S3 filing effective. Well timed for partnership or any other interest before/during/after the presentation tomorrow. Maybe it is timed to align with someone else's presentation....that could be really interesting if the their presentation includes partnering with Anavex.
Now, we know why it was filed when it was filed.
JMHO,
vg_future
Tempephil, I agree that Missling has said that partnership is for only distribution and manufacturing....however that can change based on what is being offered by a partner.....also, I expect it to change bcoz the whole landscape changes with the results.
Regarding the wording in the prospectus, they are pretty generic statements. Moreover, partnering can be part of the business and anticipated growth. Having said that, I am not saying that it is definitely partner related, but the size suggests something big could be (or maybe done) in the works.
AIMHO,
vg_future
TempePhil, I have a slightly different interpretation to this thought process (possibility 2 is close to what you are saying). Assuming that the recent LPC has been used for some additional cash (in addition to what they have), then why do you need an additional 250 mill shelf offering now
- Possibility 1: some partner wants to join the party with a stake in the game. Why would Anavex do a shelf offering if all these days you have been using LPC type private placements...interesting. So, this is a great possibility
- Possibility 2: Anavex is close to some big milestone and needs huge influx of money to carry through the next phase phase...small LPC deals aren't enough for this phase.
Either way, something big is about to happen.
JMHO,
vg_future
or it could just be one fund transferring to another. They do such huge transfers around re-balancing without much price fluctuation. It doesn't necessarily have to be Anavex selling shares.
For PDD trial, Missling already mentioned that in a presentation. Probably, it would come in due course after any regulatory clearances/approvals. So, I would say that is a go as well...we would see a PR in due course.
JMHO,
vg_future
Longterm holders, wake up and smell the great coffee....the NEWS is excellent. All the noise around "words in the PR" is an attempt to remove the air from the positive development. For me, this NEWS is an assurance that things are going great and proceeding to the intended goal.
Trading in the stock is effected by multiple factors with manipulation being one aspect. So, I wouldn't read too much into it.
-vg_future
If I may, I would say it is significant for people who people who can understand that there is more from where this NEWS came from. The key is that "they could (as per Missling "should") have pulled the plug if there is no improvement...particularly for the young participant, it is more important to not expose them to unwanted and ineffective treatment...". So, this NEWS is a bold statement that the treatment is working and extension will evaluate other aspects like safety and tolerability.
JMHO,
vg_future
nidan7500, I couldn't agree more. This indicates that the results are positive. I think this supports the decision to start anther trial in Australia as well...they were seeing positive results among the patients and wanted to get started in Australia as well (Missling, with all his safety and fail fast approach, wouldn't start a new trial unless he has some good confirmation).
-vg_future
Nice try. Where are you pulling this 10 million share count from? You can try spinning it your way, but not going to fly. Sorry.
Thanks Kevli33 for the filing. The specific dollar amount ($21,159,993) mentioned in the filing is interesting and tells me that it is a continuation of some previous agreement (and maybe closing it out now) or raising as needed and for some specific reason. If it is for general purpose or if it is the first time, the number could be a round number like 20 million, 25 milion or 50 million.
Also, for all that we know, they could selling just a million shares at $21 a piece for $21 million. In which case, we could see (or company is expecting) some significant raise in the share price in coming days/weeks.
-vg_future
Someone is very nervous and you can see that in their posts (quantity and desperateness). These character(s) will disappear once the OpEx next Friday passes....it might continue if they are or get more desperate than I think.
It is real fun to watch these guys crash and burn.
-vg_future
Okay, thanks for clarifying.
vg_future
I disagree with that assessment. Reference for more info doesn’t mean that it is an extension. Extension will be identified as such....explicitly. Seem like two separate trials with their own schedules.
-vg_future
More damage is done by the anxious longs (assuming) then the shorts with an agenda. More importantly, this damage is done to themselves (self help) by exiting positions under pressure. I am holding onto my position....adding as possible.
JMHO,
vg_future
Wow! Thanks for posting this TTTav66. Looks like Australia is getting lot of info and public support to give Anavex approval.
Stick to the moon.....but, most importantly medicine to the much needed people.
-vg_future
HH joining Eisai is good for Anavex....period. Good exposure and support for Anavex. People trying to dissect the NEWS and see if there is anything negative about it is all noise....unable to accept that it could be good to Anavex.
Jsut sit back and see how the things play out.
JMHO,
vg_future
Talon, would love an update this June. However, the date is June, 2020.
Will be great to get some update this June or before though.
-vg_future
Are you confusing Expanded Access with Extended Access ? Both are good and a welcome sign for Anavex though.
-vg_future
I agree. I would rather have an independent group come out with NEWS while we wait for the breakthrough trial results from Anavex.
NTRP CEO released a statement yesterday about the failure of Biogen trials and the possible success of their own. So, it might be attracting some attention and investors.
Interestingly NTRP CEO releases a statement feeling sorry for the Biogen's failed attempt....actually, looks like his goal is to pull attention towards their own trial.
https://finance.yahoo.com/news/neurotrope-comments-biogens-discontinued-phase-135500214.html
I can understand the frustration considering the previous delays (beyond CM's control...what can one do when FDA is like that). I think they are trying to communicate more now as things are getting more clear(er). From investors' perspective, we can do what we can do..i.e., basically understand the provided info and equip the management with what is needed to push this forward. I don't think they are going to abuse the blank check shares and whatever they are saying is a possibility when we start seeing the results/NEWS roll out from the trials.
