The public isnt informed its fed part truths to keep them distracted.
Almost everything about Tesla is based on alot of part truths or even lies. How much pollution is caused by the creation of electric vehicles is small potatoes compared to the dangers the vehicles present to the public due to going out of control, spontaneously combusting & suspension spontaneously fracturing.

EMI & Hutchison Effect are causing various hazards in these vehicles and thus they need to be banned from the roads and peoples garages.

Crudeoil24 : You may have missed the memo but the future of the planet depends on shifting away from fossil fuels. I am sure you are aware that the U.S. has not brought a coal powered power plant online since 2013 and coal is being used much less in the production of electricity. Wind, solar and water are being used more for our needs. I do not expect natural gas to be eliminated for electricity generation but it will be reduced as renewable energy continues to grow. Nuclear energy seems like a good bet to play a big role as well.

Even if those number were correct, will it stay that way forever?

I drive a Tesla (as does my wife) only partially for environmental reasons. However, I have to take issue with some of that you say.

In California, where we live, over one-third of the total California energy mix (including electricity imports) electricity comes from from renewable sources. In addition over 9% of the total energy mix icomes from "large hydro" which s distinguished from small hydro and is considered 'non-renewable'. See https://www.energy.ca.gov/data-reports/energy-almanac/california-electricity-data/2021-total-system-electric-generation
