It has been a while since I have posted here. Frankly I had become quite disgruntled over the UPZS situation and needed to walk away for a while. I had intended on taking a trip out to the Hemet area to check on the "store" but have failed to do so for now.

I do have a couple of questions in regards to those that listened to the CC. I was just wondering if anyone could share this information with me.

1. Are restricted shares being sold and at what price and by
who? I am asking this because last time this happened the
share price fell to the discounted price.
2. When do the previous "restricted" shares become
unrestricted.
3. Did FC host this CC?

It is my understanding that GH and JV are still good friends. I have reliable sources but for now I will say IMO... SLON's CEO no longer deals with Fountain Capital in any aspect to my knowledge - IMO a good company will distance themselves from questionable business partners. For the record this is NOT an endorsement for SLON either. Don't know what they are currently doing but the best thing they ever did was to cut any ties with FC IMO.

For the record, I met GH and JV about a year ago at the speedway here in California. It really looked like UPZS had their stuff together. I would have sworn on it at the time. I bought almost all of my stock through Fountain Capital either prior to that event or shortly afterwords - at a discount. I was not alone. I know people that were buying $ $40,000.00 to $80,000.00 at approximately .05 per share. I don't know if any of them have sold any of it to date. I do know that people are very frustrated at this point. After observing for over a year and watching the way FC handles issues (including a personal experience) I don't trust them. I currently don't trust JV either. He has continually lied and given misinformation. There are a ton of people that bought due to claims of projected store openings, promised financials, web page and just lack of information missing, (ex Harvard Square loss not being put in "the big letter") and Mr Carroll (sp) moving on. Many good people have invested in UPZS I know a few. Way to many inconsistent statements and questionble moves.

So like many others i watch and i wait. I would have never cconsidered selling any of my shares before. If the prices hit my range, I will flip this faster than Cher does husbands. I will dump ALL my shares and buy back in at a later date. Once JV can prove that he has what it takes and comes clean in regards to AF's etc.

Meanwhile......GH of FC is still a pal of JV. Kinda makes you wonder. Anyone with any credibility distances themself from FC. Of course what credibility does JV currently have??????

I noticed that there was no direct mention of the West Covina store in the letter to shareholders. Although they did mention Kevin Serrano(sp). I did stop by the location this weekend to check up on things. The property owner had left a legal notice to the previous tenents to either pay or vacate the premises. I am sure they are just going through the proper legal maneuvers at this point but I was told that originally that the lease was already signed with UPZS.

I started calling when they failed to follow through on promises.

I am not sure we have seen the worst of this yet. If this company fails it will be due to poor management decisions and nothing else.

From what i understand there were more than a few people that were flown in to try the pizza. For the record, I was not one of them. I believe that it was based on bringing in a certain amount of shareholders(via FC)and then being entered into a raffle to make one of these trips. TamieJulian was not the only one flown in (and this might not have been the case with her).

What I find very funny is that like UPZS once someone starts asking questions she has disappeared or has been unresponsive.

I drove by the West Covina location. i have not seen any activity (at least curbside) as of yet

I wanted to cross check sources because the word of JV alone is pretty much worthless based on his inability to tell the truth.

I went by the West Covina location yesterday to see if anything had been done and I hadn't seen any changes.

I respectfully disagree in regards to the freeway. A lot will depend on their delivery range. Pomona, San Dimas, Covina and Baldwin Park (to name a few) are less than 10 minutes from that location which would otherwise be off limits (if it was all side street driving). You don't see a ton of pizza delivery guys on the 10 freeway because the shop locations are heavily concentrated in most neighborhoods. Because of this location Unique could do a huge volume without having a store on every corner.

One thing is for certain neither of us will be correct if they don't open this store.

It is not a great shopping center but I couldn't disagree more on strategic location. It is almost right on top of the 10 fwy. As I stated before the freeway gives them a lot of access to different parts of West Covina in a very short range. This location is going to be about pickup or delivery even though they will have a seating area. Furthermore, if the food is good people will go to the shopping center - for the food.

My favorite pizza place is located in a terrible neighborhood and in a terrible location. Because the food is great people have frequented this place for over 45 years and business continues to thrive while every other business in that shopping center has failed and been replaced by other business ventures that fail and move on. So it is not the shopping center it is about the food.

If Unique is good as I keep hearing this location will do very well.

