My opinion is that if GTEL ever threatens big giant like Intel in a major way then i would expect Intel to simple take their check book out and buy them out rather then competing with them and loose millions. Isn't that always the case.

Yes, I think your assessment is fair. I would only add that Huffs "ultimate goal" for the superstructure was to find/deliver the last mile solution. This won't happen over night so how quickly or whether it is achieved is the question. If achieved it would stand to reason that the current WIMAX structure would be affected some where down the road..jmo..rock
