That makes sense and I don’t disagree in theory, but I’m not going to discount the profit motives at stake. Hospitals and doctors stand to make a lot more money pushing the antibody treatments. If it were reversed, if Anavex had the more expensive option and BP came out with a daily oral pill that is also safer, I 100% think it gets adopted immediately. But we are possibly going to face an uphill battle unless we can find a willing large partner with an equally powerful sales team—and those partnerships aren’t cheap!

“ Blarcamesine is safer and once it is approved I expect patients and physicians will start discovering that there are some positive "side effects" that go beyond the targeted disease.”

Hell yes! Who wants to risk death while paying up for, 1 of 12 (?) invasive infusions? Word will spread fast imo. The lid will have to come off one day soon and the drug will sprrad like wildfire as soon as Medicare, Medicaid, and the major medical insurance coverage is approved. Getting the Fda or EMA to approve is only half of the battle. Hopefully they will see the long term benefits, like you mentioned, to further pave the way for prophylactic use.

No Side Effects, Just Side Benefits

...I expect patients and physicians will start discovering that there are some positive "side effects" that go beyond the targeted disease.

Yes, once blarcamesine is approved and being used in the treatment of CNS patients, a major concern will always be the "side effects" problems with CNS (and other) drugs.

I contend that blarcamesine will have no "side effects" of any consequence or significance. For blarcamesine, it will be just the opposite. The drug will display favorable "side benefits." Not only will the disease being treated be favorably addressed (the drug will work), but, at the same time, a number of "side benefits" will be obvious. One side benefit of blarcamesine will be dramatically improved sleep.
