a court judge explained religion is a man doing as he believes.

the 1st amendment was written to prevent congress from making any laws about religion, could neither help nor hinder the free exercise of religion. Such laws were left up to the states.
That's a big part of the Constitution many people fail to know.

people do what they choose to do based on what they believe or don't believe .

Some believe we were created by God and He is the Supreme Judge
(see the Declaration of Independence for this reference)

Some believe we accidentally happened from a rock dissolved in the ocean, into an amoeba, a fish, snake, monkey all accidentally, random like.

Those who believe in a Supreme Judge, they know that even if they did fool people now, they won't be able to fool HIM.

They know HE showed the laws of LIFE, and the consequences of breaking those laws.

Others deny the Supreme Judge and Creator, and activily participate in a mind-set of "the end justifies the means" ,

We see this attitude of "anything goes that gets more for me" especially in the seeking of dollar-gain.

Look at all the mis-representation, the hiding, the cloaking of financial "deals".

Ever heard of Dollar-god.? Well, a preacher wrote a letter about in 1810. He was dismayed at how quickly people had turned to serving the Dollar-god by any means they could, ... letting go of more and more of the godly foundations in Colonial America.

The erosion of faith towards GOD has resulted in laws that allowed naked shorting, selling what you don't have; multiplied leverage upon leverage in high finance (by high, i mean hidden from view through protection of laws)

The FRBS multiplies fiat money by a factor of 9
then the Fannie Mae multiplied with leverage up to a hundred.
Then AIG multiplied leverage with "credit default insurance" by up to a factor of 40. This was testimony before a Senate Investigation Committee in 2008 , straight from the mouths of those in charge of AIG, Fannie Mae, and banking system.

Today a congress lady pointed out the "phoney money" some wanted to save with a $700 Billion bail-out.


The question remains, will we pay the way the financial house of cards wants us to do,
or will we avoid that quicksand trap and just go through recovery the substantial way, spending that 700 Billion on hard asset producing endeavors...instead of paying for paper derivatives of paper derivatives of paper bookkeeping entries.

In the last 30 years, Congress has bailed out companies with tangible products on several occasions.

But this bailout is for a pyramid of expanding money, called by some "rehypothecated" funds. Basically meaning, after you put a dollar into my bank, I re-loan it out to 10 more banks, based on the theory that you won't be asking anytime soon for your whole dollar back. Then those ten banks, use the book-keeping entry they made of "phoney-money" in their banks to buy notes from other banks, ie put the money in 100 more banks (as a bookkeeping entry) on which interest is charged. And then make special "derivatives" to sell to financial speculators on what the interest rate will be when the loan is closed. All speculation on a pyramiding house of cards (paper entries of money multiplying from one "financial house" to another.

This, piled on top of the government authorized printing press of dollars and release of bonds, and extension of credit (by paper bookkeeping entries of "phoney money") has caved in on itself, and now America must pay.

That's the essence of what happened.

i read a lot of infighting last night on boards, and most people were fencing

Fencing indicates reference to the other person's attacks and giving blows and counter-blows,

Instead of fencing, with reference to personality interpretations and motives etc, maybe just try plain vanilla answers without any defence of ego.

That can be hard to those with huge vulnerable ego,

...continued...the Rabbi had a donkey and a lantern and a rooster as he began his journey. He was known for his teaching of thankfulness always in all things....

Yep, I believe the world's gettn too rotten to raise a kid in with any beauty. From public schools to television, the virtues are gone and what is filling up is predominantly trash.

I like the politics of George Washington and the Founding Fathers.

I like the Judaeo-Christian way of life, but it has been trashed and given over to television extremes conditioning the children more than most caring parents can overcome.

Things will not go on in a linear way, there will be cataclysmic changes. Consider how America was established and where it has wandered. Then evaluate if that foundation has crumbled. Look at the Declaration of Independence, the last few sentences.
Decide for yourself if those protections still can be expected.
The firey flying arrows, a symbol for ages of the Arabs, going back to Nimrod the mighty archer/hunter, hitting the twin towers of world finance and trade center of the world, was an eye-popping experience, for their historical significance of providential protection being lifted,...as a warning for sure, but not much heed taken. So what's next. ? Suitcase bombs or biological bombs, or what? Do you think the Ben Laden types are going to decide they quit trying to stop the USA and European countries from westernizing their life-style? I don't think so.

