Grandetourismo, respect is never old school, its simply a courtesy displayed by those who have consideration for others, beyond just themselves. I have four children who have traveled with me extensively, and I expect nothing less from them. We were on vacation in Australia once, when a woman prior to leaving made it a point to come up to my wife and I to compliment us on our children, saying she had never seen a group like this (ages 2 to 15) behave so well.
That said, its a shame that educated professionals and executive management in these financial institutions, as well as in our own government, can't show consideration for the general population in terms of their life savings, pensions, etc. Their examples of self serving greed and power set a poor example for current as well as future generations.
I am not saying we aren't here to make money, nor would I ever. However, our investment decisions here are not ruining the lives of so many people. The WAMU issue should fall in our favor, as I do believe that our system of government still works and is one of the best out there. IF it doesn't, then we have even greater issues to be concerned about.
