Guzzi62, I understand what you are saying. They don't have to read the board regularly, but there could be someone here who might in constant contact and highlighting corrections/concerns back to them (though not all could/would be addressed).
JMHO,
vg_future
Powerwalker, someone at Anavex definitely reads this board. You are right.
Hope these presentations mean something big is about to happen.
-vg_future
powerwalker, I still see his name in the Management section, so not sure where you are looking. Making multiple presentations might aloss indicate something more impending coming out of Anavex.

kevindenver, thankyou very much. No problem! Thanks for re-reading the message in the right context. As few others here have opined, probably just a mistake (wrong data entry).
Goodluck to all the suffering patients and the longs who are true investors. Hope all catch a break soon!
-vg_future
Powerwalker, agreed…a mistake during data entry.
Regarding Kevin, I was surprised to see such a message when the question was simple and with no agenda. Anyway, not a big deal. It is his/her concern.
-vg_future
powerwalker, thanks for the explanation. I was referring to column 5....not a big deal. Maybe just a mistake.
yes, possible mistake. Definitely threw me in a loop though.
georgejjl, please look at column 5....not 10. That is what I was referring to and querying about.
georgejjl, that is clear. But, why are they showing as "D" instead of "A" like Sandra's?
Got it. Thanks boi568. I was confused because of "A" vs "D". This makes logical sense.
-vg_future
That was a simple question - either you know the answer or don't and then you choose to answer it or not. You don't have to get high and condescending about it and make smarta$$ comments.
Missling might not have forfeited them, but it doesn't make sense to exercise them when the market price is below the exercise price. I guess he could wait until the right time and price. That is what I meant.
However, the question still remains....why is his form4 shows them under "D" and Sandra's show under "A"?
Again, simple question...not a trick/rhetorical question.
To my knowledge, Missling’s options are forfeited (sounds logical because the market price is $4 lower than the exercise price of $10). The form shows them as “D” (disposed) with no price.
However, I didn’t understand why the 10k options for Sandra are showing as “A” for the same exercise price of $10. Why would anyone pay $100k for something that they can get for $60k in the open market.
-vg_future
Yes, the best and obvious explanation. Folks are trying to rip into it in a desperate attempt to spread the FUD. Also, regarding Fadiran, for all that we know he might have done what he was brought in for....preparing the data and paperwork for submissions (folks have to remember that he cannot create the data...that is another part of the company...he can only arrange it in the best possible way). He might have left for personal reasons (company doesn't have to divulge that info) and the new guy came to take over (with the one year ramp up). Folks saying otherwise and pissing all over the place know jack shit and are just bunch of armchair CEOs who can only babble non-sense here.
JMHO,
vg_future
Yes, I found the PR very very reassuring while we wait for the most awaited publications/results.
-vg_future
The volume tells me that the NEWS is good and folks are either covering are taking positions. Folks sweating on the wording of the PR about timing of the publication and RETT results might want to focus on the sentences from the beginning of the paragraph. The confirmation of this/current quarter 2023 should be applied for both events.
-vg_future
waiting for the day when they scoop their own poop....
Well caught and expressed avxllent! In fact, the second sentence should be applied to the poster......a smart investor should invest, keep mum, and get stinking rich. Desperateness is spilling quite often these days.
Loved the example. Very well put.
😄😄😄...good one bas2020
Yes, there is more help from the general market (or attleast BTK). So, no need to give undue importance to AF's article. I would specifically suspect any posts now saying that even yesterday's run is a manipulation. There is no way. We had a surge in price and volume on a very negative market day yesterday....that is genuine interest/fear.
-vg_future
Don't believe folks saying that this new volume surge is a manipulation. It is not. It is a genuine interest or short covering based on the CC. FUDsters are looking to downplay the upward movement as manipulation hoping that folks start selling to give them what they want...shares to cover to their positions.
-vg_future
In fact, the stock held strong even after the hit piece came out this morning. The general market weakness has added to cause the temporary downtick. This shall pass.
It would be great if Missling surprises these FUDsters with some additional NEWS soon.
JMHO,
vg_future
Yep. It is fun to watch when desperateness kicks in. Maybe even multiple IDs for the same person (talking to themselves...self help)
-vg_future
All this BS about cashless transaction is pure FUD or bloated ego not giving up on argument. Missling left his money (awarded to him as options based compensation) on the table...as simple as that. He could have taken it and didn't. It is equivalent to putting money from his pocket...not matter how it is being spun by few here.
Further data readouts and analysis and FDA submissions would speak for themselves and his actions.
JMHO,
vg_future
kevindenver, well said. Most importantly, CEO didn't line his pockets...he built cash reserves for the company. That shows confidence.
JMHO,
vg_future
Got it. We are all eagerly waiting...so, any hint of NEWS will be exciting.

