I can say that Falk replaced Upham which, reading between the lines says that she was terminated. I too wonder about the status of Falk. Maybe someday we will come to know.

Although I share your hope for a miracle, I remain optimistic that it is not far off. Really, it is in the hands of MD Anderson.
Actually they could begin using the Nano MRX II on human sentinel nodes without FDA approval because the testing would be done outside the body. If that is unfamiliar, when a surgeon, in the example of breast cancer, removes a tumor either by lumpectomy or by mastectomy, they also take the first lymph node on the chain and split it for on the spot examination to see if the cancer has advanced to the lymph nodes from which it can spread to other areas of the body. If the pathologist says, "cancer", then all of the lymph node chain will be removed right then. If the pathologist says, "no cancer" Then the surgery is over except for closing and the node is sent to a lab for intense slicing, dicing and search for cancer cells. If any are found, another surgery is required to remove all the lymph nodes. If not it is good news.
They do sentinel node checks in other cancer surgeries too so MRX used for sentinel node analysis could be a savings to patients with advanced stage cancers.
