$14-$15k a year would be around half of what Leqembi/Donnenamab seemingly are to be priced at. $8k-$10k per year as you suggested would be a very steep discount.

I disagree...

" But unless we partner with a major pharma, we're going to have to compete with the mabs and ultimately the doctors who prescribe them and have cozy relationships with the sales reps. "

Blarcamesine is safer and once it is approved I expect patients and physicians will start discovering that there are some positive "side effects" that go beyond the targeted disease.

I'm pretty sure that all of the mabs come with a blackbox warning that emphasizes the dangers of death due to brain bleeds, etc.

So, if the doctor is true to his/her hippocratic oath of "First, do no harm" to the patient, I would think that Blarcasamine - with its superior safety record - is an easy choice for the doctor to make.

And frankly, the liability issue would be hard to justify. Can you imagine the lawsuit(s) against the doctor (and the hospital) if the patient died of a brain bleed after prescribing a mab...when A2-73 was available?

Yikes!!!

I don't think competing with mabs is much of a competition: 2-73 is more efficacious and safer and doesn't require the high overhead of drug administration on top of the price of the drugs and doesn't require MRIs every few weeks. When you take the mabs your brain shrinks...faster! Not a selling point.

Either way, with a partner or without a partner, 2-73 is going to go head to head with mabs.

Hopefully we get a partner or get bought out.
