Kiwi, I'm afraid that a slew of researchers and cardiologists including the PI of REDUCE-IT would disagree with your wife's opinion as to the scientific weight that RESPECT-EPA has provided in support for the findings in JELIS and REDUCE-IT for reducing CVD risk.

The science on CVD is in. MITIGATE tertiary endpoints would be nice but not necessary at this point.
