AP Reuters............................Business News
In a rather startling news conference this morning called by Bob Zunbrusen of Investors Hub, a finance site on the internet, Mr. Zumbruden addressed his remarks to businessmen everywhere.
"We have uncontreversial evidence that the customer is NOT always right" said Mr. Zumbrunner.
Immediate reaction was predictable. Bob K. Selznick, spokesperson to the Director of the United States Chamber of Commerce was rather blunt in his assement stating; "Mr Zimbaumer is mad."
Mr. Zambrunner went on to explain that all messages from his customers are carefully archived and that an independent research firm has carefully examined the files on record and determined that Investors Hub has indeed, evidence that the long held truism "The customer is always right" has finally fallen to a true demonstration of folly...
"We have each and every message received from one of our customers that in every instance, the information, opinion, criticsm, "heads ups", answers, advice etc. of this one customer were wrong...every single one." said Mr. Zimbrunnen.
"There is a distinct possibility that this person is, so to speak, a mutation or "throwback" and the possibility of government intervention and sterilization of this individual could be implemented." said Mr. Zimmer.

I'm talking exact match plastic coil to the tubing in the frig. Copper is expensive and leaves blue stains from the get go. Fittings are brass and are essentially a coupling with identical sized brass nuts on each end.
Cut out the tank. Attach the resulting ends to the coil ends.

The water reservoir is located behind the vegetable bins in the refrigerator. There is a panel back there. It is there because it pre-cools the drinking water. Unfortunately, someone turned your thermostat up to 7 and it froze the refrigerator section just enough to burst the plastic reservoir.
Turning the thermostst up DOES NOT speed up the cooling process. It does make everything colder eventually. Get on the kids and check your frig setting when guests do the kitchen help thing preparing for holidays. Guests mess with everything from the frig and dryer to leaking faucets.
$80 is in the ball park because of low volume. However the proper cure forever is to get two couplings and put a coil of tubing back there. Throw the tank away. The coil acts as a cooling tank (albeit reduced capacity) and/but it will not burst when frozen. This is one of the fixes used by a large manufacturer. Snip a piece of the tubing off for show and tell, go to any hardware (preferably appliance parts store) and get 20 or so feet and two couplings. Cost $8.00 or less.
Coil the tubing tightly to fit and tie off with plastic tie-ties...insert...takes a few minutes.
If the refrigerator section is set mid-range, ditto the freezer...and the frig keeps freezing up, let me know and we will go from there.
Save the ruptured tank for 5 years in the garage and then throw away.

I feel like I am getting a lot more accomplished at IH. There is much less static at the stock sites, there are a lot of people with good leads and sources that share their toys, and this place is fast.fast.fast.

Like judd at RB...I am adamantly opposed to his religious beliefs and hammer at him all the time. I also go visit him often and help out about the farm/nursery. We DO NOT discuss religion. Hahahahahahahaaa...gotta keep message boards in perspective...full of steam.

IMGN is holding strong in a down market this morning with little volume...11.00 is about it. I have made money buying at 11.65. If you are patient. This is March of course. And in that vein, now would be a good time to load up. For one day it went below 10.00 a few weeks back.
If trials on drugs break out positive news of any sort it will shoot up to 15.00 easily. Once drugs are out of trials there is no looking back. How many more in the tubes waiting for trials? Lots.
It may have been over confidence on my part but I had about 1500 shares when it went under 10.00 and I was buying in at 10.20...this is why I did so well...got out above 12.00...nice week. Part of that was marginalized and I promptly disabled my margin. margin is what ruined me in CSCO and a few others.

NASCAR and similiar orgs. should take a page from the insurance actuary tables.
Insurance people laugh at 55 mph speed limits and gun-laws.
The actuary tables are pretty static.
NASCAR is going down a street with no exits and an eventual dead end.
In skydiving, we are at the end of improvements. When something as insignificant as a grommet design kills someone, we notify the manufacturer and they notify all owners. The U.S.Parachute Association does not then insist in a standardized grommet design for the whole industry.
This kind of think suppresses the sport, increases costs and drives people away.
The death rate holds steady at 30 people average a year out of 4,500,000 to 5,000,000 dives. Better than lightning. Better than bicycles, river rafting, motorcycles, automobiles etc. etc.
Actually, insurance for NASCAR drivers has a favorable premium...it isn't that dangerous from a 200 mph standpoint.
ola
excel..................................Chance?
You can throw all the money and black boxes at it you want. It is still going to happen. You can't legislate against chance, and at 200 mph., it is inevitable.

I took a young boy into downtown Honolulu to walk the streets and see the sights.
I got photos of him doing a hootchie kootchie in a grass skirt, climbing out of a limousine, being smooched up by prostitutes, with parrots climbing all over his person, lying on the ground getting a henna "Tattoo, standing in front of a Neon Marijuana Plant outside a "hemp" products store, etc.
He was enthralled. I had to slip everyone involved $20 for the photo-ops but he really got a taste of the slightly seamier side of Hawaii (Big Town) "strips".

I take on friend's kids for a few days at a time...It goes very well. The prime rule is "Don't do anything stupid" The only punishment is placing them on a grey dog for home, and alone.
I took a 14 year old on a cruise with me to Hawaii recently. I had to work of course, but the crew thought he was wonderful. He learned flag signals and morse code and the Captian gave him a letter of commendation. He is the most mature and only son of friends here in Oregon. I just told him not to fall overboard and then a 20 minute lecture on what it took to survive doing so. (happened to me once at night...interesting) He became the ubiquitous Philip...and welcome everywhere.

