Although anything can happen, I'm thinking they might be closer to re-monetizing the metals tech, but that's just me.
Metallicum's ECAP(Equal Channel Angular Pressing)machines have the capability to produce "proof of theory" specimens all the way up to full scale production.
I really hope you get it!!
Website for Metallicum.
Its now under "What's New" on the company websites.
What's personal about a recommendation to sell and move on?
OK. The Korean poster was just the first iteration of the good things that MDA is saying about the MRX technology on its website devoted to the Magnetic Relaxometry Laboratory. A huge accomplishment compared to just an idea as it was 5 years ago. Are we there yet? No but we're getting closer. As far as Carpenter and the revenue lost, I see it as, they are now out of the way so the slate is clean for new ventures. (The old half full, half empty debate)I know you disagree. There are points of view that differ from yours. Will any of them be proven? Time will tell.
ssc, I can't agree with the opening sentence of that reply more. It made me want to stand up and high five ya! Sorry, that's where it ends though. I see you clinging to the past rather than looking forward. Is there work to do in the share value area? You bet! Especially now with big expenses and eliminated income. I, same as you, look forward to the next PR.
So, you think there will not be news? Count the press releases per year for the last couple years and obtain an average per month and then interpolate when to expect the next one. Whether the topics you would like to be covered will be covered remains to be seen but there will be news.
Nupapa, That study dealt with circulating cancer cells in the bloodstream, which is a very similar tact as Google-x has taken. MRX differs in that it detects conglomerations of cancer cells called tumors rather than free circulating cells. Also that study was about metastatic (cancer that has spread to or resurfaced in other parts of the body) breast cancers and determining the type of breast cancer as determined by hormone receptors. MRX could detect, locate and measure the tumor and depending on the bio marker of the NP determine the type. Wouldn't it then be a different cancer like if a breast cancer spread to the lungs wouldn't it then be lung cancer? No. Once the original diagnosis is "breast cancer", any and all future cancers in that patient are also breast cancer no matter where they show up.
I can say that Falk replaced Upham which, reading between the lines says that she was terminated. I too wonder about the status of Falk. Maybe someday we will come to know.
Although I share your hope for a miracle, I remain optimistic that it is not far off. Really, it is in the hands of MD Anderson.
Actually they could begin using the Nano MRX II on human sentinel nodes without FDA approval because the testing would be done outside the body. If that is unfamiliar, when a surgeon, in the example of breast cancer, removes a tumor either by lumpectomy or by mastectomy, they also take the first lymph node on the chain and split it for on the spot examination to see if the cancer has advanced to the lymph nodes from which it can spread to other areas of the body. If the pathologist says, "cancer", then all of the lymph node chain will be removed right then. If the pathologist says, "no cancer" Then the surgery is over except for closing and the node is sent to a lab for intense slicing, dicing and search for cancer cells. If any are found, another surgery is required to remove all the lymph nodes. If not it is good news.
They do sentinel node checks in other cancer surgeries too so MRX used for sentinel node analysis could be a savings to patients with advanced stage cancers.
All good questions, ssc, and I don't have an answer. Hopefully, when the researchers at MD Anderson are finished, all of that will become a moot point. I originally thought that it wasn't the best strategy to turn disruptive technology over to the industry that the technology threatens to disrupt for validation because it would be easy then, for the industry to "dismiss" it in defense of its own lunch money. Much in the same way the licensee of a nano structured metal may see that product as a threat and pay for the rights to it just to keep it suppressed. I sincerely hope that these theories are all wrong but its dog eat dog out there!
At the time of the sale, the market price was .105-.115. Notice no private placement sales at .11 since the market price dip. It could have been "managed money" where the broker just put his client "into" the stock @ that price.(earning a nice commission) When the market price is above .11 is when the "competition" you mentioned will take place.
Try reading the filings. If that doesn't work ask the mgmt.
In my estimation what's guaranteed is, your dissatisfaction.
No. I'm saying $3M is an estimate.
$.13 is the strike price of the director's options that expire in 10 years. $.11 is the recent private placement price. $.1265 is the strike price of the warrants attached to said private placement that expire in 5 years. $3M is a non guaranteed estimate based on what could happen pursuant to the CRS contract. The unusual thing about this private placement is, it didn't have the usual big discount to the market. This makes me think that the investor chased the company to catch this deal.
What liquidity?
It is hard to disagree although it is what it is and from that we move on.
I see this 10Q as compared to the same quarter last year as being "less bad". There is some strong language about risk and needing additional financing, etc. but the company has existed for years on end in similar condition and hasn't had to curtail operations for the lack of money. They always seem to find financing. We would all like to see them increase revenues to the point of becoming self sufficient. Maybe next time.
I'm with you, Rusty. My wife had stage 2 "triple negative" breast cancer diagnosed in June 2010. She has since had five cancer related surgeries and twenty nine weeks of chemo therapy. Looking back, the one thing that I think helped her get through all of it the most is the fact that her Christian faith gives her an extreme positive attitude! This also carried Me through the process. We'll be praying for you both, the researchers at MDA and Senior Scientific as well as Google.
https://www.wired.com/2014/11/googles-cancer-detecting-pill-just-hype/
For the benefit of those not up on the details.
Yes. If you have read about both and you obviously have, you know that SSI's technology and research is light years ahead of Google's and the goals of the Google investigation may have already been visited, surpassed and dismissed as unachievable by the SSI research. On the other hand they (Google X) may be looking at and seeing something that SSI has not considered.
In Sum; SSI has the tech and is way down the research road and Google has curiosity, ideas and money....
"Marketing ploy" for what? "Enough revenues"! When you think about it, that's a little on the absurd side. It's like that old country music lyric, "a girl too pretty".
Big companies need to reinvest portions of their income after dividends and share buybacks, why not a little diversification?
We invested in this technology with high hopes and now Google has also.
By "pills", you mean "nano-particles", I assume.
Yes but don't you think it is a bit odd that Dr. Flynn is quoted and Senior Scientific is mentioned in the Google article? It makes me wonder about all that may be going on behind the scenes.
Eerily suspicious is Dr. Flynn being quoted in an article about Google.
It is probably going to take some new revenues to get over that hump.
Is this story, or the pertinent excerpt of it, being spread about by DGI? If not..why not?
Sadly, it is not I. Therefore I am not the only one who is having some fun! I have long noted this particular trader's activity and have dubbed him, "Old Buck", for usually saving the day on an expenditure of about 13 bucks or less. God Bless him!
I'm having fun.
Only if enough buyers hear about it.
Its a "30% off" sale!!!
Mason's involvement brings credibility but if he is not helping his big money investor acquaintances get involved, And if the shares he acquires are off the shelf rather than from the market, then the limit of his value to the shareholders has been realized. The initial published results of the MDA MRX validation process were positive so I believe that it is time he quit sitting on his hands collecting interest and did what he said he would do if mhtx did what it said it would do. "Validate the process at MDA."
Markets are not rational. They exist to frustrate as many participants as possible as much as possible.
