SPIN,
i'm the cat, but again i believe my colleague btk abuses the possesive when referring to me.
i'm pretty sure i'm toast here in the absence of a subscription.
seems matt doesn't like the smell of fish, and i just can't help myself, a bit of hamachi just can't be resisted.
i actually talk other stocks, i just use different aliases in different venues.
seems using a fixed alias focuses one on the messenger and not the message.
i figure wave will ride the SEC thing out o.k., but it is not without risk.
the stickler is going to be selling and *then* correcting the errors of external press as opposed to correcting the errors of external press and *then* selling. in any event, they sold after they released news, and they did not buy in front of the news.
and heck, the chairman is in the red on his last open market buy of, what, 150k shares?
but seeing the last round of financing appears to be a stop-gap measure, this make sit all dicier going forward for the next dip into private markets.
gosh matt,
seems my last offer was less than you were looking for,
i figured not posting on the wavx board was a reasonable idea.
i'm starting to warm up to you matt, you being the strong silent type and all.
but i'm not sure what you are looking for?
so WAVX insiders dump a million
shares into a pair of PRs after it circulating around the company that an options excersise would be good for the company treasury.
does anybody else remember it any differently?
so, are the statements in the 2 PRs accurate? the INTC looks solid, the IBM is sloppy .... and then the broader press started saying "embed wave tech" when the reality of PR #2 was simply for wave to say that their software worked with an ATML chip the IBM was using (a standard puff piece from a financially strapped company).
words like "partnership", "embedded", and evenutally "bundled" are obviously a source for concern.
while the wave PR looks more or less o.k., the episode as a whole is another example of pimply-faced wanks masquerading as corp execs.
but was the massive and obviously well timed insider dump (equiv to ~2% dilution) insider trading based on an anticipated news related spike?
hopefully wave can sort this out with hiring too many new lawyers.
idiots.
sorry wrong connection first time, heck i was speaking to myself.
not sure if that was for the first time.
http://www.investorshub.com/boards/read_msg.asp?message_id=1947603
i've asked for a tou violation example, and have recieved none, so yea, i've been a butthead.
but i am a butthead.
i am me.
but i think on my own feet, i stay on topic, i don't call people names, i don't attack their motives. i go after their content.
o.k., i did run amok tou w/regards to a temper tantrum as a result of a personal threat to me and my family intiated by one essentially "looking like" awkuhn who has somehow accessed details of mine not legally availble.
so i asked you to (or o.k. so i demanded you) delete me as a security measure.
if you feel you booted me for tou it is news to me. i thought my creating a new handled weeks or months after asking for the last one to be deleted was in compliance with the rules.
but yes, my berating of weby, awkuhn and snackman was off-topic and hence a tou violation.
i stand by those statements. weby and snackman are on the record for calling for and prosecuting efforts to "out" long-term posters who don't agree with their views and calling for investigations into their identities for the purposes of publicizing them.
so call me a butthead for finding that to be a bit weak (o.k., so maybe hugely cowardly is a better description).
but again, you want a reason? it is this:
i stay on topic,
i question dogma,
i admit defeat when presented with a clear case,
i stir the pot,
and i rarely insult people at the level i am insulted,
and frequently take the back of the new guy getting hammered by the status quo.
but am i a butthead, yea, i think so.
edit: buttheqad is not a tou violation and three and out.
HhH, the 'aid is cloudin' the visors
o.k., so the bulgaria thing was a poor effort, but please would they spare me the high horse "everybody is so insulted thing". heck, they called my partner btk "*evil*" ...
let me spell that again matt, "*evil*", for asking questions about the relationship between a board long who had used the board (RB) to *advertise* a business relationship with Wave about the results of *that same* business relationship and as to whether it did or did not pertain to public SEC statements.
evil indeed.
wouldn't the world be better without lying cowards like my colleague btk.
i just peaked into the s&m manual, "'evil' is not an insult, it is well considered statement when derived from a premium subscriber"
thanks for the clarification matt
ok matt lets try this,
you restore me to 3 posts a day, and i i'll never post on the wave board for the duration of the agreement, that is until the agreement is mutually amended between you a human, and me a feline.
respectfully,
btk's cat.
were it not for me both
wavx share price and wavx related ihub revs would be higher ... at least i think that is what s&m are saying
edit * oh yea, and three and out
to all, sadly it is the case that
i was recently captured ...
so, can i get broadband in guantonamo?
SPIN, not really,
btk has a tendency (in his frequent bouts of megalomania) to use the possessive when referring to me, its really not the case.
perhaps a partnership is a better explanation.
i think matt has me on ignore
so it goes.
i have it on good authority that
btk requested/demanded that his account be deleted as a function of the deliberate and stated unethical (and perhaps criminal) behavior of one of your board leaders and his henchman.
my understanding is that you complied in a timely fashion (and i commend you for that).
but seriously, is it not a contortion of facts to air that you have previously terminated or suspended btk?
i trust one is not fantasizing about slaying dragons or other such things
i actually thought using the same IP and using the same surname in the contact e-mail was a pretty obvious indication to you who i was and an effort to not be disingenuous.
still ready and perky for some sort of evidence of a violation of tou
so spit it out,
why am i here?