Maybe America gets weakened with multiple simultaneous attacks coordinated with a few in Europe, then the U.N. blue helmets and world army take marshall law on two continents to "keep the peace" under all the treaties FEMA has signed, and then that would be a free opportunity for the humongous attack on Israel by Russia, China, and the Arabs, and others....

Conclusion: just heard Elvis sing these words to this effect
I paid the price to speak the truth of my heart
i took the pounding, instead of trying to say people pleasing words,

I think, I know, prayers are needed more than political speeches by people who think some changes in law can help America's children.

A long time ago, in a land under the original Constitution of the United States of America, people believed in the absolute authority of the laws of nature AND of nature's GOD; and was so stated in their Declaration of Independence.


That Constitution gave certain rights to individuals.

The brave and the strong maintained a code of conduct which conformed to their sense of righteousness and honor.




Lately, since the replacement of Absolute Laws with Evolutionary Organic Plastic FLexible Bendable, mean what I want it to mean laws, many people have adopted an attitude of "all opinions are equally valid". And new sense of law seems to tell people that all opinions must be treated with equal respect. Another words
the fool who says 2+2=3 must be credited with equal time and rank compared with the man who teaches 2+2=4.

Wisdom is also cast out as a decision making tool, while 'zero tolerance' laws multiply in vain attempting to replace wisdom.
Zero Tolerance laws remove the burden of exercising wisdom .

We also see this in dealing with opinions on accounting, reporting, and television programming. God help the little children who must grow up in such society.

George Orwell's 1984 and that other guy's Brave New World Revisited deserve a renewal of attention.


Children now play on the streets with pretended gun shootings for the sake of motorists and pedestrians.

People speak from behind masks on the internet and take no shame.

And the little children knowing no different, think it's all normal, usual, and healthy. What will times be in 30 years?

The Declaration of Independence ( a shame it's not taught in school anymore like it used to be until 1948) declares the laws of nature and of nature's God, and references the Supreme Judge of the universe, and acknowledges our dependence upon the protection of Almighty God. George Washington made references to His wanting to be on the receiving end of God's help and not on the receiving end of God's judgment.

The book of Romans tells us we can know much of God from the things He has created. This is like saying, you can know a man by what he does. You can know a tree by it's fruit.

His mercies are new every morning. His mercies fall on the just and the unjust. His mercy is long suffering, patient, and enduring through our dispiseing of Him, that in the end He might save us from the path to hell. He knows we don't want hell, and He made a way for us to choose to remain on the same path and arrive in hell as surely as a rock dropped off a clift arrives at the bottom, or whether we arrive in heaven, by His tender mercies and long suffering mercies through the shed blood of His only begotten Son,...which was the only way He could pay the penalty for everyone of breaking the law. The penalty is paid, but each soul must lay claim to that redemption by faith.

God planned our redemption before the world began.
He fulfilled that plan 2,000 years ago through Jesus Christ and Him crucified at the cross through His shed blood .
All who believe, receive .

The law of God is like the bank of a river. It shows us the limits beyond which we should not pass.

To pass beyond the boundaries of the law gets the penalty of death.

The law was not given to kill us, but rather it was given to show us the limits to the area where we are safe, and the boundaries to areas where we fall off the cliff, sink in quicksand, fall into pits, and wander into poisonous water lakes.

Like a roadmap to a land filled with land-mines. The law shows us a safe path through the things that will destroy us. Even if someone doesn't understand yet why not to step on a landmind, he would be wise to follow the map and stay off the areas of landmines.

This board has allowed numerous posts on many thoughts besides USSE. The topics have included sports, politics, finance, and others. No reason to single out Jesus to be excluded.

Comments are deleted at the manager's discretion for several reasons including personal attacks, and vulgarities, and repetitive "board-burying" posts, mostly by a few.


Since most of the prosperous nations in the world have their calender dated from the crucifixion of the Lamb of God, a reference to His life and death is made every time a date is posted.

You know it was a man from Indonesia who pointed that fact out to me at TAMU. His Moslem nation had been helped more by the Christian nations. Hospitals, schools, food, and money came from those nations of Spain, England, America, nations which as a whole recognized,, and even honored God Almighty, our Creator.

