Maddog;
Yeah, Let's do lunch at Rosslyn sometime later this week or early next week.
When is good for you?
Jason
Maddog;
I'm watching this now in IHUB. Just want to keep up on the news. Call me sometime.
Jason
noone;
Haven't logged in since I sold and I personally know Maddog. Wanted to see his post about SH Meeting. Probably won't be logging in again.

Maddog;
Good post. It reconfirms my decision of selling out in August (should have sold in July). This whole debacle has left a bad taste in my mouth. I'm just sorry for all the loses for myself and everyone else that invested (gave away) their money in this so called company. Wish I could have been there at the SH Meeting but I am the lone person in the office this week as everyone else is TDY to you-know-where.
Jason
P.S. Rugged Pirate was right on the money.
Mike;
I like your investment philosophy. In and out. It will be a long time again before I hold long on any penny stock. Better to make a little here and there than blow the bank on one long shot.
Thanks for the tips and advice...
Jason
All;
I'm new here on this board. With the bankruptcy in progress, why would anyone want to trade this stock? What would make trading this a "good" thing? I'm not being funny, just want to know what the upside and downside risks are.
J

I really became disheartened with MOBL recently. I have had a few days to cool off and consider myself so stupid for having invested in MOBL long term. NEVER AGAIN. I am going to trade this as the opportunity arises.
I have enjoyed you posts and agree that there should be a PR coming out soon regarding the Sale of Kite to Gobility and the way ahead.
I enjoy this forum and I am going to start getting myself more knowledgeable from the great info you have on this discussion group.
Jason
Everyone;
After selling my MOBL position last week, I will tell all that it has brought peace of mind to know that my remaining $20K is safe in a money market fund. This has been the happiest weekend in a LONG time. It took a lot to pull the plug but I'm glad I did. I don't see any upside to this stock in the foreseeable future and it may take several years for anything else in MOBL to come to fruition.
All in my opinion. I'm doing well after the MOBL fiasco. I would like to hope I'm wrong and I wish everyone here success in their future investment endeavors.
Jason
All;
I sold my position in MOBL today and I am moving on. It's been an interesting 3 years. I wish everyone good luck. I would agree with Mike that you shouldn't try the long approach with penny stocks. This is my opinion only from what I've learned with MOBL.
I do hope others will make some money within the next 3 or 4 months.
Good luck all!!

Crashman;
It was me. I'm out of this mess.
Jason
Crashman;
I believe it is in the later part of September (September 20,2007 I remember reading somewhere).
I'm not sure about this though.
Jason
Stockdoc;
We've all learned a hard lesson. I know it is not good form to discuss actual dollars but I will. I'm currently down $86,000.00. Initial investment of $106,000 and now currently worth about $20,000.
It has been a hard lesson for me as I have ALWAYS been very conservative in my investment strategy. I am not a day trader and got carried away with all the hype also. My average share price is $ 0.0753 per share. Fortunately I have other investments to sustain me but I DON'T like to loose money.
My advice to anyone considering purchasing penny stocks.
1) Be able to afford the loss - fortunately I can - This doesn't mean I like it ;-(
2) Don't invest more than $5 K - $10 K MAX in one individual penny stock even if you COULD afford to loose more. Most folks probably shouldn't invest more than a few hundred bucks in one.
Someone at Cornell has bought a nice new car on the money I lost (at least on paper) in this mess...
Jason
Stockdoc;
I got a reply from Jay. Here is my question and response. Basically he just says wait for the upcoming annual meeting for more information.

Answer
We will look at acquisitions as we always have. More
information will be disclosed at our upcoming annual
meeting.
Crashman/Stockdoc, et. al.,
If Jay leaves do you think this will have an overall positive impact on MOBL pps. Seems like we're starting all over with an unknown at this point.
Jason
Thanks;
If I get a response... I'll post it to the board
Jason
Does anyone know Jay Wright's e-mail address, I know it has been published before here but I wanted to send him an e-mail.
J
Crashman;
I may have missed something somewhere along the way but where have we come up with the fact that MOBL is going to abandon the Telecom market and look for a new business venture? The only person who has mentioned this was the report from Tobin Smith (that I’m aware of). How does he know this? Did he get some special insight from Jay Wright? Since Jay is keeping mum on a lot of things, why would he mention this to Tobin Smith?
