Talk about grasping at the last straw. So now the companies future hinges on some tiny COVID study that no one cares about or expects anything from? I’d say unbelievable but it’s you. It’s always all about the next study to confirm RIt. You’re obsessed with COVID while sane people moved on from that scam many months (years) ago.

Weren’t you supposed to leave with the Baker bros? Don’t let the door hit ya where the good Lord split ya.

I am trying to understand your post concerning Mitigate validating R-I.

Since we know separation of the curves is around 2 years, then I assume you are going to have to wait almost another year for Mitigate? I know you have indicated that the subjects in Mitigate are "sicker" but will there still be enough events for the naysayers not to say that the study was underpowered or not stat sig?

You are aware of the Dr. Bhatt tweet (in response to some doc wannabe who bashed RESPECT) where he claimed RESPECT did indeed validate R-I indicating that the naysayers could quibble about the p value, but there was no question about the validity of the study.

Kiwi, I'm afraid that a slew of researchers and cardiologists including the PI of REDUCE-IT would disagree with your wife's opinion as to the scientific weight that RESPECT-EPA has provided in support for the findings in JELIS and REDUCE-IT for reducing CVD risk.

RESPECT-EPA discussed beginning at 2:22 here:

The science on CVD is in. MITIGATE tertiary endpoints would be nice but not necessary at this point.

Kiwi, tell your wife to prescribe “drink lots and lots” of water to her patients instead of drugs. Good old fashioned water to flush out the kidneys.
My last blood test annual Gfr (kidney function) went from 48 to 64. The only thing I did different is consumed lots more water. In my layman’s opinion, I don’t think people in general consume enough water, especially in winter.
Just my two cents.
