Agreed :)
That's for the NSF. Any of these grants ANYONE can apply for. With your logic, 3DIcon has a chance for $20 billion in grants just because they can apply for it. Solicitations are months are away why is 3DIcon announcing their intent to apply for these instead of applying and then announcing it?
Also, letters of interest, letter of intent are largely bogus at this phase. Boeing is basically saying that they will "assist" with 3DIcon as a practicing partner. Which means if 3DIcon has a item working, they'll test it out for them.
NASA SBIR Phase I grants are $50,000. NASA SBIR Phase II grants are $150,000:
http://sbir.gsfc.nasa.gov/SBIR/SBIR.html
The application dates are July - September 2011. The award announcements dates are in December. I don't see 3DIcon's name listed in the 2010 award date for the open solication.
My information comes from experience with NASA.
The only way for 3DIcon to get funding from NASA is through SBIR grants or SEED funding. I can tell you right now that NASA will not fund a pinksheets or bulletin board stock directly with SEED funding. If SpaceDev (look them up) could barely get fund and its entire business was geared toward space/aerospace, 3DIcon isn't going to get a billion dollars from NASA.
PVHO may be making a run right now
BIG jump today. Not sure. I don't expect really anything until next quarter or after.
Yeah it is. Looks like 200,000 shares bought in the last 20 minutes.
That's only NASA and Boeing (I imagine has a contract similar). The government doesn't just give out money for nothing, they want something in return. Like a venture capitolist, if they give you money to develop your idea or product, they're going to stake a claim in it. Except in this case, they get to use the product royalty free. It doesn't really take much to submit for a proposal. The point is, 3DIcon's target market isn't NASA and Boeing, its a wider audience. If 3DIcon wasn't hurting for $50 - $150,000 they wouldn't be trading at a few pennies.
Just to clarify, TDCP is seeking grant money from NASA and the NSF. Boeing is saying they're giving Letters of Intent (LOI) in the proposal phase. TDCP has to apply and win a Phase I ($50,000 grant) in order to get a Phase II ($150,000 grant) along with 100 other companies.
Just about anyone can apply for a NASA, NSF, DoD solicitation grant. By doing so, they give NASA and Boeing royalty-free use of the item forever. You won't hear any of these organizations announce anything until the grant is awarded. NASA's award dates are in December.
Mid-to-end of February.
Call Provision and find out. Their CEO is as helpful as he can be.
Also, I would expect it to go as planned and well. I don't think we're going to see any big boy takers on this just yet.
PVHO uptrending now?
LOL. I am sure Microsoft is saying the same thing.
....and ?
Obviously they make a great product much like PVHO that they can market and distribute.
Microsoft (a billion dollar company) has its XBox Kinect use it? Why can't PVHO?
PVHO is definately looking good. Definate uptrend up I'd say.,
PVHO is on a uptrend so I see us moving above $0.09 and above the 200MA. A update on the KODAK + Circle K deal would be great for the next quarter. New advertising deals announced. Also, new partnerships or potential mergers coming out would also be great going into spring.
Probably.
This is a long term play. It is not a trader. It is something that is going to have to develop to get investors and then get institutional investors. The product, the methodology all has to work. Which I believe is very good. I am a BIG FAN of stocks that don't get alot of press. Because once the big news comes, it comes hard, and I see PVHO as something that may get uplisted to the NASDAQ.
For a while, even when we had the big up in October, I said that we'll likely not get news or something really happening until next year (this year). I expect some update advertising wise end of the month January. I also expect updates on the KODAK + Circle K rollouts. Also, expect to hear advertising and Fortune 200/500 partners finalized.
If this was done nationally then yes a third-party report would make sense.
But since this was done with a handful of stores at the Grocery Network, I don't think it applies. Neither does the 170% increase. The increase was for the pizza chain resteraunt (or resteraunts) locally. Now if they sold 170% nationally, they would be extreme.
When you're a small store and operating, you see radically increases. My folks had a small ice cream shop, and during the winter business would decline 75% (pretty dramatic no?) (100-200) and coming into the summer business would increase 800% (1,000+). Yeah numbers sound dramatic. But remember that locally products are not branded and usually seasonal.
Maybe they do. Then again, they've done time lapsed stuff in the past and shown how their stuff works in the past and don't feel they need to keep "proving" themselves.