There is also a huge revival of Christian faith occuring in Russia, China, India, .... God is here. There is a law we can see in physics which is a mirror of spiritual law... on the topic of action, in mechanics it is "for every action there is an equal and opposite" ...translated into spiritual and people it is recognized as God will honor those who honor Him, and be will deny those who deny Him..."

Intelligent Design of the universe means there's someone a lot bigger and more influential than any of us. He wants to help, and it is good to seek Him. Cause the law of entrophy says everything else is going downhill into chaos. He came to help those who would accept His help.

Rejoice that our Savior and Helper is born. And give Him the glory due to His name.

Riches

From what source comes the power to get wealth?
"But thou shalt remember the Lord thy God; for it is He that giveth thee power to get wealth." Deut. 8:18.

How may we honor God?
"Honor the Lord with thy substance, and with the first- fruits of all thine increase." Prov. 3:9.

What caution is given concerning riches?
"If riches increase, set not your heart upon them." Ps. 62:10.

Can riches be retained to our own hurt?
"There is a sore evil which I have seen under the sun, namely, riches kept for the owners thereof to their hurt." Eccl. 5:13.

Give an example of this.
"Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow Me, But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions." Matt. 19:21, 22,

Is it easy for the rich to enter the kingdom of God?
"And Jesus looked round about, and saith unto His disciples, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God!" Mark 10:23.

What charge is given to the rich?
"Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not high minded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy." 1 Tim. 6:17.

What are they further instructed to do?
"That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate; laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life." l Tim. 6:18, 19.

What dangers attend the getting of riches?
"But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition." 1 Tim. 6:9.

What makes rich without adding sorrow?
"The blessing of the Lord, it maketh rich, and He addeth no sorrow with it." Prov. 10:22.

How are true riches obtained?
"By humility and the fear of the Lord are riches, and honor, and life." Prov. 22:4.

Does happiness depend on earthly possessions?
"And He said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness; for a man's life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth." Luke 12:15.

Will silver or gold be able to deliver in the day of wrath?
"Neither their silver nor their gold shall be able to deliver them in the day of the Lord's wrath." Zeph. 1:18.

How did Moses esteem the reproach of Christ?
"Esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt; for he had respect unto the recompense of the reward." Heb. 11:26.

Mention two classes of rich men.
"There is that maketh himself rich, yet hath nothing; there is that maketh himself poor, yet hath great riches." Prov. 13:7.

Give an example of the first class.
"And he spake a parable unto them, saying, The ground of a certain rich man brought forth plentifully: And he thought within himself, saying, What shall I do, because I have no room where to bestow my fruits? And he said, This will I do: I will pull down my barns, and build greater; and there will I bestow all my fruits and my goods. And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry. What lesson may we learn from this parable?
"So is he that layeth up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God." Luke 12:21.

What fearful words are addressed to the rich oppressor?
"Your riches are corrupted, and your garments are moth eaten. Your gold and silver is cankered; and the rust of them shall be a witness against you, and shall eat your flesh as it were fire. Ye have heaped treasure together for the last days." James 5:2, 3.

How may the poor of this world be counted rich?
"Hearken, my beloved brethren; hath not God chosen the poor of this world, rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which He hath promised to them that love Him?" James 2:5.

Can we estimate the worth of the eternal inheritance?
"For since the beginning of the world men have not heard, nor perceived by the ear, neither hath the eye seen, O God, beside Thee, what He hath prepared for him that waiteth for Him." Isa. 64:4.

One example of what a moderator should not have to accept is

repeated posting of a member's deleted post by that member.

If the moderator deletes a post more than two or three times
it becomes a power struggle. If it continues for days it really infects the board. This is not what iHub is about. We should have a sharp sword to cut out the infection.

people who want to keep the peace and co-ordinate with the group

1. don't ask the same question more than 2 or 3 times
2. don't repeat something that is declared inaccurate more than 2 or three times
3. don't repeatedly ping-pong the argument
4. for sure stay far clear from appearing to impute dishonorable actions to the board moderator
5. don't bother to ask 10 paragraph answer type questions when you're only willing to read 5 seconds at a time.
6. pay attention to the details
7. if you're going to say much on the board, it's best to have read something worth saying in DD, instead of just pouring out words. ie engage brain b4 running mouth
8. we all started out at some point wanting people to just give us the answer,... but finally we learned how to read the DD
9. if you need help finding the dd, look at the ibox.
10. if you don't know what the ibox is, look at the top of each board, for general coverage before all the individual posts.
11. if you still need help, private message the moderator.
12. some boards are conversational, others are informational
The people trying to have information don't like to see it buried in a maze of personal bantering, bickering, arguing posts.
Most arguments merely show a failure to have read the available DD