I’m not trying to be difficult but this doesn’t make sense to me. I would be interested on your/others perspective on this.
J
I'd be passed out right beside you Rob75...
NO
I feel that stockdoc has been pretty honest with everyone. His frustrations have come through on a few post but we're all frustrated. I've never gotten the feeling that he or Crashman are pumpers. He and Crashman should stay.
J
Rob75;
I read an article several days ago about the teaming of Sprint and Clearwire. They are taking a different approach than the other big Telecom players who are buying lots of air wave bandwidth in an upcoming government auction. They are trying to use their existing infrastructure and use this teaming agreement to expand their reach and revenues. Some of the analysts said it was a riskier approach but the payout could be much more.
J
In a reverse merger what happens to our share count. If I have a 100 shares of MOBL and we go through with a reverse merger what would be the end count? I know this all depends onwhat valuations are given to the companies but I was just wondering about the mechanics of a reverse merger.
J
Think this means we'll make payments starting in January with cash. If a legal opinion says that Cornell can issue stock in lew of getting cash payments in January, then the'll start selling stock on September 1, 2007. MOBL management must be sure that the Sale of Close call is going to happen by then.
That's my take.
The Company shall make weekly scheduled payments (“Scheduled Payments”) consisting of at least $125,000 of principal, commencing with the first Scheduled Payment which shall be due and payable on January 1, 2008. Interest payments on the outstanding principal balance hereof shall be due and payable with the principal payment installments above (accruing from the date hereof in accordance with the terms of the Convertible Debentures); provided that subject to Cornell Capital and/or the Company receiving a legal opinion that it can sell shares of the Company’s Common Stock under Rule 144 of the Securities and Exchange Commission (the “Commission”), the Company shall exercise conversions of the outstanding Convertible Debentures commencing on September 1, 2007 at the Payment Conversion Price set forth herein in the maximum amount permitted in accordance with the volume limits under Rule 144 to the extent that they apply and equal to the Scheduled Payments to the extent that such volume limits do not apply. Upon exercise of such conversions by the Company, Cornell Capital may commence sales of the Company’s Common Stock to reduce the outstanding principal and interest due under this Debenture. The Company shall have the right to make each Scheduled Payment in shares of Common Stock, which shares shall be valued at the lower of the Conversion Price then in effect or a price equal to a seven percent (7%) discount to the average of the two lowest daily volume weighted average prices of the Common Stock as quoted by Bloomberg, LP for the five (5) trading days immediately following the Scheduled Payment date (the “Payment Conversion Price”), provided that such shares are either (i) freely tradeable under Rule 144 of the Commission, (ii) registered for sale under the Securities Act of 1933, or (iii) freely tradeable without restriction in the hands of the Holder. All payments in respect of the indebtedness evidenced hereby shall be made in collected funds (unless paid in shares of Common Stock) and shall be applied to principal, accrued interest and charges and expenses owing under or in connection with this Debenture in such order as the Holder elects, except that payments shall be applied to accrued interest before principal. Notwithstanding the foregoing, this Debenture shall become due and immediately payable, including all accrued but unpaid interest, upon an Event of Default (as defined in Section 3.01 hereof). Whenever any payment or other obligation hereunder shall be due on a day other than a business day, such payment shall be made on the next succeeding business day. Time is of the essence of this Debenture. The Company shall be permitted to prepay any amounts owed under this Debenture if the price of the shares of the Company’s Common Stock is less than $0.275 per share and also may, at its option, increase any scheduled payment to $750,000 (payable in cash or Common Stock as set forth above) without incurring any penalties or fees. Nothing contained in this paragraph shall limit the amount that the Holder can convert at any time.
I'm the same. I am waiting until sometime after Aug 15 to see about the next step in the deal with Gobility. I think there is the issue of the $3,000,000 we've all had a question about. I really do believe as others have posted that this is a reverse merger in the works.
Just have to gut it out and hold on. I've even had a wild thought to buy another million shares but don't tell my wife, she'd kill me for sure... ;-}
J
Rob;
Having read every attachment to the 8k, I would have to agree. I think this is just spelling out what we already know to be true. It seems to be re-affirming the sale, defining and clarifying certain terms and establishing the fact that the payments to Cornell are to be pushed back until January 2008, enough time for the sale to be completed (hopefully). I noticed another clause that stated that Cornell and Mobl are looking into the legality of Cornell's ability to sell MOBL shares but doesn't say that this will necessarily happen.