24901,
i don't know a thing about citrix + nt.
is msft sending money to citrix?
am i?
what is citrix?
is citrix getting $30 a seat?
i think you are assuming i know something about citrix+nt that i do not (which is easy as i know nothing).
snackman,
sorry,
i bought a suite of software services about a decade ago that had a device we placed between the keyboard and the computer that was required for function. it was a decoding key of sorts. this was on the mac platform.
i told the guy installing the stuff i thought it was the wave of the future and that i like investing in such things. he mentioned a company called alladin that made these kinds of things. i invested in alladin. while invested i heard about wave. i sold my alladin after a share price spike i believe to be related to the selling of wave by alladin. i sold becuse of the spike and that the decoder, etoken, wasn't seeming to gain traction. but in the course of that i came across itru. itru doesn't trade anymore. i bought itru during the bubble, lost all my gains but was saved by some stops i thought would never happen.:)
i bought itru again when it held at $1 for no apparent reason and happily bagged the 4-bagger on the sony takeover.
wave kept coming up but i never dug in because they never seemed to have any traction.
so now i'm digging because i want to see of they are gaining some traction.
they look a lot like itru and good for a 4 bagger of there is really something there.
as for the rest.
no.
i will not give you information about my assets, my goals in life, or the nature and structure of any past affiliations i may have had with and people or peoples.
is this standard policy to ask this?
where i come from it is rude to ask these things.
why not imbed emb-os into office?
how about because msft doesn't want intruders into its cash cow?
how about msft plans to do it themself?
how about because people are not in business to make money, thay are in business to make more money?
what am i missing?
snackman
it is not my argument, it is doma's
doma said usage doesn't matter cause wave gets paid either way
i was just discussing domas point
it seems we've all decided domas point was a poor one
you are entirely correct
if wave starts pulling $30 a board
the 50 cents a board won't matter.
or course, if wave pulls a million a board, the $30 won't matter either.
i think i've got the math part figured out.
precicely zen 88
if the range is set at 0.50-1.0 as in the latest cc,
then it is impossible to assume that intc did not get the best deal available, and hence, 0.50. add to that the fact that intc was bundling the wave stuff that wave is pinning its hopes on, and i would expect the number to be really much more like the 0.2 or 0.3, heck, there was a day when companies paid for this "opportunity".
the intc thing is a good thing. it is the only thing that i can see. i have difficulty seeing how it makes this a billion dollar company in reality.
but i am warming up to a well hedged gambit at half a billion.
but people here have made me question the wisdom of that.
i was there for iomega.
emanshute
i quoted the ceo as of a public statement he made on november 13th 2003. you quoted him 3 months earlier. to dispute my quote you are asking me to email him for an amendement to his public statement that is not yet a month old.
so, what changes so fast? nothing.
but you are hoping or thinking that an email to the ceo will create a change in a forward looking statement withing 4 weeks of its release. i call that changing fast.
do you?
i would be less comfortable with the company if the guidance were different today than from a cc that is not even a month old.
zen88
i think i understand what you are saying,
the thread began when doma said this:
"cause there is no other software to make use of the
security the TPM provides & besides Wave gets paid if
you use it or don't!"
and the notion that wave gets paid either way seemed to imply wave was in a safe haven.
my dd or my reading of others dd here and my own dd has indicated that the "Wave gets paid if
you use it or don't!" component is useless to the valuation of wave and will likely never even pay a salary much less a bonus.
so the issue of activation came up and doma said nobody would buy a board without activating, and i said plenty of people buy boards to be cautious and listed the failed efforts of weitek and vesa as examples as they both were installed on many boards.
i get the business plan.
it just seems that doma doesn't or has a different vision
emanshute
i dont have his email
it doesn't matter
neither amount makes the company attractive
i thought the q3cc was pretty recent
has it changed that fast?
gokitesurf,
the topic was this:
“If you don't use Wave's software why would you buy
a board with a TPM?” (direct quote from doma)
i tried to stay on that topic
his question was, if i can paraphrase:
“why would a person buy a mobo with a new gadget on it if they didn’t immediately plan to use the only service supposedly available for that gadget”
and I said:
“to use somebody elses (sic) software?
to not buy some hardware that will become obsolete immediately?
i bought pci m/b one day, didn't have a single pci device.
i did eventually.
none of those devices were made by the first movers of pci.”
it was not an ignorant post as you state
it was a reasoned answer.
i knew dozens of people that made sure the machines they were outfitting had a weitek coprocessor socket.
people try to take reasonable precautions when they buy mobos.
my pci precaution was a good one
my vesa lb precaution was a poor one, as was my weitek precaution.
i didn’t buy a weitek processor
i didn’t buy a vesa daughterboard and
i probably won’t buy wave’s “services”
but if i buy a mobo tomorrow it positively will have a tpm module.
get it?
in the context of a clear linear consideration of why one might buy a piece of hardware you decided to say this:
“Wave is not building the motherboard so your comparison of hardware devices and their builder's life-cycle makes no sense since Wave's product being licensed for the motherboard is software to make the motherboard have a function and be worthwhile.”