Goodluck to you and all the longs!
-vg_future
Please read my message properly. My concern is that this proxy discussion is taking away the focus from positive developments that can be shared and discussed for everybody's benefit. Company has afforded what they can afford as far as the reasons for the preferred shares. Your choice is to vote YES or NO. Theorizing possibilities that are geared towards creating doubt and fear are to be avoided. Few posters (BTW, the frequency of these posts seemed to have increased) can keep on second guessing management's intentions. I would rather look at the developments and the traction that the trials are getting. We will find out soon how these trials are progressing and more importantly the competitors and big pharmas will find out as well. So, management should be equipped with what proper ammunition to fight any hostile approaches.
JMHO,
vg_future
nidan7500, couldn't agree more. The number of these fudsters and their posts has gone up...most likely due to the fear of the proposals getting approved successfully and the traction that the trials are getting.
- confirmed NEWS: 50% enrollmentfor PDD, PDD extension request, 1st patient dosed for RETT, AUS trials going good.
Biomarkers consortium with other big players.
Possible NEWS: enrollment updates from PDD trials in Spain.
I would rather hear these updates rather than the fud and fear being spread about the preferred shares. Let the management do their job.
IMHO,
vg_future
Word of Caution. We are all eagerly awaiting NEWS from the trials and that makes us very gullible. We are hungry for any bit of NEWS. I am not against someone from Spain or Australia sharing NEWS, but board members (posters) tend to be more accepting if it is positive/encouraging NEWS and discounting if negative or vice-versa depending on the their position (long/short) or agenda. Either way, the bottom line is that any bit of NEWS has to be substantiated or else we can easily be played. I would take the NEWS from the company or a published article as an alternative (sometimes even published articles are misleading depending on where they are coming from).
Lot of investors here have tons of money, time, emotions, and hope (for treatment) invested in here. So, extra care has to be exercised at this crucial juncture (verge of major results breakthrough).
JMHO,
vg_future
It looks positive considering that CM has mentioned in the presentation eventhough he didn't have to at this point in the trial.
Most importantly, could it be possible that the 1 million that was allocated (or being used) for commercialization will be used for the extension and beyond for the folks that are showing good response?
-vg_future
Look at filing date-it is Sep 30th,2016. So, don't jump the gun.
Congratulations to all longs!
-vg_future
triangle - well said. I strongly echo your thoughts/sentiment. everybody should enjoy the good NEWS rather than trying to find faults.
JMHO,
vg_future
Why would it be bad NEWS...just some noise on the side causing distraction. Trial doesn't equate to loss....just some additional work. This could be our opportunity to expose all NOK's (and now MSFT) dirty laundry. MSFT should/would be sorry that they asked for this.
I wish someone of loophole's caliber and experience with IDCC represent IDCC.
JMHO,
vg_future
As I said...possible that I misunderstood. It could just be standard verbiage for arbitration award PRs. However, this when put together with what Loophole has afforded in his opinion (both parties responsible for their own legal fees) makes me think that there might some breakthrough in the negotiations.
jmho,
vg_future
From what Paullee has posted...sounds monetary....
LG Electronics Inc. has agreed to pay the full amount of an arbitration award in favor of Pennsylvania-based InterDigital Communications Inc. in a patent licensing dispute, according to a stipulation approved by a New York federal court on Sunday
Terminology seems to be indicating monetary award ....might not be.... if it is some legal speak. Anyway, we will have to wait for Interdigital to make anything public. Sounds positive though. IMHO
-vg_future
That is the old amount (2008 agreement). No info yet on the new amount.
JMHO, this has private equity (privatization), merger, buyout written all over it....hopefully we will be able to read it and decipher it.
Goodluck All true longs!
-vg_future
Okay, thanks for the quick response. Appreciate it.
Data_Rox, quick question. Is the chart indicating that it is going to go up? TIA
-vg_future
if not for the longs, I wish IDCC goes up and up just to stop the constant naysayer noise. Of course the smile on the faces of the real longs would be priceless as well.
I can take a well worded critique based on logic, but posts that keep expressing baseless negative sentiments are hard to take.
JMHO,
vg_future
Who needs the street pessimists when we have our own in-house experts in the field. JMHO, there will be more crying here on the board in spite of excellent results.
Good luck to longs....and only longs.
-vg_future
Thanks olddog967. Some positive from the filing maybe..."Huawei and IDCC confer on the initial payment...." sounds like they discussed (and hopefully agreed or else why mention it) on the catch up payment or atleast the initial payment to kickoff the license. I agree that it is really painful to see these companies drag out everything...for the life of me I can't believe that ITC is siding with these type of foreign companies that are unwilling to license and pay. In fact US companies are not any less guilty in this matter. I am not sure how far backwards IDCC needs to bend. There has to be justice somewhere.
JMHO,
vg_future
olddog967, thanks for the filing info. The key piece of info in that filing is that the parties are working/requesting jointly for the schedule change...meaning they are working out the details of settlement/agreement . I am happy with this kind of movement.
JMHO,
vg_future
