Couldnt funds just naked shorted to keep the run in check and then cover those naked short positions everytime they shook shares loose? That could explain those quick declines in price. Naked shorting opens the system up to fraud and manipulation, undermining faith in the markets and faith in SEC enforcement.
27th is the deadline for the RS so they can trade for 10 days over 1?
File Number S7-19-07 , please act to eliminate naked shorting to the fullest extent possible
Because so much fraud can be funneled through naked shorting, the markets lose their sense of logic and orientation. No one knows if a stock is heading down due to bad news pending or simply fraudulent operators trying to sway market sentiment. It is not only discouraging, but it cheats many unsuspecting retail investors out of their due profits, etc. On these points, I think most sincere observers agree.
While classic shorting, where one goes out and actually borrows real, tangible shares, is considered a time honored practice, naked shorting is a horrid caricature of classic shorting. There appears to be no limit on the amount of imaginary shares that can be introduced to the float of shares available for trading, and due to the laws of supply and demand, prices will undeniably fall if the number of shares balloons, even if only for a short period. We cannot grant any loophole for these people trying to manipulate sentiment, not a single day of grace period. Whatever loophole is left, they will use to the ultra-max, as is the history on Wall St. That means no exceptions for options market makers, no exceptions for foreign market makers, enforcement of abuses abroad on stocks listed in the U.S., no grace period for locating stock to borrow, no borrowing the same stock multiple times over, etc. The morally challenged faction on Wall St will abuse any and all exceptions given them. There is clearly no need to compromise with people who are in the fraud business.

TA, theres alot of money that can be made to the upside whenever that upside is ALLOWED to happen. Sonny retiring means thats closer if Amylin is good example and Joe's statements are accurate. I didnt say this isnt going to drop first TA. Need to expand the share count to some degree.

Silicon Nitride, a Close to Ideal Ceramic Material for Medical Application
examples of their medical applications that relate to spinal, orthopedic and dental implants, bone grafts and scaffolds, platforms for intelligent synthetic neural circuits, antibacterial and antiviral particles and coatings, optical biosensors, and nano-photonic waveguides for sophisticated medical diagnostic devices are all covered in the research reviewed herein. One thing thats extremely curious is how, after several times getting approval for new employee share plan, without any issue, it was conveniently voted down last year before the massive expansion to share count and significant RS. Now that can be revoted on late this year.
Atlanta how would you know what i did or did not do unless you, or someone you know, can monitor my trading account?

He probably did the same as I - sold enough to eliminate risk and let it ride.
The tech is real.
Well the bearish channel won out and we just bounced off the bottom of it from about 67% retrace. They have effectively setup a Cup n Handle with bullish flag pattern but more likely funds established the trading channel post RS.
Xena, not sure what you're going for other than funds churning shares. They shorted the shit out of this to .02 and pumped it to .22 to increase profits. They'll be shorting the RS but lets hope another pump before they drive it down for offerings. Im assuming offering effective Q3 as cash on hand is low with 3-4m a Q burn. Back to status quo it seems.
Despite all the manipulation by funds, that move was to shake shares loose, this is worth hundreds of millions plus.

To show just how much Sintx Si3n4 is worth, one need only look at a comparable company Implex, acquired in 2003, to see how much Sintx Si3N4 is worth in the few markets that Implex Hydrocel (Zimmer's Trabecular Metal) is used in. Keep in mind that Si3n4 brings superior benefits with it compared to that of Trabecular Metal (biodegradable, antimicrobial, more osseointegrative, can be imbued and used as a coating in/on other materials), has a larger market reach (armor, industrial, antipathogenic, other medical products), and has not been mired in recalls and lawsuits.
Total acquisition costs of Implex was $108m upfront + $124.1 (96m+28.1) in cash earn-out payments from 2004-2006 for a grand total of $232.1m. Sintx tried to IPO for a valuation of around $225m in 2007 when it only had spinal product candidates and hip/knee candidates in early stages of R&D.
The pending acquisition of Implex gives the Company enhanced flexibility in the development of products using Trabecular Metal Technology, which the Company believes has significant potential in orthopaedic reconstructive and spinal product applications.
Each share of Implex stock will be converted into the right to receive cash having an aggregate value of approximately $108 million at closing and additional cash earn-out payments that are contingent on the growth of Implex product sales through 2006.
We have paid $96.0 million of earn-out payments through December 31, 2005. We estimate remaining payments, which will occur in 2006, to be in a range from $30 million to $40 million.
In 2006, we made a final payment of $28.1 million pursuant to the terms of the Implex acquisition agreement for contingent earn-out payments.
Together with a strategic partner, we have initiated biomechanical testing of our solid silicon nitride femoral heads. The results of this test will be released in 2017
Amedica and Zimmer-Biomet (Tokyo Office) provided the femoral heads and acetabular liners; however, neither company actively sponsored the research