i said nothing about wave “building the motherboard”
the topic was motherboard purchases
i said nothing about “builder’s life-cycle”
i spoke towards purchasing motivation as that was the topic
i can’t understand your assertion of how motherboard purchasing “makes no sense” if wave’s product is “being licensed for the motherboard”
apples and oranges?
emanshute,
i said i was quoting from q303
you wandered to q203
i thought q303 was more recent
you ignored my diligent reference
you substituted your own
i asked snackman for a link contrary to the ceo’s statements
i’m glad you found one for him (but it is a quarter older)
i only asked for a reference that contradicted the ceo reference i gave, apparently that contradiction is provided by the ceo.
i take that as a refining downwards of the basic royalty, that the ceo modified statements in subsequent quarters.
i hold to the notion that the mobo’s are worth around 0.5-1.0 per unit.
i can’t see a reason to state 0.5 unless it was real.
can you?
and my quote is accurate as referenced:
q303 as per “unclevername” ceo’s initial remarks:
(moving to the 16th paragraph of what were probably prepared remarks)
The next major goal for Wave and something I believe we will have a much better touch on in both in this quarter and next quarter, is an understanding of the services business model and sort of scope of adoption. We have a tremendous product in that market. We're getting really good feedback that our key management product is a product that people are demanding, that they need, that they have real pain for. But we’re still in the early stages. The understanding of what ultimately the business model will be on that, how that business model that we’ve articulated to them ultimately gets adopted and how it is scaled, I think we’ll begin to have better picture on over the course of the next four to six months. And ultimately that drives a much larger scale of revenue. We make $.50 or a dollar per platform for bundled software, we believe we can make 20 or $30 a year off of the services relationship with an end user desktop. So obviously, what percentage of the market takes and needs those kinds services, how we protect that kind of economic and revenue stream, is going to be very important to the company. One of our next major goals is to really establish that less as theory and more as fact. And I think we’re well on the path to do that. And we’re going to do that hand-in-hand with our major customers who are helping us take and promote these products to market.
that is what i quoted, that is what i referenced, that is what the reference said.
i simply asked for an updated reference and i get:
“inaccurate quoting”
“ignorant post”
“whatever”
nice crowd
i am quoting the cc
to use somebody elses software?
to not buy some hardware that will become obsolete immediately?
i bought pci m/b one day, didn't have a single pci device.
i did eventually.
none of those devices were made by the first movers of pci.
snackman, i was just reading what you said to read:
"We make $.50 or a dollar per platform for bundled software"
sks q303 cc as per "unclevername"
if you have a real link and reference for the .50-1.50 claim of yours i would be happy to read it.
wave gets around 50 cents a board according to the ceo
is that what you are calling "payed if you use if or don't!"?
hhh i already scanned it and the claims are clearly a mess
but messes are everywhere
i see you post on another board but i don't know what who or what alea and all that is
what is it?
my review of the links you suggested indicated what you say is not true. wavx technology is not on the board as you say, unless i am reading wrong.
am i mistaken?
is this board another wavx board?
hhh responded to me on the wavx board and clicking on hhh shows hhh often posts here
why two boards?
the other responders seem to only post on the wavx board
seems wavx is doomed to be crushed by msft and intc and vrsn and everybody else
can they really get a niche before it implodes?
really, can they get a niche before it implodes?
this is a kinetic arguement. they seem to have no protected ip that i can see.
that is what i did
that is what prompted the questions
actually it took me a few days, not just a day
is the shock and awe campaign over?
has wave express worn out its promise?
moreover, did wave express warrant the appointment of a new high-flying ceo?
what does all this rand mean?
the company won’t say, i asked.
do i have the rest of this correct,
the plan was to sell a proprietary hardwired chip-applet combo for metering,
then it was a plan to sell a proprietary chip (the embassy chip) that others could run an open solution on (java),
and then it was or is a plan to sell a proprietary solution (embassy os) that will run on others open chips (tpms)?
where is all the open interoperability that badge mentions?
how could it possibly serve this company at this time?
no news djx
the chairman just bought in big
not something to do just before news
would look bad
chairman buy bullish longer term bearish shorter term
look for price erosion
i heard it was 30 cents per board
hi, this is the most active board on ihub
it looks like the company released an awful qtr report and is being punished for it
is there any reason to be interested in this company?
what's all this tcg intc talk?
are there any terms to any deal available?
there was some talk of rand, does tcg rand block big pricing?
there is talk of deals, nsm, intc, is there any indication of the terms of those deals, any at all?
looks like 100m sh. outstanding in the near future.
at a buck that's a billion.
what makes this a billion or 2 billion company?
it looks like there is a bundled cd, is that what this is all about, a bundeled cd is going to be worth billions?
lots and lots of messages, it is hard to sift.
could you link me to an ihop synop?
could msft get a whole renewal cycle out of the security intitiative?
is intc-msft WINTEL still alive for that extra run?
i've heard longhorn, nscub, lagrande, is this the new full replacement cycle?
love this stock
treated me well
just trying to decide if i should run
in at 4
can't beleive the run
always thought it was there
its time for real projections
what are the revs 5 years down the line?
