, youtube from my understanding. Leaving Sintx to build back from the ground up from a company that can't post the conference call transcript. Catch me when I`m falling world. Trust fall.
Interesting you mention Kyocera's azul, Boston. In context with ceramtec defaulting to a Kyocera sales rep. in Japan. It's published that it's Kyocera that was helping the hip study in Japan with the Zimmer plastic liner. Why help your competition in development of a product that competes against Azul? Then answer the phone for Ceramtec sales?
With Ceramtec, Kyocera, Coorstek (Am i forgetting anyone) Ceramicized aluminum oxide femoral heads. None of these violate the Ashok,Bryan Amedica patent for a superior ceramicized Aluminum oxide material? Neither Ashok or Bryan would show licensing/rights royalties for the tech. on dollars for docs. I don't think they have a duty to publish that personally beyond possibly within the Amedica quarterlies. There's a possibility they let it run with Ashok and Bryan royalties and Amedica is not considering it part of their intellectual property. That would be a nice thing to do.
The highest payed doc on dollars for docs takes the licensing and rights royalties. Now CTL's problem to pay the man. Previously he was taking stock, not cash from my understanding. In my mind you got possibly the greatest mind in spinal development tech. taking the stock option, not cash. Interesting.
Ceramtec lost because the chrome made it the color pink and it was deemed essential. If it was deemed non essential they would have won protection with no trademark in place. This is like wendys saying "I`m loving it". Ceramatec was essentially Mcdoanalds and still exists under coorstek. The same guys they sued over the color pink. The entertainment value alone is worth every penny. I`ll drop it though. I think we've run this issues course.
It's not me. It's the system. We live in this world.
neither company owns the trademark so neither is impeding on the other.
http://www.cost-newgen.org/wp-content/uploads/2016/06/2A-On-the-history-of-bioceramics-for-hip-joint-replacement-C-Piconi.pdf
Interesting presentation. looks to be in partnership with these guys.
http://www.cost-newgen.org/
Action ended 2017
I`m aware of Azul. Just makes it even stranger Ceramtec would default to their competition for any business within Japan. Ceramtec show a history of selling out to the highest bidder with acquisition from BC partners. Kyocera shows a long and strong history of ceramic manufacture and merger acquisitions of the weak. If BC partners seriously are thinking they are jumping in here to try their hand at ceramics I dont expect them to last long in competition. You don't sell a company that's about to out compete Kyocera and I doubt BC partners has anything up it's sleeve in regards to their ceramic manufacture expertise that would change this fact. Sounds to me like BC partners is better off taking a few annual profits. Slapping some lipstick on this pig and selling her down the road.
Interesting to note. Ceramtec lists kyocera as their japan sales representative.
https://www.ceramtec.com/contact/recommended/tag/spk/
If Kyocera is listed as the joint partner in the japan hip study and AMDA and Biolox make no contest over the use of "Material Matters". Then Ceramtec lists Kyocera as their sales representative. It makes sense they would use a Zimmer liner because Kyocera is connected to Ceramtec and Ceramtec is connected to Zimmer.
This opens a situation where stryker, Zimmer, Johnson and Johnson are not competing against one another? If this is all Zimmer behind the curtain why would they let CTL acquire when I can show you evidence of an unhealthy interest in Stryker over there?
No clue if it's a falter. Could be just divestment of a trademark to their competition?
So what possibilities are we looking at here?
1. Sintx now provides Sintx to Sintex?
2. Sintx partners with spinal kinetics to provide the artist formerly known as Sintx to Fusao and Valeo to Sintex?
3. Amedica merges with Ceramtec. CTL, Sintex gets bought up by whoever wants a piece. Amedica provides SiNi to anyone who wants a piece and we all agree that "material matters"?
Just a few possibilities.
Can't really uncover anything on Sintex medical formation beyond the Ceo's name and geo-location. So I switched gears slightly.
https://www.amedica.com/news-media/press-releases/detail/21/amedica-corporation-announces-private-label-agreement-with
Amedica will provide Spinal Kinetics with sterile packed silicon nitride spinal interbody fusion devices for sale in worldwide markets.
The SiNTx line of interbody fusion devices, made from a composite silicon nitride biomaterial, have a hydrophilic surface texture that promotes osteointegration and inhibits biofilm.
A composite material (also called a composition material or shortened to composite, which is the common name) is a material made from two or more constituent materials with significantly different physical or chemical properties that, when combined, produce a material with characteristics different from the individual
So Sintx will continue supplying to Sintex? I`m not buying this one bit. None of this passes muster in my opinion. Name change to Sintx when? next quarter? where "material matters"? none of this was well thought out if legit. I can only conclude it is illegitimate. We're not dealing with small minds here.
Sintex Brazil was started by Amedica management.
