CUB—Yesterday’s PR (#msg-76957330) announced the appointment of an “interim” CEO (the existing CFO, who is 77), which implies that there was no bona fide succession plan in effect. Inasmuch as the deceased CEO was 97, the lack of a succession plan lends credence to the buyout scenario that I’m banking on.

I took profits today on CUB, which I bought in the 30s about three years ago. (Used the proceeds mostly to buy more CLF.)

Good luck to anyone here who owns CUB—you may yet get a lucrative buyout offer when the estate of the ex-CEO is finally settled.