I think we're ok on this but what do I know. I'm the dummy that bought these shares in the first place.
J
Very good question. I was wondering this myself. If Jay is keeping mum about impending developments, why would TS get the scoop. Doesn't make sense to me.
Joani_de;
All paper in my opinion. JW has lead us astray and doesn't have the life experience that is needed to run this company. THE STOCK PRICE TELLS IT ALL. A savvy CEO makes the SP go UP not DOWN. That is at least what I learned in my Finance classes in college.
I would love to see all the dreams come true but at this point I'm not a believer anymore. I will give this to the end of August and if things don't improve, I'm out. (If the company is still around)
AIMHO
J
Nibbler;
I'm down about 75% as of today and not happy about it either. With all the money I am down, I could have had a harem of Russian women and had a lot more fun. LOL!
J
joani_de;
It is just incredible what has happened to this company. It almost seems as if these jokers are "playing" at running a company. They had no strategy to begin with except some wild wifi hopes and dreams which they couldn't even carry out successfully enough to break even with, they diluted the heck out of the share price, and at the end of all of it, all they have left is a shell of a company. Some of these purchases didn't make sense to me (i.e. Pro Games) but I believed the hype, Pr's and CC's that Jay put out.
This BB&T thought is just wishfull thinking. I really don't think there is much left of MOBL to look forward to. I've been waiting all year (actually since 2005) for some good news and it's always the same. Another hope to hang on to. Jay has completely screwed all of us and has abandoned his fiduciary responsibility to us the shareholders.
What can be done about it? Probably nothing except lessons learned by us the shareholders.
J
Nibbler;
My wife wouldn't be too keen on it either. LOL. Funny, I have done incredibly well in the slow process of saving 10% of my salary and invest in mutual funds or index funds for the past 20 years or so. I've also made a mint on real estate in the DC Metropolitan area. I got cocky and thought I couldn't loose. This is a good wakeup call for me to get back to basics. I'll see how this pans out over the next couple of months or so and see if I can get more of my money back than I have now.
It's not a good day today!!!
J
MobilePro's current market value of about $17 million is not unreasonable given how the chips have fallen. Of course, once MOBL's slate is clean, Wright intends to get back on the horse and look for new acquisitions (not necessarily in the telecom/wireless space) to take advantage of the clean, publicly-traded vehicle.
I do hope that he will not be getting aquisition bonuses for whatever new couse he intends to pursue. What does it take to get him fired?
J
Rugged;
I've plundered a few Russian woman myself before I was married. You were absolutely correct in all of this and my hat is off to you. The TS report (if true) is disheartening.
Tomorrow should be an interesting day. Hopefully a PR will come out tomorrow or Thursday. I'll hold through the rest of the year and see what happens. This be a lesson to not sink much money into these things. I'm down a LOT of money but I blame no one but myself.
Fender;
You sound like my wife but I actually agree with you (and her) on this situation. MOBL needs to start making money at some point.
J
Crashman;
I like the way you think. I think that if someone wanted to take a risk, a big purchase now "may" pan out in the future.
J
Stockdoc;
This may be premature but "IF" a reverse merger is going on which is my theory.... how long would this take to complete. I'd like to see some progress on "any" plan that would culminate in a completion sometime this year.
Is that possible or do you think this will drag out another year?
Jason
invitro;
I may be pessemistic here but I'd be happy to see a .0750 pps out of all of this and get my money back
J
Rob;
As in the past, positive news may come out on Monday morning. That's what I'm thinking will happen. It's actually a good thing that nothing came out today as we may not have had the positive news we are all hoping for on the sale of the ISP .
I'd love to buy another 500,000 shares at these prices but I just don't have any money left to risk.....
Have a good weekend.
J
Actually, I use one every now and then where I work because the cell phone signal is terrible.
J
JB;
Is there any way to find out how long Jerry has been in this position? Did this just happen or has Jerry been involved in this company for a while? I'm not sure if this tells us anything but it would be interesting to know.
J
Rugged;
You have been right twice. I am counting and I listen to your opinions very carefully. I think you defended yourself well on the insider trading accusation. I read all the posts on RB but don't post there often.
Have a great day.
