There's no doubt plastics are a problem,

I'll always pick it up when I see it. I remember when disposable diapers were a BIG problem in the waterways up North, probably still are.
Was it the Matrix where the machine called the human race the worst virus on the planet? I have to agree with that, we can really suck.

maybe this explains our low rankings. Private not gubmint contractors no doubt, but prolly explains why so much waste that ends up in the ocean comes from that area of the world. Those poor people have no idea how to deal with it. Where's JBII and Bordynuik when you need them?

Back in the 70's and 80's and even 90's we had mob owned waste outfits from the East Coast that would dump their toxic sludge on our country roads.
I used to think the oily looking gravel and dirt roads was something counties used to keep the dust down.
