That's false propaganda. Whats going on will occur whether we stop polluting or not as has way more to do with earths weakening magnetic field. That weakening allows more radiation to come into the earth leading to warming, ice melting, and water evaporation (why you have drought in areas seeing excessive rain).
Yes humanity is making the issue slightly worse but halting our activity will not stop its progress. Interestingly, as our magnetic field gets weaker we will see global cooling not continued warming...

I think we are already seeing some cold/heat transfer occuring the way sunspots do. Ive started monitoring the planets thermosphere and there are odd sudden drops in temperature. Usually reduced solar activity causes gradual cooling of the thermosphere. However these drops seem to occur much faster and are for short periods of time so far; maybe representing a few days to a week before temperature begins recovering.