Ok seems like volume is dropping indicating consolidation. Internal waves are still up-trending within two main channels, However it looks like major distribution based on the daily timeframe but accumulation over the course of the pump if im reading your Acc/Dist indicator correctly.
Im seeing a upward trading channel & downward channel in play atm when you include pre & post market trading. Looks like one or the other channel will win out tomorrow at somepoint. Fridays are usually bad for SINT. BB channel is currently within and parallel with the bullish trend.
Funny enough ive been hearing that song alot lately.
Given todays news about another Boeing engine fire yesterday, i'm just going to reiterate ceramics for engine components may help prevent that. This is a growing problem due to EM radiation!
Boeing jet forced to make an emergency landing after engine catches fire
A Boeing plane carrying 468 people was forced to make an emergency landing in Indonesia after the engine suddenly caught fire just after takeoff.
The Garuda Indonesia jet was taking off from the Indonesian city of Makassar en route to Saudi Arabia — with many passengers heading on pilgrimage to Mecca — when the drama unfolded at 5:15 p.m. Wednesday, the airline said.
Dramatic footage posted on social media apparently shows the Boeing 747-400 plane’s engine engulfed in flames right as its wheels were lifting off the runway.
SINTX has a long history of developing composites and coatings for extreme environments. Our 30 years of experience has allowed us to gain expertise with both C and SiC fibers, debond coatings including carbon and SiC, dozens of different options for the composition and the production process for the ceramic matrix, and a wide array of final barrier coatings.
Our Ceramic Matrix Composite (CMC) experience initially was focused on Carbon/SiC and SiC/SiC based formulations, but this material family has a wide array of options which tailor the properties such as density, strength, oxidation resistance, and wear resistance.
What if there are multiple Bots controlled by big playas and they are programmed to work together to create an illusion, all smoke and mirrors?
Maybe. 100:1 at .15 puts us right back to where we were after the 2022 RS oddly enough.
AI may handle the core trading but someones still tells it what to do...to a point. Im sure some AI is trained to scan and hop on board. All those bot accounts on ST driven by AI trading software? I wouldnt think so. Someones have to put these elements all together. Like the move over the last 2 days, they could move SINT over 1 if they wanted to. Funny thing is Funds would make way more with that move than shorting a RS. But then Sintx needs to be in a position it can issue shares to prevent hostile takeover.
There was no substance to todays move. Think there would be some hype in regards to Si3N4 ability to kill SS-RNA viruses which should include Avian Flu. Instead the bots were just meme'ng nonsense.
These volume stats are crazy...

