Yup...I've always believed one could condense all the teachings of all the reasonable religions in the world down to two words...'be nice'...and that's nine less words than the 'golden rule'. Why doesn't the world get it??...the answer is, imo...organized brainwashing by the intelligent, charismatic power hungry...a percent of the world population that, I'm sorry to say...will always be there.
