If this was done nationally then yes a third-party report would make sense.
But since this was done with a handful of stores at the Grocery Network, I don't think it applies. Neither does the 170% increase. The increase was for the pizza chain resteraunt (or resteraunts) locally. Now if they sold 170% nationally, they would be extreme.
When you're a small store and operating, you see radically increases. My folks had a small ice cream shop, and during the winter business would decline 75% (pretty dramatic no?) (100-200) and coming into the summer business would increase 800% (1,000+). Yeah numbers sound dramatic. But remember that locally products are not branded and usually seasonal.