I was wondering if a the plan is to raise the price so the R/S to retain NASDAQ listing will be smaller...???
Also it's possible that there was significant accumulation at .15 by the powers that be and perhaps they don't want to take a loss on that position.
Honestly, I believe that AI has gotten so strong that they can pretty well call the shots and retail just goes along for the ride.
Thanks for posting that. Any thoughts on whether this is a pump to sell shares before RS or something real? Despite OS, this should be over 1 naturally but the same funds that have been manipulating this downward are now pumping it. 89% of todays volume via Dark Pools (NASD ADF).
Market Date FINRA PSX/BX Aggregate Short Volume Aggregate Total Volume Aggregate Short Volume Ratio
2024-05-15 291,109,283 + 1,734,457 = 292,843,740 / 485,769,925 = 60.28
So nasdaq reports 1.7m shares short volume via PSX/BX and FINRA shows 373k via American Stock Exchange.
The whole enchilada - premarket and post market, five minute chart.
I believe that the moves indicated by the pink arrows show that the entire day was under AI control. The buying was real, but there were shakedowns intended to scare folks who bought high.
30 minute chart - note the premarket churn, volume was similar to the previous day. Gap up and early trading attracted attention. I believe it was mostly AI participants playing footsie at first.
IBR short shares available dropped from 3.5m to 300k. Burn em all!
I kid, they know when to close out.
Well, I just derisked my position and I have a 10x return on the remainder.
Sonny, don't quit. We need you! lol up 190% already.. 150 million traded before the bell. I really hope some of you old timers got something back.
Very strange....
Did the Gme guy put out a meme on Sint? Lol, unreal up 100% already on large volume...and no news. Go Sint!
Here is the short data for today. 84% of the volume was via NASD ADF (Darkpool), 15% of the volume traded via Montreal Stock Exchange, and 78% of the volume that traded via American Stock Exchange was short (less than 1% of total volume was retail). Short volume was higher than usual via Montreal Stock Exchange while about average short volume via NASD ADF. IBR short shares available significantly increased into the close yesterday from 600k to 3m which grew to 3.5m available today showing alot of short positions closed out yesterday before this pump...did they know the pump was coming? According to Fintel Anson fund has close to 1m shares reported today. We shall see why Anson hopped on soon enough but its usually not good. Shorting into the RS? Id like to see something new and this actually went up, but this is whats happened every other time; usually 25+% drop in price before post RS pump if one is coming. NASDAQ has given Sintx until June 10th to comply with the bid price rule or be delisted.

I was simply showing more evidence that supported what Schauberger's biography stated is all. Since this is not well known, its more likely that the intelligence community created the ET story as a cover story for this program.

The examples provided convincingly show that silicon nitride is destined to become a leader to replace titanium and other entrenched biomaterials in many fields of medicine.
Silicon nitride, silicon carbide and diamond-like carbon as non-oxide ceramics are considered to be the new generation of materials used in hip prosthetics, particularly in the manufacture of acetabular cups, due to their excellent biocompatibility, osteointegration, and tribological and mechanical properties, but all three materials need more study. However, silicon nitride is the nearest to commercialization, through businesses such as Amedica Corp. and SyntX Technologies
Tomorrow could be HUGE!
I mentioned before I thought your explanation was plausible for MOST but not necessarily all UFOs. I'm really not that interested anyway because whatever the case, media will spin it to get an audience, rather than to substantiate what is or isn't factual.
Looks like Sint is getting an audience. Perhaps you guys get a lower than 1/300 which isn't good, but certainly better than the worst. IF .06 (or dare I think higher) is sustained, even a 1/100 gets $6.
After Hours looking great 👍

I wasnt aware of Forbidden History episode that essentially confirms what was claimed inside the biography of Viktor Schaurberger. You can see more evidence in the episode that Nazi's were developing Schaubergers flying saucers and as indicated by Apple's description of the episode, US and Russia took the tech as ive been saying via Operation Paperclip. Further validating my claims that Flying Saucers are in fact manmade and Schaubergers implosion designs were key to their flight.
Jamie investigates the theory that the Nazis were engaged in research into spacecraft before the outbreak of WWII. He also travels to Poland to visit a mysterious site that may have been used a test base for Nazi flying saucers.
'We have considered your scientific research and think there is something in it. You can now either choose to take charge of a scientific team of technicians and physicians from among the prisoners, to develop machines utilizing the energy you have discovered, or you will be hanged.'
Schauberger understandably chose the first (insisting that his helpers must no longer be regarded as prisoners) and so an intensive period of study began. After the S.S. college, where the research was taking place, was bombed, Schauberger and his team were transferred to Leonstein, near Linz. The project they initiated there was a 'flying saucer' powered by a 'trout turbine'. Schauberger was clear about the principle of construction.
If water or air is rotated into a twisting form of oscillation known as 'colloidal', a build up of energy results, which, with immense power, can cause levitation. This form of movement is able to carry with it its own means of power generation. This principle leads logically to its application in the design of the ideal airplane or submarine... requiring almost no motive power.
I preferred the first alternative, and about a year later, the first 'flying saucer' rose unexpectedly, at the first attempt, to the ceiling, and then was wrecked. A few days later an American group appeared, who seemed to understand what was happening, and seized everything. Then, after a very thorough investigation by a high-ranking officer, I was taken in protective custody, and guarded by no less than six policemen for about six months.
Yep revenue increased about 150k with product revenue increasing 70k. Most of the growth was supplying aerospace contracts. Not bad considering their larger Aerospace contract was signed in February. It would make sense for this to increase as the year progresses. The contract was up to 800k per year but its not likely they'll hit that in the first year.
Q4 they had larger gains as they likely supplied CTL with more blanks than CTL would need. Lets see how things progress this year. Ascendiant projected 3m revenue for 2023 and 5 million for 2024 if i recall correctly. Revenue was 2.6m in 2023. Thus if Ascendiant is close again, then we would likely expect 4.25-5+m range this year if any other new products/contracts launched/contracts signed.
Other things worth noting are drop in R&D spending of 8%, drop in G&A expense of 4%, and 21% drop in Sales and Marketing. Also a reduction in overall cash burn to back to below 1m a month (2.7m) from 4.7m last year. Debt from the TA&T acquisition is down to 26k representing the only real debt that Sintx has.
Yes Joe, their revenue is nothing to jump for joy over but then their lucrative products havent even been commercialized yet with at least 1 major partner. There is a plethora of product candidates, with partners, awaiting to move forward (no ETA). Now that Sonny is stepping down, i bet thats a signal the core of Sintx development is done and is ready for commercialization. Just as with Amylin when Cook stepped down as CEO.
In regards to offerings, this is because SINT is so undervalued from abusive shorting/naked shorting which guarantees profits for the funds that buy the offerings. SINT does not reflect Sintx IP value at all. When Zimmer acquired Implex in 2003, it showed the value of Sintx IP. Si3n4 is meant to provide similar benefits to that of Implex's Hydrocel but is superior is pretty much every way.

