I just received a phone call from a friend who works for a head hunters firm based on the east coast, she called to ask me about IDCC regarding what might be going on at the company, since she remembers me talking about IDC about a yr ago telling her about the stock. It seems her associate has been getting calls from a few employees at IDC asking about there head hunting services to see what interest there for job openings in there field. Her firm deals with high salaried employees and specializes in the communications and engineering industry. I asked her why they were looking for other jobs, and stated confidentiality agreements with these clients, but her associate seemed to feel they were ready to move on and looking to see whats out there in the job market. I told her that IDC has put itself up for sale and could this be why they are looking, she does not think they would have any inside info on whats going on and maybe there frustrated and wish to explore the job market I am sorry I don't have any more info, but i thought I read some post about this and wanted to pass along this info.

To analyze any potential buyout value it can be broken down by looking at what a licensed OEM for 3G might pay for 4G?

For example lets say LG will probably be paying over $400 m[guess] for 4G.If they buy IDCC they save $400M.They then license Samsung for $500M They get about 600M in net cash from IDCC plus ongoing 3G license fees.Add in the nokia 3G license settlement, either through litigation or actual settlement about 600M.Nokia will also need a new 4G license, estimate 500M..add it up and estimate back revenues from all OEM's.Add current mkt opportunities, engineers, patents in progress but not issed. One can see how the low price might be 118 a share and the high even $200.

My guess 7B now because of the LG rights news. They will probably partener with Samsung and a few other Asian OEMs.
