I was keeping "upcoming dates" in a file, so I could keep track of what was going on.

I show the UK trial set for sometime in October.

Now, you're saying it was set for anytime after May 11.

Did I miss an announcement by the court?

While you certainly could be right, I sure wouldn't bet on it.

Another interpretation is that the Court and/or one of the parties wasn't ready so the new date is just that: a new date consistent with everyone's (busy) calendars. Maybe the parties WERE ready but the court wasn't--as you said court dates are dependent on the Court finishing earlier trials on time. Maybe they didn't.

Alternatively both sides could have agreed to a continuance, for a variety of reasons, including settlement, or the pendency of other related issues (both sides might want to hear the outcome of the arb first and when the original date was set, no one knew when the decision date would be).

Lots of possibilities.

Maybe you're right but the fact of the matter is that things schedulled in court are delayed for lots of reasons, all the time.

I HOPE you're right though and I HOPE if there is a settlement it is a good one, and includes 3G and 2G and perhaps a new business relationship going forward, and becomes a TRUE watershed event--like ERICy was SUPPOSED to be but didn't turn out to be in reality unfortunately.
