All the hot GE action seems to be at GEV.
Eventually the technology will allow the fossil fuel vehicle to be mothballed. Obviously not first generation electric trucks.
I don't claim to be any kind of expert on electric vehicles but I don't see how they compete with Ford, GM or Tesla. Looking for enlightenment, until then watching falling knife catching.
Of course Musk can't seem to sell stock fast enough.
Big move, maybe they will show some profits at some point!
Are they going to be putting him in prison for his crimes?
Sadly the only time this stock has really done anything was when they did private placements with sleazy promoters who ran the stock and then dumped all the stock they got in payment for the screw job.
I consider my stock worthless and for the most part in non taxable accounts so I can't even take a tax loss.
Barchenko is frankly a bit old at this point to be doing much company growth. Only a final scam will get you out.
Trading on NASDAQ CM, no press release? Odd
Almost two weeks ago.
Exchange all, part or none of GE for SYF? That is the question, damn if I know the answer. My track record on these kinds of decisions is pretty ,pretty, pretty poor.
The real money to be made here is in figuring out what GE is going to buy with all the dollars raised selling off financial assets. Healthcare, oil services, engineering, etc.
Any candidates ?

Covered California Doles Out $13.4M To Increase Call Center Capacity

Covered California
Covered California has awarded contracts worth a total of $13.4 million to two third-party vendors to increase the capacity of the exchange's call centers during its second open enrollment period, which begins on Nov. 15, the Los Angeles Times reports (Terhune, Los Angeles Times, 10/17).
Background
Last week, the state health insurance exchange released a report outlining lessons learned during the first open enrollment period and efforts the exchange will take to address those issues.
The report identified three main lessons from the exchange's first open enrollment period:
Consumer interest and interactions outpaced predictions and posed a challenge for exchange systems and services;
Consumers need more education about health coverage terminology, enrollment and using insurance; and
Consumers relied heavily on assistance to successfully enroll in coverage.
To reduce wait times for enrollment assistance during the second open enrollment period, the exchange said it has hired more than 1,300 assisters to help consumers over the telephone or through online chats and in-person meetings.
The exchange also said it will provide enrollment counselors and insurance agents with additional tools to educate consumers.
Meanwhile, Covered California's partners plan to launch assistance efforts at about 200 retail locations where consumers can enroll, renew or learn more about obtaining health coverage (California Healthline, 10/17).
Details of Contracts
Covered California awarded a:
$9.8 million contract to Faneuil; and
$3.6 million contract to Maximus.
Covered California Executive Director Peter Lee said the call centers needed a boost because they "had call response times that were far too long. We were swamped."
In August, just 1% of calls to the exchange were answered within 30 seconds -- despite the exchange's goal of having 80% of calls answered within that time. As of Thursday, exchange officials said the average wait time was less than five minutes (Los Angeles Times, 10/17).
How many boards and stocks are you going to ask the same silly troll like question?
Funny you should pick lightbulbs, since the divesting bug will likely hit the lighting division next. Not sure you are up on your GE knowledge.
If most of the trades were just between related parties to pump up the volume and generate interest then it is pretty simple to do. 2 million shares of $.05 stock is pretty easy.
It is sad for a long time owner to watch a once promising company languish in its final death spiral. A future shell company for someone else to use down the road.
Review analysis is usually close to 100%.
Stock is up over $8 in that timeframe and add in over $2 in dividends. More important is what is going to happen going forward. If we knew the answer we would all be Warren B's.
In a good market going forward I think we see mid 30's.
Bought one for my son, Senior in HS. Most of his work is done or required in Google Docs. Cheap easy to carry. Perfect for school. My daughter on the other hand in 6th grade uses an IPAD.
Happy New Year - enjoy reading this board although I admit the tech stuff does tend to fly right past me.
" Teri was my second wife and Jaime and Marissa were my stepdaughters." from his website.
I always liked him, sharpest poster I ever conversed with for sure. Although it is funny in a way that he once said I was nuttier than a fruitcake.
It is a base that is built on a foundation of bs. Until they actually show that they have a real product and real customers paying for it, it is alas just a pump/dump.
Did somebody wake Barchenko up from his nap and suggest he tell his shareholders that they are still in business? More of the same, maybe we will get some business, we are in line for 10% of millions of dollars of low margin sub contract government work that probably won't get awarded because the USA has cut back on spending. I'm thinking that the grandkids of Barchenko will be running this company before it turns the corner.
That release says nothing. Company has no sales and it doesn't look like they ever will.
Sold most of my shares, kept a few for kicks.
Revenue!
I see how it really moved the stock.
Time to retire Arthur and let a new generation of people try to get this company moving.
Yikes, hate to respond to my own post, but glad I followed my own advice for once. I wouldn't be averaging down in this if I was a long.
This one might be dead until someone wipes out all the scumbags.
Don't really think that Barchenko cares about current stock price. He has never really been a seller other than for short term financing to keep the company afloat. Don't recall ever seeing an employee buy any stock.
Sure would be a positive, why not give him a call.
Always liked GFRE, but too much BS going on with this at the moment. Hard to know which end is up when they don't trade on fundamentals or potential but only on shorts/derivatives and pure manipulation.
Revenue
almost had a heart attack
may actually turn out to be a real deal someday
It needs some real support by someone to maintain a legit bid in the stock. $.27 to $.026 in 1050 shares.
ps - call Barchenko and tell him to get his chit together.
LOL
I quote myself from post #273
"Someday a player will come along and pump it once more, Barchenko is useless."
I think that is what is going to happen soon. Profitability is a pipe dream. 25 years as a public company and how many Q's of profit? The answer would sicken anyone.
I am going back to sleep.
Yes Len - still alive - no interest in VMC at the moment. Hope all is well with you!
All my neighbors who asked me about stocks two years ago when I told them I was mostly in cash think of me as an investing guru, while they curse behind my back as the 401K's are depleted!
destroy this message after reading - LOL
It's hard being right, Len. You get no respect.
2 for 1 split is being ignored in your calculations!!
It is possible that some of these contracts will see some increased funding as they are "shovel ready". Hopefully we will not be defending Air Force bases with shovels, but one never knows with the Federal government.
*not a recommendation to buy
stone hemorrhoids ?
I believe the FBI is starting a special unit to investigate internet forums that are critical of the FBI.
The past 2 administrations were certainly willing to do such a thing. Come to think of it, all administrations in my lifetime most likely would be doing it.
LOL
Are you saying that AFOP could be A FLOP ?
Donald E. Westlake, the celebrated comic novelist who died on New Year's Eve, wrote more than 90 books during his 50-year career.
For those that have never read a Westlake book, time to pick one up. I have read at least half of his books and still have a way to go.
