Politics is inextricably linked to decisions made by politicians. That much is obvious. If the politics discussed were some social issue like gay marriage then it would be off topic....but everything I said was related to economics within the context of the post, whether you agreed with it or not. Its telling how you can't have a comprehensive discussion about the market without talking about government and politicians. Some free market. We think we are so much better than the Chinese because we have two parties instead of one. lol.

If you think calamity is inevitable and you just want to stall it, I find no disagreement there. But I have not seen the case made for this imminent calamity parroted by government officials. Paulson himself said he just came up with 700 billion because it sounded like a really big number.

I'm sorry but I demand more from those who wish to spend billions and billions to dilute my currency.
