Last night I was thinking the exact same thing.

It is possible that Rosen will say that commons will receive something on Friday. More likely if he says equity will receive anything it will be the preferreds, but we will see.

I still think something is fishy about American National dropping their common stock claims in the DC case, and TPG being silent throughout this BK case.

Two major common shareholders...one is silent, the other is dropping the common stock claims ...in their own case!

Almost everyone expects commons to receive nothing, and it should be no surprise to anyone if the initial POR has nothing for equity. But Friday's numbers will by no means be final.

Good analogy. One thing I keep trying to figure out is how does Rosen/JPM/FDIC plan to take care of the WMB bondholders?

I know WMI doesn't have to but I just feel like Rosen will work with his JPM & FDIC pals to calm those bondholders so they don't tie everyone up in ligitation for years on end.

The FDIC has some cash to partially pay them but my guess is they offer them JPM shares. If they do that, why would they not also offer WAMU equity JPM shares so that it would settle each and every party in this bank situation.

Lawrence,

WMI will be filing the POR on Friday so that the debtors will not miss the exclusivity period which ends 3/26.

I beleive the POR is just a court filing not a court hearing.

The big question is when it will be filed.

Before market open or after the market closed.

But, on a side bar.. American Family Insurance case continues with the last two one week delays.. This last delay put them back to tomorrow. 3/23..

Waiting for the news..

GO WAMU..

Now you got it amigo! It's always about the money, they are probably making a killing steadily, much more than monthly billings, and now that we have arrived at a place where settlement/recovery seems very plausible, the game now is to keep us teetering on the brink for as long as possible, with huge volatility providing extremely lucrative swing-trading.

And Walrath is steadily letting them get away with it.

Thanks lady, so glad to have you on the taxpayer dole...funny isn't it, how people who contribute NOTHING to the GDP, make so dang much more money than those of us who do.

Chin up Wamu'ers, this ain't near over, we just need to take it to trial, and in Sleet's court.