When the Case Study is up and ready to read then we can find out more.
170% is a heck of a good increase but attributed to sales/advertising. Maybe its not solely PVHO that helped them increase sales. I'm sure there's other things attributed to it as well. If the chain had specials and what not, that would boost sales.
You have to remember that PVHO helped a local (national recognized) pizza chain. The advertising coupons are not in all the stores across the USA.
PVHO helped several stores increase 170%
If this was on the national scale, yes I'd agree it would be too dramatic.
Yeah PVHO is definately looking good.
Disagree. 65% increase is above mediocre during a sales/advertising campaign.
I don't think 170% is at all out of the question given the stats on digital signage v. non-digital signage and 3D signage v. 2D signage. Although I'll agree that 70% is the norm, I don't think 2x or 2.5x more than the norm is at all unreasonable.
digital signage performs better than regular signage.
3D signage peforms BETTER than 2D signage.
PVHO's case studies before shows their signage did some better.
If the national food chain was running a campaign and PVHO was involved, I don't see how 170% increase is out of the question.
Remember, they're a winner :)
Yeah, they just announced yesterday recieving a U.S. patent.
News about the Kodak and Circle K rollout should be coming out.
No problems. PVHO with its Kodak and Fortune 500 company news won't need to worry :)
Could very well be. PVHO has A LOT going for itself. But this help solidifies them.
Thanks.
PVHO needs better IR in my opinion. Otherwise this would fly like Superman.
News update about their Kodak + Circle K deal should do VERY good.
Nice start looking north, maybe we can bust through the 200MA this time ;)
PVHO just announced new awarded U.S. Patent today.
PVHO up 18% on US patent news! KODAK + Circle K $9 - $21 million advertising revenue deal rolling out!
PVHO >> THEY GOT THE PATENT! NEW ISSUED U.S. PATENT TODAY!
Good stuff :)
Yes. There is news to be reported, I wrote about this months ago. The big thing is getting the Eastman Kodak and Circle K deal reported on. It is happening immediately and they're doing the rollout. So I wouldn't expect much action here until the end of the month. Or sooner possibly. So in the short term, that will be news when hearing about.
Remember that the company has limited resources so it has to pick and choose which partnerships they want to follow up on and which ones they want to push aside. The Kodak/Circle K deal is worth $9 to $21 million in advertising revenue per year. From there, they can grow and get into a Walgreens or Wally World with 5000 stores in it.
Good stuff here ;)
Good thing I got on this a month ago.
Thanks for the info.
Like I mentioned before, if they had a positive book value, cash flow, and all that this stock would likely be on the NASDAQ by now. It is true that they don't have it - yet. But they're featured in the Wall Street Journal, Thompson Reuters, Hudson Square Research, etc. with alot of promise. Like all companies there is some risk. I bought Ford a few years ago when F was trading at $1. Back when everyone said it was going into bankruptcy. I took a look at it, evaluated it, and its products in the future and thought it was VERY undervalued.
PVHO has Gil Amelio, former Apple, Inc. CEO, current board member of AT&T onboard. In addition, they have a very responsible share stucture with 100M AS, 50M OS and 20M Float. It isn't a Cord Blood America share structure with billions of shares out there.
Here is their deal:

KODAK and Provision: "A Success Story"
http://www.provision.tv/plugins/tinymce/plugins/filemanager/files/oct_2010_pvhokodak_case_study.pdf
Good for Provision, that's for sure. PVHO isn't selling TVs. If you read in the Wall Street Journal, the CEO Curt says that they aren't going to compete against Panasonic, Samsung, etc. for the TV home consumer market. Which I thought was very smart while others didn't. Everyone says that 3D in theaters is the new norm but I just see it as a gimmick. It needs to be glasses-free first (in theaters) before its the norm. Right now people are too use to seeing 2D images and I think it'll take some adjusting time to want to sit through a 2 hour movie in 3D. Especially in your home.
To be honest, Provision is hitting a good market. They're hitting the consumer at the grocery store, convenience store, etc. Where they look at the 3D picture for 30 seconds. It attracts the consumer, entices them since the tech is new and then is able to deliver the advertisement to them.

Not bad article. Pretty cool :)