Buyers outpacing sellers 4 to 3 so far, the exact opposite of what I would have thought. Oh well, probably another rally of some sort coming up, but I was wrong the last time.
TA, apparently you and noneyabiz over there, along with madg and myself over here FOR YEARS have been sounding the alarm. Meanwhile, the company's revs have increased all the way up by about 150k (While expenses have gone up 105k) on income that is STILL UNDER 1 million (YOY), along with over 100 million shares of dilution in a 2 month period....and...some THINK there is a concerted effort here concerning stock price? Unbelievable! How many years has this been in existence? How many years has Bal been running this? How important is this product? And yet....can't even pull in a million in revs (not counting the cost to pull in those revs). Again, unbelievable....but then again it isn't.
And now we're probably going for 1 to 300 reverse, with a slight chance at a little less. I won't even begin to try and figure out WHY Maxim or whomever is ALLOWED to short shares from the outset when I've personally seen OTHER companies FORCE the lenders/ buyers to wait at least 6 months before selling. The simple question would be: why can SOME companies call some of the shots, and others can't? But then again, if you're always the victim.....
Gotta luv it!
On April 5, 2024, the Company closed on a public offering 71,600,000 shares of the Company’s common stock, (the “Offering”). Each Share was sold at a public offering price of $0.021. The aggregate proceeds to the Company from the Offering were approximately $1.5 million before deducting placement agent fees and other estimated offering expenses payable by the Company.
10q is out. Sonny diluted only 116,000,000 in 2 months with promises that the company is still a going concern and that survival is based on selling shares.

The first offering after 100:1 RS saw a significant drop in stock price from a close of $9.28 on Feb 3rd to $2.32 on Feb 21st. The following is the fail to deliver data. There was just over 500k shares before this offering so the amount of naked shares shown are actually substantial. Fail to deliver data is delayed 3 days and represent the number of naked shares that have not yet be covered, standing open after three days. So there is no way to know how many shares were naked shorted on Feb 3rd when the stock spiked to $12.13 for most of the naked shorts were covered within the 3 business day period. The stock price begins to stabilize as naked short shares are closed out.

What appears to happen with every Sintx offering is they are naked shorted to convert/sell into market. This is done in part to prevent exceeding percent ownership. There is no pump with the funds selling the stock at higher prices. No they profit trading the stock at lower prices than their strike price. Thats only accomplished via shorting and naked shorting.
Bashers will offer various reasons for why the stock is priced like it is, but its mostly because of what im describing. This despite Sintx IP being worth over $232m that Zimmer paid to acquire Implex for its IP back in 2003. If you look into Implex you'll see it was a materials company with a material that was supposed to increase osseointegration. Naturally since Sintx Si3N4 does that and more, can play in the same markets as Implex Hydrocel, Sintx has similar revenue to that of Implex before Zimmer came into the picture, and Sintx Si3N4 can be used in more medical and even non-medical markets than that of Implex's hydrocel. Then there is nothing more to conclude than Sintx IP is worth more than $232m.

