I don't disagree, but $90K really isn't all that much to stage a major PR event, which the Experts Theater could be. Not that the Journal wouldn't be out, it could be, and with the timing right, so could an ASCO presentation.

I would think it best to reveal the Abstract at the scheduled time, immediately follow it with the Journal, then the Presentation, and finally the Experts Theater. It would really turn ASCO into a major coming out party.

Yes, a product theater is expensive. A TV Commercial is ridiculously expensive, like $30M line item expensive, but in order to increase awareness and rapidly gain market share, you spend what you need to spend.

ASCO Product theaters aren’t really for physicians, few go. The scientific session is for data release, the theater is for hype.

Are there any restrictions to theater presentations, such as not presenting pre-released information? If not, theoretically they could present anything they like and not have to worry about a journal article coming out first. I remember discussions on this board regarding the main venues having restrictions and issues with it being timed with TLD, PR's, and Journal articles.
