First of all, welcome and I hope you will feel comfortable posting here. Having said that, this "political" discussion has been had 87 zillion times and nothing has/or will change about the policy regarding it either on IHub or VMC.

Some conservatives (excluding me) who might be reading this could easily get PO'd and reply and then we're off to the races about the Iraqi war and Bush and God knows what else. THAT WILL NEVER BE ALLOWED TO HAPPEN ON THIS BOARD. Nothing will get resolved and it will clutter the board. Very simple.
Almost any post can be modified to eliminate O'Bama vs McCain or Lib vs Con or Rep vs Dem. The vast majority of these posts do it easily while still making the economic points a person wants to make.
Just review the post before you hit "Submit" and see if it violates any of the above and you won't have any problem.