Interesting post from ST. Thanks to Monregi on ST for posting this.

What was Nell doing yesterday at Citi HQ?
link please?
I would take it with a grain of salt unless a link (entire list) with the exhibits/posters is provided. The ST message just had a screen shot of just one page (maybe). Also, there is always a possibility of a late breaking session or something to that effect.
JMHO,
vg_future
No such restrictions in/on TDAmeritrade. Could be platform specific.
NP. Actually Talon posted it before me and I was just pointing at some submission references as a part of the discussion around how new the article is.
yes, agreed.
The article seems like a new submission... From the article:
Also, there are references in there from Sep, 2022 (so, it cannot be years old as some seem to say/hint)

ignatiusrielly35, sorry for the delayed response. Yes, it was a new position and it is interesting. Let's see what happens by tomorrow.
-vg_future
Steady_T, sorry I missed this post earlier. You might have already noticed that the open interest has increased by the volume (around 3K), but just clarifying....
the 18 were the open interest from the earlier day and the 3K volume on that day (not reflected in the open interest when you checked I think) are the new ones that are opened. I am not sure why the position was opened...anticipation of NEWS around earnings or to provide additional leverage for some new long positions or short covering (maybe). Let's see where the stock closes by tomorrow (option expiration).
-vg_future
Yes, I think that is the connection that led to the conversation on LinkedIn that the ST member pulled (I couldn’t paste the actual conversation from LinkedIn) . Also, I think the market cap is more close to 10 Billion or more than that (I could be wrong though).
-vg_future
From ST, found this interesting conversation...not sure if this is posted here already. Posting as is...hopefully they don't mind this reposting/sharing here.

$AVXL Just found this on Linkedin. Otsuka holdings, a japanese pharma company contacted Nell Rebowe about a month ago. The bets for associating with anavex begin to rise...

@monregi $20B MC Japanese company. Interesting.
Hoping for a bigger more powerful partner

@AntonioChigurh what we have found is a rare public slip-up between ex-work colleagues, I'm sure there are many more contacts behind that we don't know about...

@AntonioChigurh @monregi Anavex is required to partner with Japanese based pharma if they want to sell in Japan. There will bigger partners for other bigger territories for AD, PD.
Thanks Simonizer. Could this be due to grants (option/RSU) vesting?
Hoskuld, yes, in a way and there was some additional light shed on Parkinson as well. One big difference is that Tom spoke to Anavex (so, more like a Q&A or discussion) as opposed to the analysis based on what came out in the PR and CC report. Looks like Tom felt confident after he spoke which is good. Many smart posters on this board (as you mentioned) came to the same conclusions as Tom, but there are always posters who try to downplay the analysis and create the noise.
JMHO,
vg_future
Thanks Boopka for posting this. A real use of the board's time and space would be a discussion on what Tom was able to gather from the company after the CC and ponder on the possibilities. I think it is very encouraging and the developments from the company will unravel soon for all to see.
I also think that we will get some additional commentary from the analysts and maybe an updated target price soon.