We in America were given a republican form of gov which Noah Webster and others of the time 1750-1820 defined as a government with an established code of laws ie (ten commandments, Bible, the laws of nature and of nature's God) to which men could add but not subtract; and they could not add anything which went contrary to the primary set of laws.

The idea of a pure democracy was repugnant to them and that's why we weren't given a pure democracy. Although since the 1930's
Democracy and Education by John Dewey, gov schools have been used with intent to change the perception of America from being a republic to one of being a democracy (with intent of undermining the pre-set form of laws, the absolute laws).

By the 1950's the mass-democracy and evolutionary laws had pretty well replaced any concept of pre-existing Absolute Laws and the Republic.

BTW, through out history, pure democracies degenerated into anarchy.

The reason our way of electing officials (to the REPRESENTATIVE FORM OF GOV ) called a democratic vote,.... the reason that worked was because most of the people most of the time had mostly common ground on most things.

When pure democracy (without a pre-set and limiting form of law) is given reign, then each minority group of differing opinions tries to pass laws which we can characterize as "All blue eyed people have to pay double taxes "

Can't have a working democratic vote system to elect representatives in a strongly mixed culture such as we're fighting for overseas. It wouldn't have worked here, and it won't work over there. Why? Heart felt foundational differences , irreconcilable. Like trying to get the Jews and Arabs to accept a vote to decide who rules.

Ain't gonna happen.

Seems to me he doesn't want an archy here, and so has established rules. This is just to explain the limits of rules. It boils down in the end to this: you have to trust the wisdom of the judge (moderator) and evaluate his whole board.

cause some guys will cloak their personal attack with bacon and honey, and also include a comment about the stock to say it's on topic and not a direct personal attact, or they will try to rule by their opinion of what is vulgar or acceptable.


Isaiah 7:15 tells how Jesus was feed only good things until such time as he had acquired wisdom to know good from evil.


In the gospels, Jesus explains it is possible to break a lower rule in order to keep a higher rule such as healing (law of love) on the Sabbath (which ordinarly says don't work on the day of rest)

So rules don't cut it. Wisdom, love, mercy, truth , and acceptance, and reconciliation do.

A little background on the efficacy of rules from the Founding Fathers of America.

They recognized that a people could either be ruled by their own heart or by the point of a bayonet.

They recognized that they had written a Constitution which was not intended to have to rule by the point of a bayonet; it was only intended for a people who were mostly ruled by their own heart according to the laws of God.

Anyone who doesn't know the 7 references to God in the Declaration of Independence, please at least familiarize yourself with the idea of their recognition they were dependent on the divine providence of God for their protection.

So far as the complexity of laws (and rules ) goes, we have seen an explosion of laws at state and national level in the last 50 years trying to deal with "CONDUCT". It's not working.
There's no one to police the police, not at any level of fed, state, in accounting, law, voting, etc,... for sure I don't trust the black box vote system we now have.

Yup...I've always believed one could condense all the teachings of all the reasonable religions in the world down to two words...'be nice'...and that's nine less words than the 'golden rule'. But, here it is. It can be amplified by making ref back to the days of "when men were men" , and dueling backed up insults, and people were not able to run their mouth with an internet mask on.

So here it is:

Don't insult JR. Consider the tone of arrogance, & flipance & avoid it.

Don't try to micro-manage your flipping. And most of all talk to the man like a man, not like a arrogant kid.

The way some radio show hosts talk to ceo's is an insult.

The way some postings speak, shows the mask effect of internet talk which is so cheap.

But where there's honor, we can be honorable. Especially in talking with CEO of what many consider a hopeful, coming to fruition, dream corporation.

I hope no one treats JR like they've gotten used to treating others such as PR, and PV . A man who won't treat a man with honor, has no honor, until proven otherwise. Old proverb among men who were men.