Joe, do not fixate on 5g only. My point about, specifically mmwave 5g, was simply that it blankets cities in high frequency EM radiation every few blocks. Theres powerlines, wifi, bluetooth, etc emanating with EM radiation. In cities this is amplified due to closer proximity. For properties on larger acreage, this is less of a problem, except for 5g.
No comment about the Bible becoming one with the steel column? Its a real object that was in the 911 memorial museum. How else do you explain how the bible merged with the column without burning up other than the steel column turned to jelly via the Hutchison Effect. This phenomenon is just another reason why Si3n4 is needed as Si3n4 should disrupt it the way a ceramic coating on the underbelly of a vehicle is used to prevent rust. Even though this doesnt work well on EVs due to the excessive EM radiation emanating off them.

Trust me (pun intended) I find it extremely rare that I trust any source as 'reliable', including the one I originally quoted from...
Meanwhile you are quoting rationalwiki like its a reliable source...
File Number S7-19-07 , please act to eliminate naked shorting to the fullest extent possible
Naked shorting opens the system up to fraud and manipulation, undermining faith in the markets and faith in SEC enforcement.
“Ken’s brilliance will be missed in the scientific community as a visionary in the field of new energy exotic vacuum objects (EVO’s). He was a leader in this new frontier, but perhaps best known to the scientific community as the father of vacuum microelectronics.”
He worked at MIT (during this time he fabricated the world’s first microcircuits) and later did some exotic and confidential work for the CIA and others. Ken has a history of working at the edge of science and engineering. He worked at SRI International for ten years as a staff scientist and started a field now called vacuum nanoelectronics, which is based on field emission active devices.
His friend John Hutchinson spoke with Ken Shoulders about the inherent conflict between exploratory science and academic science. (In an Video Interview)
“Jelly Metal”. The sample, usually a cast aluminum bar, is seen to quiver as if made of jelly. On occasion, drops of what appear to be molten aluminum are seen to fall
from the sample. The sample is on paper or cardboard which shows no sign of sensible heat. In one case, a common steel cutlery knife which had lain on top of an aluminum flat bar was found to have literally sunk several millimeters into the aluminum bar. The knife appeared not to have been affected.
I saw TA's post and decided to check a little further. This ISN'T the 'kind' of 'expert' I'd expect you to continually quote from...or maybe it is. Seems like he'd be a good fit for Sonny's bod.
John Hutchison (October 19, 1945–) is a Canadian self-proclaimed inventor who claims to have discovered, and promptly forgotten, the secrets of levitation, free energy, and how to make certain metals vanish. He also claims to work for the US Military while living in Vancouver, Canada.
This "Hutchison Effect" has been claimed for years, without any independent verification — ever. In fact, its originator can't even replicate it on demand. This has been investigated more than once, been part of documentaries on The Discovery Channel, but still never seems to pass critical muster. This is in the category of folklore. In general, the "American Antigravity" web site caters to such folklore and its enthusiasts.
Hutchison himself claims to have replicated the results numerous times prior to 1991, while admitting some footage he has released since (at $100 per tape) was faked,...
the Hutchinson effect was proven to be a scam. And John Hutchinson nothing but a grifter with his fake levitation videos. It’s amazing how con men are so easily influenced by other con men. Right 24/7
A small cross-section aluminium alloy rod was subjected to an unexplained phenomenon called the 'Hutchison Effect' which caused the rod end to 'burst' forming a bizarre, frayed failure consisting of peeled platelets 0·05 to 2 mm thick, many torn along striated surface features to form metal strands or filaments resembling a frayed rope. This unusual failure did not exhibit any unexplained metallurgical or materials phenomena when examined using a materials characterisation protocol including optical metallography, field emission scanning electron microscopy and transmission electron microscopy, leaving the mechanism for this bizarre failure unexplained.

