Oh my!! $42,000 "dilution" on $250M market cap. Are you freaking kidding me??? Get a clue! Blah, blah, blah!!
You do understand that this is a biotech startup that does not yet generate revenue yet? They have a pipeline of products that aren't set to make it to the market until at least next year? They've proven that the CRISPR-Cas9 technology can be effective - now it's time to finish the clinicals and get approval from the FDA to market the products. Geez!!
For sure! I've been in NTLA, EDIT and ARCT for a while just waiting for the CRSPR-Cas9 technology to be shown to be effective. We're just about there. If they don't explode in 2021, we should see it in 2022 the latest with all of the potentially great results from this technology!
Well, I can't argue with the results. Slow and steady and I'm making money. Yeah, buddy. That works!
So you're actually admitting the shrimp are real? I thought your premise was that this is all vaporware! Miracles can happen! Hang in there, Joshy!
Same as the number of cars that Lucid Motors has shipped. It's called a startup genius!
Long term prospects are even better. These guys have a revolutionary process for processing ore and eWaste. Can't wait to see them starting to smelt gold, silver, etc.
wow! You still don't get it. Investors are not "hold until I die and go broke" fools. They expect to successfully profit from the purchase and sale of the shares. Ultimately, the shares are as much a product as the shrimp that will be harvested/sold. If the market dictates that they have decreasing value, it's time to re-evaluate.
Nope, not on board with your comments on the lack of building and safety codes. All counties and local municipalities have codes for the use of property and then for the safety and consistency of construction.
And the SHMP boat just keeps sailing up and to the right...
Hey Stock Jedi - you do realize that a stock buyback is great for existing shareholders? It pulls outstanding shares from the market, and is nothing but bullish!
Over a billion shares traded today - yeah the volume is really drying up. Try again!!
53,907 shares x $0.75 = $40k. Hardly a dilution event. Prattle on mad man!
A few? Look at $TSLA and basically the entire electric car, electric charging, SPAC and green energy markets. With the exception of $TSLA and ChargePoint, most don't even have revenues yet. All these share prices are based on forward projections and momentum. Stocks are worth what the market says they are, and that's not always based on simple financial ratios. Never forget - the stock is also a product of the company that responds to the most basic of all movers - Supply and Demand.
How much market cap did Amazon have 10-15 years ago before it was profitable? The same argument could have been made back then about how undeserving it was of share price and market cap. Not saying that we'll be anywhere near as successful, but market cap for startups clearly cannot be based simply on revenue and earnings.
What was Amazon's P/E for like it's first decade of existence? Doesn't prove anything about future revenue or price potential..
I wouldn't look too hard in the mirror, were I you....
Good call on the Short Squeeze. I've been following EDIT for a while and with no news on EDIT-101 or EDIT-301, the Shorts may be the driving force behind the price run up right now. As of about a month ago, about 18% of shares were short. Not a great place to be! And frankly, I don't have a lot of sympathy....
What's the date when the warrants become exercisable?
Would really appreciate some verifiable proof of wrongdoing (fraud, etc.) rather than just some snipes like a petulant 3rd grader. Please provide substantive notes and stop the name calling and bickering. We're all here to invest to the best of our abilities and your "contributions" only detract from the useful conversations.
Agreed - there won't be anything in the Financials of interest other than an accounting of where any funds went. For me, it will be great to finally get an official corporate structure - in other words, is there an R&D group, and how much have they been working on getting the various processes to Production?
Also, I don't expect them to divulge any potential customers, but I do expect to see some level of details on expected business directions (Industrial vs Semiconductor vs Retail, etc.). Clearly, the next most important activity will be an Earnings Call after release of the Financials.
Future funding??
Agreed on being able to issue shares without too much effect on dilution. Considering the stage we're at, the fact that there's only about 220 million shares outstanding is pretty good. Many will have billions of shares by now, so issuing some, coupled with any kind of news (financials, office space, etc) should be net positive to the stock.
Any idea of how many Authorized (and not Outstanding) shares there are? I cannot find this on CTDT or brokerage websites. That at least points to how much more cash can be raised in the short term.
How to fund CTDT for Production?
Very long on this company - love the technology and its relevance in Industrial, Semiconductor, etc. markets. Let's assume that all goes well in 2018 and the new office is opened, we catch up on the financials - where does CTDT go from there?
My point being that we'll need funding, lots of new capital to start cranking out the Diamonds. Since we don't have any visibility to the Balance Sheet, etc., I am concerned that we won't have any "leverageable" assets and will need to either add a ton of debt, or drop a bunch of new shares into the market.
Ideally, the market would soak up the new shares and we'd not see a big dip if new shares are released, but...
Does anyone have insight into the capital structure of the company as it exists now? I really want to see where this technology can go and get into Production!
Buying and accumulating...
I'm certainly no expert in stock trading, but the way I see it, it's all in what you think about this whole concept. Are "bit coins" currency, speculative plays, momentum stock, etc.? And, how do you assign value to an abstract concept like this. Yes, I understand the algorithm and theory, but at the end of the day, these are just entries in a computer ledger, they will never be tangible "stuff" with inherent value like gold, silver, cobalt, etc.
So, at this point, I am looking at Hive as a junior miner. Instead of picks and shovels, they use a server farm in Iceland to extract the "bits" of value. My guess is that they'll hoard the vast majority of the bits they mine on the expectation that prices will rise over the long run. That will build "value" in their "vault" and should drive the stock price higher.
Would be interested to hear more opinions on this whole concept. It's certainly interesting, and is not complicated to understand the process. I'll be looking forward to their first financials after they start accumulating "bits".
Same here. Still long and accumulating more shares. Would love to see some tangible proof of progress, but lacking that, I still believe in the potential business model and will keep building my position.
If you step back and check the situation from the low in June/July, and take out the Nov-Jan exuberance as well as the short attack in Feb, you see a solidly building uptrend.
In for the long haul. Buying more today. It needs to form a new base off of the last level from Aug-Oct.
Where's you margin call point? That's tomorrow's target! Or have you already exited your position?
Squeeze 'em 'til they cry! Great velocity today - positive price movement on high volumes. Will keep buying.
We need to be patient. They have shown amazing results, but now need to go through Clinical and pre-Clinicals to prove to the FDA the efficacy of their technology. Then, they apply for right to Market the technology. We'll likely see some bumps up in price as more coverage takes place, but its usage as an approved treatment and thus revenue are a ways off yet. But, count me in - I'm in accumulation mode.
Short squeeze? Will be buying at open tomorrow. If the price rises and ushers in a short squeeze for Kerrisdale, so much the better!
I've been wondering the same thing. There have been no clues on the website or in the recent SEC filings as you've noted. I have been holding on and am wondering if the buying is in the anticipation of profitability (Q1/Q2 2017) and eventual re-instatement of dividends. Would be happy to hold another year or two if necessary to get cumulative dividend payout and regular payments again! Unfortunately, we've got a lot of debt that supercedes our claims/place in line.