About 25 years ago, in the San Francisco Bay Area, I noticed a woman selling house plants at a Saturday flea market. She was doing great and I stopped, chatted and started to help her. By the end of the day I had all kinds of insights.
The next week I researched large greenhouse growing operations in the East Bay. I located the fellow selling wqaunties to Safeway type chains. On Friday, I went to a Used Truck lot and picked out a 2 1/2 long cube. Leaving my van as collateral and $20 for insurance I supposedly took it to my "mechanic" for an overnight check. I stopped at a junk yard and got old water pipe, which I cut to length, hung in the cube (for hanging plants) I then went to the volume wholesale greenhouse and asked the owner about price on 1000-6" plants. "$1.10" he said. I said, "How about 3000?" He said "$1.00"...I said, "How about if I take no sleeves (paper coverings) and load them myself?" He said 85 cents.
The Mexican help got passed a few J's and we got about 3300 plants loaded jiffy quick.
I wrote a bad check for some $2700.
The next morning I arrived at the Marin City Flea Market at 5:30 AM...I unloaded the truck, hired a boy to watch the plants, and headed madly back to the East Bay Used Truck lot where I turned in the truck, jumped in my van and drove madly back to Marin City. I sold hard all day...some of them were so beautiful they went for $7.00/ea. Spending the night Sat. in my van, I was up bright and early Sunday, spraying the plants, picking bad leaves and generally straightening up. By Sunday evening late, I was down to 100 plants which I began giving away to vendors about me and stragglers. I left there with none.
Monday morning I covered the bad check.
Cleared $7000

Correct...I can focus on one area of endeavor and make a killing. I just don't have the time for it in investment/or the interest. I don't find it really stimulating and I do find it significantly raises my tension levels.
Having a lot of money is a very low priority for Yours Truly

By the way, you have to understand, I have no bills, owe no money, have no mortgages, children, child support, life insurance, health insurance, alimony etc. and I make $10,000 to $12,000/mo when I CHOOSE to work. At 65 (3 years to go) I will receive a HUGE Social Security check monthly. I say HUGE because to me it is. To you, I am something out of a comic book. I don't mind. My whole life has been a comic book adventure.
ola
Matt
I guess I base my trades on my monthly "nut" which runs about $200-250/mo when not active.
If I am on the road, skydiving, occasional motel, my entire nut may run as high as $1500/mo.
When working it is about $80 to $100/mo. Thats everything...house expenses, storage, mail drop.
If I am house sitting somewhere it is about $400/mo.
Insurance is a negative.
If I am on unemployment I don't bother with the market. I can save 60 to 70% of my unemployment check, no problem.
The state of Oregon once sued me just for that...started a business on accumulated checks. I thought it was the epitome of ingenuity, the american way, the one good example.
The first 5 or 6 weeks the business brought in practically nothing so the checks covered the expenses. It took off, breaking even regularly, so I canceled the unemployment.
The government would rather you stay on unemployment.

Does your wife/friend call you IH for short?
When whispering sweet nothings does it come out ih?
When mad at you is it IH!
Fundamental analysis? accounting? or creative financing? Never had an interest and realize I could do a lot better if I knew what I was doing. My time and routine just SUDDENLY change. You are talking years of study.
I had a girlfriend, a tax accountant who proposed we open an office. I enrolled in a school for the apprenticeship side/with her as supervisor. This kind of thing really drags on my mind. Sorta like learning how to brush your teeth with your left hand in case you lose your right one.

I have posted a couple of posts to myself there recently and posted a couple of posts from POET that I thought might be deleted...they were. It is hard to remember the thread and converse accurately when someone keeps pulling your posts.
The "Free Speech" concept and "no taboo subjects" are still not the province of people still tainted by good old Queen Victoria.
However, getting back to IMGN...I saw a relevant post regarding the 60 cent to $1.00 swing. I use that to buy in and out. I am partially in now at 11.19 I got out recently at 12.11, 12.20 and 12.21...I was in as far back as 10.20!!!
I added 100 shares to my account in just 2 days. That was nice. The Lo/hi spread is just 30 to 40 cents right now. It is definitely headed back up to $13 I would say. The status quo is identical to just after the announcement two months ago. Nothing has changed. People are just manipulating this stock and I am going along for the ride. I have come to consider an investment in this stock would be a good bet for a retirement fund (I lurked that from PaulaGem at RB) I think she is right.

Yes, but I lurk mostly. SI, RB, Yahoo,
As to sophistication...none.
I winged it and lost quite a bit in the last 3 or 4 years. I had a lot to play with.
Money and I have a funny sorta relationship. If it gets over $40,000 or so, I kinda panic and try to get rid of it.
I do not enjoy the responsibilities of possessions, the care, maintenance and overlook/protection required. It is something akin to owning a cow. I like to just disappear and pop up house sitting in Whatchcallit Kansas for 5 weeks. Go out everyday, meet all the neighborhood cats, talk to everyone, enjoy coffee in a quiet sidewalk cafe. Nice black Pendelton hat, cashmere coat, casual pullover, levis and a pair of highly polished H&H handmade leather boots. Make a few small contributions ($50 or so) to organizations I see are accomplishing something in the community and then disappear one day.
When I work, there is nothing that needs care...I can work for as long as I like. Then I usually take a walking tour in some close by country or municipality...Hong Kong last time. Stayed at the Panda Hotel and hit the streets every morning. No plans are good plans. A bus or streetcar with an open door is an open door to new wonders. Who cares where they are going? I am just GOING when I go, and resting (now) when I rest.