CASE SUMMARY
A 10-year-old boy presented with a 1-wk history of a tender bulge over the left temporo-parieto-occipital scalp. He had undergone a temporo-parieto-occipital titanium mesh cranioplasty 26 mo previously. He denied antecedent head trauma. Computerized tomography disclosed a perpendicular fissure in the titanium mesh, suggesting a diagnosis of spontaneous titanium mesh fracture. He underwent a second temporo-parieto-occipital cranioplasty and made an uneventful recovery. Three-dimensional modeling and finite element analyses were used to explore potential risk factors of titanium mesh fracture.
CONCLUSION
We report a case of spontaneous fracture of a titanium mesh cranioplasty implant. The current case and literature review indicate that titanium mesh implants should be well-anchored to the base of bony defects to prevent fatigue-induced fractures.

Jain is one of tens of thousands of Tesla owners who have experienced premature failures of suspension or steering parts, according to a Reuters review of thousands of Tesla documents. The chronic failures, many in relatively new vehicles, date back at least seven years and stretch across Tesla’s model lineup and across the globe, from China to the United States to Europe, according to the records and interviews with more than 20 customers and nine former Tesla managers or service technicians.
My wifes headaches have decreased since she came home TA. They seem to now only occur during geomagnetic storms as we live in the country away from the excess man-made EM radiation. Understand that she left one of the biggest cities in the US as she was a contractor for one of the hospitals there. That means greater exposure to man-made sources of EM radiation in addition to natural radiation that occurs during these geomagnetic storms. What makes most cities particularly bad now is the widespread deployment of mmWave 5g every few blocks or so blanking the city in EM radiation.
She needs to get her titanium implant removed and replaced with a Si3n4 implant but Sintx has to commercialize the implants with ZimVie, Dentsply, etc already.
Legendary actor Dick Van Dyke says he has solved a medical mystery that has baffled him and his doctors for years. The cause of pounding headaches that have plagued him for seven years are his titanium dental implants, he says.
There are tests for titanium allergies, says Dr. Brownstein, but that doesn’t explain what happened to Dick Van Dyke. “Titanium is metal and it creates kind of a lightning rod in the head,” he said. “It doesn’t happen to everyone, and most doctors don’t look for it. Most people have other metals in their mouths, like fillings, and saliva combines with the metal to give a battery-like effect.
“Any metal can do this, and it can be a big problem,” he says. “I just had a patient with issues similar to Van Dyke’s — headaches and facial pain that no one could identify.”

What others do is irrelevant. What is relevant however is the fact that Sintx IP IS worth more than Implex's. Its a superior material with a substantially larger market that it can play in. Just the facts.
There is a significant geomagnetic storm going on right now and sure enough my wife began experiencing a headache after the first CME struck and kicked it off. Since that point her headache has only gotten worse. There is definitely a correlation between geomagnetic storms and her headaches. Her metal implants, particularly her titanium dental implant, could be making them worse due to how they amplify EM radiation.

And yet NO ONE buys shares or makes an offer. Meanwhile Bal is looking to exit (supposedly). Warren, are you not aware? How about you, Carl?
This is a market that Sintx can tap that Implex Hydrocel couldnt touch showing Sintx IP is worth more than $232m Zimmer paid for Implex.
Oops, may have 'guessed' wrong, as sells outpaced buys today almost 2 to 1 on a little higher volume. Ah, such is life in pennyville.
Feds to spend millions to contain bird flu outbreak amid testing lag
Federal officials are scrambling to track the virus. But they’ve struggled to gain access to farms to collect data.
The federal government will spend millions to stem the spread of avian influenza in the nation’s dairy herds to keep the virus from mutating and spreading among humans, officials said Friday.
The investment comes after the federal government drew fire from public health experts for not testing enough cattle or workers exposed to infected herds, which they worry endangers the ability of the U.S. to rapidly respond if the virus mutates. Under the new plan, the government will compensate impacted farmers for costs associated with the virus and juice efforts to track and trace the virus.
The CDC has published guidelines for people working closely with infected animals and this week urged states to facilitate the distribution of protective gear like aprons, gloves and goggles. Still, public health experts and farmworker advocates fear that workers, who are likely the first line of defense to prevent the spread of the virus among humans, are not adequately protected.
Surgical Gowns, Drapes, and Curtains
From surgical drapes to gowns to antimicrobial bedsheets to medical tools, we are working with our partners to revolutionize their product lines with FleX-SN AP. This will help minimize the chance for healthcare-associated infections, which account for hundreds of thousands of deaths each year in the U.S. alone28.
