Forbidden Planet is one of my (if not THE) all time favorite Sci-Fi Movies/stories!!

"That's true enough. But any organism dense enough to survive 3 billion electron volts would have to be made of solid nuclear material. It would sink of its own weight to the center of this planet."

I always LOVED the fact, that since the "monster" was created by the sub-conscious mind, it did NOT have to conform to normal adaptive evolution, or physics, or logic,....basically as surrealistic as you can imagine it....

cool stuff.

absolutely loved that movie... practically spawned quality self contained and useful robots... can see all the dials just lighting across the room in my minds eye too. Without doing a internet search, I've forgotten what planet they were on. Mars?
Hope to see your project happen....

oh.by the way, what happened to clrx?

Whoa!

I remember that one. As a kid the sound effects of that
invisible monster caught in the force field scared hell out of me!

Now let's not forget that beautiful blond daughter in it as well!

Forbidden Planet is getting made, it's a prequel, like my story I sent in 3 years ago, this sounds exactly like it, my story is a prequel and the technology acquisition idea is the most important part of my story:

" Instead of being set in a far off future, the prequel's actually set in a near future. The technology used to send the Bellerophon to Altair is pretty new, and the way in which mankind gets the knowledge needed to do it is a critical component to the plot. "

the above is an excerpt from a review titled:

"Script Review: Forbidden Planet Could Be James Cameron's Next"
