looks like they feel the same way as the shareholders do LOLOL

I told her that IDC has put itself up for sale and could this be why they are looking, she does not think they would have any inside info on whats going on and maybe there frustrated and wish to explore the job market

Again, they may not have concrete info, but they may have enough clues or whispers to know that something tangible is happening.

So now we have: 1) your head hunter confirming about spike in job seekers from there
2) LTE watch saying the same thing.

Did your friend mention if the spike was recent?

I have to think that if the company I worked for was up for sale and with job uncertainty, I would want to put feelers out to see what my options are in the job market. It is a sucky feeling to not know what lies ahead when you're an employee. To me this is not a positive if part of the package if it is part of the package, includes retaining the engineers, inventors, etc. 4 months passing and feeling the instability they must feel working at IDCC can't be a nice and comfy feeling. The only thing this does confirm is that the employees are feeling like the long term investors...LET US KNOW WHERE WE STAND...NOT IN THE DARK!

This tale of intrigue doesn't do anything for me because a)your friend could have googled "IDCC" more easily than picking up the phone to call you and b)she deals with telecom and seems confused by why IDCC employees would come looking for work, as if there is a court imposed gag order that prevents them from saying "the company is for sale and I'm outta here", if that was on their minds.

Sorry, but IMO bogus.