No news to report otherwise. i went by there yesterday.

Well I hope that things go smoothly. I see a lot of potential out here for conversions. IMO If they can get this mastered and the permitting process goes well there is huge market out here waiting for a good pizza.

My hope is that UPZS would continue to focus on these type of "conversion" locations.

I stopped in on the West Covina location to see if there was any activity taking place. Nobody was there but the curtain blocking my view last time was slightly open so I was able to see inside. The place is not real big inside but they could fit at least 10 to 15 tables in the area that I was able to see. I noticed that the address right next to it was also vacant. Currently it looks like this was a former pizza shop that went out of business so this would definitely be a conversion. I don't think it would take much to convert this place at all. It looks like they have a nice counter area and very nice hardwood floors.
The area itself is older and there are residential areas including aprtments relatively close. The neighborhood itself is probably lower middle class for California. I think this will do very well for deliverly and takeout for the reasons I stated before.

I say "big screen tv" because I wasn't quite sure how many they were talking about putting in. They may have more than two.

From what I understand it it going to be a nice sized place including a big screen tv and a liquor license (not verified yet).

I forgot to mention that I heard they are talking to a big name athlete in Detroit who is interested in opening stores.

Excellent!!!!! Thanks for posting the pictures. I grew up in the area so I know it very well. In that area there are car dealerships, shopping centers, and a large residential area. The fact that the shop is very close to the freeway will give them access to a larger section of West Covina. I am very happy because I work less than 10 minutes away from there. As things progress I will take a few pictures and give some updates.

The way I look at it now is that any progress is good.

So the shop in West Covina is going to happen?

JV controls a major portion of the shares so in reality it is hard to predict what will happen. It doesn't take a whole lot of volume for the price to move.

There are also things going on that are very positive that have not been publicized via press releases so your best bet is to try and contact UPZS.

As soon as I can confirm info on the possible West Covina store I will post that information here.

Yesterday when I got the news about the West Covina CA store I was also told that restricted shares could stil be purchased at .05 per share. I started laughing about it and said "why would I want to buy restricted shares when I can buy "unrestricted" shares at an all time low?"

It got pretty quiet.

I still haven't sold a single share. I'm a little bit dsigusted with the communication at this point but I will sit and wait it out. Good things are happening but but apparently very few are talking.

Interesting..... I was just told that a lease was signed by Kevin Serrano(sp) for a Unique Pizza location in West Covina, California. That would in theory put it ahead of any release in San Diego. I have not verified this as of yet with UPZS. If this is in fact true, this is really good news to me because I am less than 10 minutes from there. I have no further information at this time so I can't answer any questions. Kevin might be able to answer questions if any of you know how to get in touch with him.

In my opinion people associated with UPZS have been "saying" things all along. It doesn't necessarily mean that anything was worked on it at all. Even CC's didn't necessarily keep them accountable to telling the truth.

And yes they do show a complete lack of respect.

Info is appreciated. I wish they would have just been honest in regards to the web page. I believe they knew this quite some time ago and never bothered to be up front about it.

I called the UPZS "auditor" a few days ago and asked him a couple of questions because I wanted some clarification. Here is what I concluded from talking with him.

It is my understanding that there is no minimum share price requirement of $1.00 to be listed on the BB. I was under the impression from the conference calls that the share price had to be at a $1.00 to trade on the BB. Did I miss something???????

Auditing only takes about two weeks.

It is my opinion that the only thing holding up the audit is the merger.

Any thoughts?????

Skunksyard have you tried calling them? I haven't had any luck in getting responses to my calls. It would be interesting to hear why they haven't given any press releases on "real" store openings. Could there be more stores in the works that are happening that we are unaware of and that they might eventually do a blitz on pr's? Right now it appears to me to be willfull failure.

Management has been less than honest in the past and has now failed to publicize openings. Lack of communication, misleading statements, and the fact that they have been in bed with Fountain Capital doesn't help. They look like a bunch of incompetent amateurs. IMO

I would have to say I feel foolish in ever dealing with FC. I don't trust them nor do I presently see any merit in JV's comments. He has either been inaccurate and/or dishonest or worse - incompetent. He may know pizza and football but I am not sure what else he knows. Frankly I don't even know why I am calling UPZS because even if they caled me back I'm not sure there would be a whole lot of accuracy or honesty. So in reality I might as well be asking OJ Simpson if he is guilty.
